Just watched this great review again ……2 kegs on my next delivery before the weekend! Simon has done the business again by imparting enthusiastic knowledge. Nice one, mate.
Just bought a Royal for the first time today, never came across it before.I guess because I live in northern germany, those southern specialties arent as common here. It tastes really good
Agree, this is one of the best Weissbier, even in Germany very rare, you can find in Bavaria and cost roughly 1GBP for a bottle of 0,5l. I had to watch your review while I drunk this glass of heaven
'I'm gonna rate it'. You can feel the intent, the purpose. It needs some Michael Bay music before he goes in for the rating kill. Pounds the heart it does.
What would recommend to someone that is only starting to explore the German beer landscape but want to start by trying something similar to the traditional light lagers like Heineken or Carlsberg etc?
"Even the birds on a good winter's day"........What a poet you are Simon..😄

Had this recently in berlin, probably the best beer i have had.
Wow!!! What a beer! What a beer!
I have had 21 different perfect draft kegs and for me this was number 1.
The last couple of pints out the keg are incredible! Like soup!
Great review Simon as always. I was fortunate enough to get a keg of it. Absolutely magnificent.
Love that glass Simon. Have one myself. Highest quality Weissbier glass!
If you remove the drip and slide the machine to the edge of the counter the weissbier glass would fit just fine.
Wish I could try it here in Sweden.. I love Weissbiers, drinking a bottle of the normal Franziskaner right now.. ^^

Agreed. Goosebumps.
Full body is what i like about a good Weissbier. On a winters Day you need it to be little bit stronger.
This is one of the best German beer of which u can buy in tesco easily
Wish I could have the chance to try the draft version
@Muzza you can’t buy the royal version in Tesco
I’ve got the Dunkel to try, I’m gonna get this and give it a go🍺
I looooove this beer! 😍🍺👌
"I'm going to review at 6% ABV" didn't you mean "6 degrees" Simon?
Would love to try San Miguel on the perfect draft

Try Weissbier
I found weiss after a journey through blanches/wits.
I highly recommend this expedition.
Amazing beer, which it was available all year round though. 1) Drunken Sailor, 2) Royal, 3) Dark Arts
gonna have a 16% danish brown ale this eaving
What shop are you referring to Si? I’m from Cardiff and would love to stop at the shop and see what they have
Thanks for reviewing these machines.
Once chilled does the perfect draft keep it chilled?
The PD sits at 3 degrees at all times, there is no way to change the cooling temp ...
Remove drip tray and paulaner glass fits a treat 👌
Looks like a decent pint.
Cmon Simon whats the name of your local shop, il be driving down from Newport!
Why don't you move you machine to the edge of the bench and remove the drip tray for using taller weissbier glasses?
Why not turn the PD off and keep your bar at 6 degrees ?
One naughty gilet that Si gitup stone the crows!
I don't have anything like that over on this side of the pond, but, out of curiosity, how many pints do you get from a keg?
10.5 pints in the 6 litre keg
The best!!
It was never £40 on beerhawk it’s around £35
I bought it in a shop not online, must have paid over the odds?
@@realaleguide Yes shops tend to mark the kegs up to make a profit, fantastic beer tho one of my favourites
Four kegs Simon?! Four? That's insane.
Chance would be a fine thing
Best on the pd
amazing. BUT TRY HERTOG JAN!!
Can't compare franz royal to Hertog Jan!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂
@@src2251 no comparison at all

Si it's never been £40
