Thanks a lot, I really appreciate the encouragement! Hope to have a new video in the next few days on how to choose the Best Train Tracks for Cities Skylines.
I know what you mean, I just got tired of the vanilla turnouts and actually banged my head up against the wall getting it configured. My first video is longer and slower but tells you how to setup a new map. Thanks for the comment!!
Hey @oldbore Just discovered the mod midgame about 25.000 inhabitants and several lines. Do I have to replace all the vanilla tracks with the rw2 tracks by myself or is there an automatism? And the elevated tracks looks kinda weird. Is there fix or a solution for my/this problem?
Is there a way to visualize switches on train stations while using elevated railroad? When I try to join them to the trainstation I get an invisible space, probably because the switches are not rendering. How do I solve this?
@@oldbore @oldbore Cool mod but I don't think it will solve the issue. What I am talking about is that I have a problem like yours in 0:13 (look that the bridge is not fully connected), but instead I have an invisible section. If I try to edit the nodes to "remove" the switches, my trains might stuck, and I have no idea how to solve this if not using the default vanilla tracks for stations
Hi on Sept. 15 REVO, the creator says it works. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1530376523 If it doesn't, you could lay the tracks by hand and use unlock segment with network multitool to change the station tracks. Take care.
Hi Jan, I believe railway replacer is a completely different mod built for railway 2 and railway rails. Sometimes other rails appear in this selection window.
@@oldbore with M.O.M. enabled alongside railway replacer I don't get the RR menu pop up while plopping railway stations, forcing me to use vanilla station tracks. M.O.M. has a feature that enables turning railway station tracks into metro tracks and vice versa, so i think this is the conflict
I refer to Railway Replacer. Alt Shft P. I dont think it is compatible. I think there ia another mod that allows you to choose train rails or metro rails. Cant remember its name. If RW2 dosent appear it probably isnt compatible. Let me look into it. :)
@@oldbore I'm familiar with it, but the metro system in my most recent build is MOM, and it sadly doesn't have all the MOM functionality... I ended up working around the issue with _RON - the network replacer._ as it turns out, it supports RW1&2 tracks, so i got rid of the vanilla station tracks that way.
@@oldbore I meant in the Steam Workshop, but when i tried to use it, it didn’t work because it was made for a different version of the game than the one i am using.
Hi, those are station tracks that have a higher entry than ground level, such as the RAILWAY 2 - American Concrete Station Tracks (High Entry) steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2721998933 they go with stations that have a high, or higher entry for passengers such as the West Haven Rail Station - Double Track steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2807575705 or high entry platform stations. You have to walk up steps, which pedestrians don't do well, they clip usually. Check out my new series on Remote Japan! Take care.
You made the video tutorial full of details. You deserve more subscribers and more likes from viewers.

Thanks for the walkthrough. I've stayed away from Railway2 as long as possible because my dumb ass brain simply couldn't cope with all the options 😅

Use RON. Its in the first video on the channel. Thanks for watching.

I think this mod might help, Advanced Stop Selection Revisited 2.1 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2862973068&searchtext=advanced

Great video. Do you know if this is compatible with the New Plaza and Promenades DLC?

@@oldbore thank you
Also you can add signals to normal american ralilway 2 tracks using normal junctions, not tmpe. I faild to mention that.
when I hit alt+shift+p the railway replacer pops up but the pannel is empty I can't find the problem
You will have to lay down some vanilla train track to allow those assets to appear. OB
@oldbore I've already done that
Amazing tutorial! New sub
Thanks, I am hoping these will get people using Railway 2.
is it compatible with MOM? I don't get the station tracks menu when selecting stations..

Hey Jan check this out, I thought I saw something a while ago on the workshop:
MetroReplacer

Can I use European and American trains at the same time?
Sure, subscribe to both, do you mean tracks or vehicles? Yes to both.
It was about whether American and European trains were at the same time
See this video about how to do the whole setup. th-cam.com/video/4i210_6D1wk/w-d-xo.html
Also subscribe to American and European base props. Have fun!
Does Railway 2 cost?
It is free on steam workshop. Or do you mean in game?

Would love to use this but whatever I do pressing Alt+Shift+P does nothing.
Hi Britonbear, did you enable the Railway Replacer mod in your content manager?
@@oldbore Yes I have checked that (amongst a myriad other things).
Did you ever get it working? I put a comment on the steam workshop page for the creator of the mod, check there.
@@oldbore Thank you, I will check that out. I still haven't been able to bring up the replacer window with Alt+Shift+P.
@@Britonbear check you keyboard shortcuts maybe there is a conflict
I can't Create a line, what should I do?
You need to plop a vanilla train station first then you can add Railway 2.
What does high entry mean?

I found some realistic German trains in the steam workshop. I am currently quite pleased and i just want to replace the catenary and barriers.
I am not sure if German has those. Use Swiss if not. Thanks
