Thanks Bob, love your videos, I’m learning from each of them. I will put into practice your shared experience when I’m rebuilding my V12. Best wishes Nick 😊

Great hands on step by step. I may never own a V12, but this type of methodology can be applied to some other similar situations. Thank you

I use similar bearing/ bushing pullers at work, they’re fine pitch hardened threads and the nuts have built in roller bearing washers and they frequently damage the threads so yours performed pretty well

Great tool making Bob! I don't have the space but I can see a lathe comes in very handy. To bad you don't have the time to make and sell these tools as you create them. I think there is a market. Keep you the great work.

@@jeffharrison5265 my lead is a 9 inch Enco that fits on a benchtop and I bought it 15 years ago for $150. Put $300 with the parts in it and I can’t tell you how much money it saved me over the years.

Tell the editor to lower the volume of the background music when you are talking (first scene after the intro was hard to hear). Otherwise good video overall. You mentioned the milage, but I'm curious of what year it was manufactured. I know that the pre-85 years (BL) were the worst in terms of QC for Jaguar over all and I wonder if that was a posible factor.

@@thecampchaoschronicles9567 🤦‍♂ (Note to self: read the title before commenting or asking questions.) Thanks for taking the time and replying to a dumb question.

Is it true that the 2 holes in the jackshaft align with the TDC? I remember a Jaguar mechanic who mentioned that when replacing the distributor.

I simply cannot believe that you did not oil the threads or under the head of the drawbar nut, WTF! Nice tool though

It turns out the Irwin tap I used had a defective pitch on the thread and seized after several turns like a metric nut on an sae bolt . Cleaning up the thread made a big difference. The hardened washer makes lube unnecessary.
