For all my competitive players. You should Veiler Ice 100% of the time if you open two hand traps. Holding those low impact hand traps only beats Dugares. Ice alone sets up the rank 4 to protect duo. Veiler, simper and mourner loses to Blast Dragon and Ash, Nib ogre also lost to Traptrix. So if you only have 1-2 of the low impacts throw them at the ice because the second one can cover the duo if they don’t have the 2nd extender. If you hold you lose 100% of the time
@@TheDBGrinder bro what? What’s the point in holding an Imperm, ash or Veiler? Holding it for game 2?? If you just have Veiler just throw it at the Ice or you can never use it.
@@wisdom3416 really really easy. crossout designator. they’ll save the crossout to protect duodrive no matter what so ash + veiler sequence should be ash to duodrive, they chain crossout, you chain veiler or imperm. same thing with ghost ogre + imperm/veiler. not to mention it could be a way to play into talent really early to veiler the ice and they just rip your engine and play around your remaining interaction or rip your interaction and plan the end board according to your engine. and in the case they don’t have crossout, you are literally better off holding that additional hand trap. if it’s ash + imperm and they have no crossout and have to end on detonator with no cross or plugin to back it, you get to imperm the detonator and deal with the board. if it’s ash + veiler, then that veiler could be a card useful for the grind or in the worst case scenario discard fodder. why would you just throw away cards LMAO
To be honest, with the sheer amount of non engine people are playing, doing stuff like Ashing a Bonfire might be correct, just off the very real chance that it ends their then
these decks also play 3 crossout and 3 desires along with 1 prosperity as well usually s the chance they don’t have an extender or defensive card for a bonfire getting ash’s is too high for the risk the other thing to factor in is that any hand where their only play is bonfire and ash doesn’t get hit with crossout means that’s 4 hand traps in hand. meaning that going next, we need to make sure we have 5 cards of all gas ourselves to cover it. as such, there aren’t many hands where trading an ash with a bonfire make sense. even if we have another with it, everyone is on crossout meaning the optimal way to play is to hit their duodrive with ash, they crossout, and then your next hand trap can usually cover it like a veiler or imperm which we play 3 of each in this deck. and if they don’t have crossout for it, they play heavily into nib and the possibility of our remaining hand trap being an imperm that contends with the detonator on the following turn completely as they don’t have reliable access to plug-in to play through it. the other thing is imagine you’re not playing the mirror match. imagine you’re playing fire king which has less room for non engine. you want the hand traps you use to be high impact and at the point that is least punishable. you have to rely on your engine being able to beat their engine, even though diabellstar especially plays horribly into detonator.
Returning player here !! I quit around the time imperm was released and people were saying that it would be out of the format within a couple seasons. Now look what we have here in 2024. Imperm is still viable. I knew all along it would be a card that would have longevity.
if you play the trap, you have the opportunity to setup a bagooska on their turn by using plugin. you can often end on Detanator + body with plugin set and then use the plugin to summon out another card, giving you follow up, and attaching the trap to your detonator. then you can detach the trap when it’s relevant either for a cross negate or a detonator pop or a detonator protect, and then after that you have an opportunity at any time to xyz into bagooska using your trap in GY.
Normally yes, but since Detonator was on chain after Eclipse, Imperm will negate, then Detonator will pop Thode, so then it won't "forget an applied imperm" via being facedown because it never became facedown.
I think Number 103: Ragnazero should be played over Light Dragon @Ignister. You're almost always summoning it while you have Duo Drive, and in the mirror, its quick effect is insane vs your opponent's Duo Drive
I’m confused about the freakout over not using Deadnader not protect? It couldn’t use effect to protect since Ty-phon on board. Or am I missing something simple here? Don’t know the deck yet so figure I’d ask

imper is one of the best ht that is played together with veiler which is even older.
I feel like I’m the only one who loves watching how people play Ryzeal
The mirror match feels more like the better player won
ye i feel like its that way for now but soon its gonna be VERY toxic , once its more solved its gonna be rough to play infinite ryzeal mirrors
Trying to get better here, so is there a specific scenario to making bagooska going first? Sometimes i can but just choose duodrive deadnator..

it really depends on what you have but sometimes you just skip deadnadder and make gooska
