The progress I have made by doing this everyday with a metronome is staggering, some days I've been able to stabilize 10 - 20 bpm higher than the previous day adding in different patterns. Would definitely recommend people use one.
That’s really good I’m impressed. May I make a suggestion? Say, chukka, chukka, real slow on the in breath, and out breath, and slowly speed it up until you’re doing chukka chukka in quadruplets or triplets. Then say chooka chooka. When you’re at the point of doing the quadruplets say chucka chuck.
Hey buddy had to come back and re-learn the Train Sound. This technique above all others, the one that gets get ya "back on track" ( pun intended of course.. 😊
Look Tom, I need tuesdays gone by Metallica, there is a portion in that song completely done by harmonica, thats the part i need, could you cover it in one of your videos? Its really good. Thx.
I know how tough it can be when life gets in the way and certainly not an expert or a top level musician. But have found even 5-10 minutes of serious practice on the difficult or new material is better than nothing. Hope everything works out for you.
I'm really starting to love harmonica. I'm a fast learner so I've only been playing for a week and I can already out-play Buddy Greene, but there's still so much to learn! (I'm joking, I suck)
Hey Tomlin I don't know if you take requests but I would love a video teaching us the riff in "Where did our love go" by the J Giles Band, I cant seem to find a tutorial. Thanks for the awesome videos as always
I am only playing 2 weeks and love you lessons but OMG the clicking fingers for me is like a fork scraping teeth .or nails on a blackboard I will just have to get used to it though because your lessons are wonderful 👍
Hi Tom. Great videos. When doing the train exercises am I blowing in ad well as out or just blowing out. I'm not trying to sound dumb but I just wanted to make sure I'm doing it correctly. As i blow out as well as in. Thanks. I just signed up for your 4 week course.
I love Lee oskar harmonicas but they are nothing to compare with hohner marine band pear wood sounds more bluesy but cuts the lips if you're not use too it. Even the wooden comb still sounds better
