Ich muss gestehen. Ich liebe das PI! Ich habe in der *überleg* 7. Klasse angefangen es auswendig zu lernen. Zu der Zeit stand es bis zu 32 im Mathebuch. Die ich relativ schnell auswendig konnte. In diversen Mathe-Klausuren war dies zwar nicht praktisch, aber sehr eindrucksvoll. Mittlerweile habe ich die 100 geknackt. Nach einiger Zeit habe ich weitergemacht und kann jetzt 102 Stellen des PIs auswendig aufsagen. Ich wünsche euch viel spaß und Vergnügen mit dem PI! :)

The amount of numbers after the decimal point is infinite so pi is called an irrational number (meaning infinite). you may not believe that but it has to be infinite so people can show the exact location (the farther the number from the decimal point the better it tells the location.) Also pi is an irrational number somewhere very very close to the regular 3.

Youre probably right, but do a search on "Hard n Phirm are smarter than me." and you should find a video where they do come close to finishing it, Mike Phirman keeps going, and can likely finish it, but Chris Hardwick stops it short, and I am guessing he's unable to keep up that night. I think they know 150 digits for that song.

That's 400 decimal places, not 5000, and typing it in to a keyboard is not evidence of having memorized it. Besides, the world record for reciting pi from memory is 83,431 decimal places, set in October, 2006.

Yes, 1/3 is 0,3 with infinite 3s.
So 1 == 0,9(infinite 9s, as above), its because the way we write numbers is indefinite.
