The song is about the Hindenburg disaster. More specifically, the most famous photograph of the event. In the image, the tail of the airship is engulfed in fire and as a result - hides the swastikas emblazoned on the stabiliser/rudders. Point being; the disaster and the image of it drew attention away from the ties the airship had to Nazi Germany. Therefore the song describes the impact a particular image can have on how you perceive the historical context of a given event. "Omission is deception".
The drum work in their debut album “Kezia” is pretty incredible. Check out “nautical” off that one sometime! If I remember right, they were only 16 or 17 when they made that LP.
Glad you liked it! "The Canary" is another single from that album if you're interested. Musically, it doesn't have the same big, epic feel. But the story of that track is beautiful & tragic, & I actually like it just as much, if not more than "From the Sky."
I don't typically love clean high register vocals but it works so fucking well with Protest The Hero. Rody has some insane range. You guys have to listen to Bloodmeat or Sequoia Throne, basically anything of their album Fortress.
I got tickets to a Protest show and they canceled because they couldn’t pull off their songs live. They went and practiced for a few months then gave everyone new tickets for free. They murdered the show! 🤘
I’ve never heard of that happening. It’s quite irresponsible of the band to try to put on a show if they’re not sure they’re up to par with playing. Every band usually rehearses months before a tour begins

I have always loved the meanings behind protest the heros lyrics, Hair trigger for example is just genius.
My absolute favourite band of all time.
Likewise. The first four albums are literally flawless
Most underrated band of all time..!
Their album “Fortress” is my favorite. I miss you Ricky. You were my best friend.
Was the most underrated bands on the face of the earth

DO MORE PROTEST! I dig your reactions. But this is maybe their 10th best song. ❤
These guys opened for Metallica in Halifax 2011. I swear it was the craziest the crowd was all night (other than the main course) Canadian treasure 🇨🇦

That may be one of the greatest bridges ever written in a song

He's basically a power metal vocalist haha. It's a cool combo when you pair it with that progressive metalcore style.
From what i know of you, youd love the album kazia. Its a convept album written beautifully.

Such An amazing band I met them on the kezia tour with trivium on the crusade tour in 06

@@djentyman4002 I don't think that ever happened. The guys in the band are all phenomenal musicians
@@djentyman4002 no he suffered vocal damage a few years ago and is still recovering.
Highly recommend you check out more, starting with Bloodmeat.
The first four albums in whole are flawless.
This is a seven compared to the ten they were before
Hard disagree. They have been absolutely consistent their whole catalogue
One of the worst bands I ever heard reacting to one of the best bands I ever heard. Interesting.
