This is the first time I have seen the use of painters tape, this is a good tip if your doing the job by yourself, not really necessary if you have a helper on their own stepladder I also did not see the use of a plastic wallpaper tool to smooth with to make sure no trapped air or any creases. e alHe is using gloves to smooth, I guess whatever works best for you. I have always used either a plumb bob line or a laser tool to see where you need to start, as we all know walls and corners are almost always not plumb nor corners at 90 degree perfect. If you get the first piece plumb and straight you will have much less fiddling to do as you go. This is very important if you design has very detailed design that must match perfectly . When hanging a plain or an Ombre or a design like a starry sky that has less fiddly matches you may not have to overlap at all. Also, when getting your paper, keep it in the room where it will be installed for several days to allow it to rest much like is done with laminate flooring. The walls cannot be textured, and if the drywall has been only primed, I would paint it with an eggshell as flat, matte or gloss will not hold the self sticking wallpaper as well and you could get come peeling. I always use the very best Exacto knifes available over a box cutter or regular utility knife and I always use either a straight ruler or my plastic wallpaper smoother then cutting to get a perfect cut. If you mess up or if your trim and or walls are not exactly straight, then you can always buy framing strips, quarter round etc. Like anything preparing the wall surface properly, having the right tools ready and at hand, having a safe ladder to stand on will make hanging ANY wallpaper much easier. I think talking a friend into helping is also a smart thing to do. I am 71 and I used to do all my own DIY alone, but now I want someone to be with me to help if needed, and to be there should I fall off my ladder or cut myself badly or anything happens, they will be there to help or goodness forbid, call the paramedics! I just installed a mural on a uninterrupted wall save two outlets, it was 15 ft wide and 8 ft tall. At 71 yrs I am pretty darn proud of myself.

Do you think it is possible to apply this self-adhesive stuff over a painted concrete wall?
Hi were print shop and yes but there is special material for that. Has to be high tack textured or rough wall vinyl. Same you’d use for any brick or even concrete. Regular vinyl or wall vinyl will not hold.
hi, is it transparent whatsoever, could someone put lights behind it and the lights shine through
Do you recommend sealing this with something when done?
