Well, I am an old, saggy, female, independent moderate. Are you in an intimate relationship? Do you let your partner encourage you to break the law? When your partner breaks the law, are you responsible? Your partner is not required by law to believe the way you do. Judges, lawyers, and elected officials are supposed to have the personal fortitude to do what is legal. If a partners idea is good and legal, no problem. Nothing wrong with receiving wisdom. If it is illegal, they are not supposed to go along.
Why are people assuming that he is easily swayed? Is it because they are? He has not been able to respond to the slander because he has been in the hospital. Shouldn’t you have not rushed to judge, like the left does, and waited to hear from all sides? Is what his wife did even illegal? Al Gore called for a recount and he wasn’t judged a subversive. An election in Florida was recently overturned by a judge. If I remember correctly a person who formerly held the office did some illegal things. The media implies there is never any fraud in elections. They are liars. Maybe not enough to change the outcome, but people have been convicted.
The news media is just supposed to report facts. They are not supposed to manipulate them. That is why I call them paparazzi. They are in it for money and power now.

As all of this unfolds, I can't help but think that these people weren't actually that gullible, but that they had a motive behind all of it all along. To think, that some of the highest ranked respected individuals, who are supposedly are very intelligent, bought into a lie without any real evidence, that just doesn't feel right. I believe they had alternative motives all along and the proof is in their wallets. All of these individuals are corporate owners or have big stakes in corporations. I believe they actually did know the 2020 election was a fare, but they did it because of their corporate interests and connections. I think they calculated that as long as Donald Trump was in office, acting as their corporate leader, they could continue to fleece Americans. Take for example the Federalist group that gave Donald Trump a list of judges to replace supreme court judges that passed away. Each one of them were chosen because of their links to corporate money and interests. Donald Trump even admitted he put them in the position to work for him. And, when it comes to religion and personal choices, that's why Amy Barrett was on the list. Religion is big money, it's not a salvation for humans. According to the words of Jesus and the Bible, "Split wood, I am there. Lift up a rock, you will find me says ". You don't need a church to love or worship your savor, but there's sure a lot of big money making churches in this country. I've read that Pastor Kevin Copeland's had a net worth at $760 million? And this guy recently told his followers that he needs them to pay for another airplane that costs 54 million dollars. If you look at what holdings these people have it becomes pretty clear they need certain people in office to maintain their status and wealth. If you didn't notice earlier this year, but almost every Republican and two Democrats (who I actually believe are really conservatives and they lie when they ran for the Democrat positions), shot down raising taxes on the rich to pay for the costs of giving child credits, cleaning up our planet, etc. in the bill present by President Joe Biden. Just think about it for a minute. Do you really believe they were gullible about the lie or were they doing it for their own personal benefit?

That Clarence allowed his wife to be part of this coup should be grounds for removal. Not because a wife should do a husband's bidding but that as a Supreme Court Justice he should know it;s illegal, immoral and unAmerican and should have made that abundantly clear. Having failed to do so, he should have brought her malfeasance to the Congress and the justice department for prosecution. He is not Constitutionally bound to turn in his wife as a husband but as a Justice it is his duty. To not do so makes him complicit in insurrection and a coup. He should be removed.

So you mean you’re telling me that this was a really bad idea. Back in the day when we closed our factories, our manufacturing plants, got rid of the union workers and the better paying jobs and sent them all overseas. I believe that’s what most middle-class people argued at the time. Now that it is hurting the bottom line of corporations it’s a problem. But when they pulled those jobs away from hard-working American people and put more money in the corporations pocket it didn’t seem to be a problem. Sometimes in this world karma takes a while to circle back and get you, unfortunately it hurts everyone. That seems to be a really hard lesson that took really too long to figure out.

Wonderful comment. "Globalism" has been one of the most cynical, destructive, anti social and soul destroying acts of the last 40 years. It has destroyed millions of working communities throughout the Western World.
As you stated, it was based solely on greed, and those responsible WILL NEVER have to pay the price for what they have done.
The corporations "went for the bottom line", bought off our governments and drove us into the ground. The bubble of endless credit and fanatical consumerism has been burst - but our Governments will refuse to admit this as long as they are owned by global banks and corporations.
This issue affects not only The United States, but dozens of western countries where a living wage is all but impossible to obtain for tens of millions of workers.
We have returned to the early 20th Century culture of "the working poor".
There are now 100 MILLION middle class Chinese citizens, and they are no longer interested in working for starvation wages.
The Covid-19 Pandemic has shown the world just how fragile, vulnerable and ill conceived is the idea of a vast, wasteful, global shipping and trucking "just in time" system.
All of this was to keep wages as low as possible, goods as cheap as possible, and profits as EXORBITANTLY HIGH as possible.
This system is now totally broken and the CORRUPT, CYNICAL, USELESS caliper of politicians that we now have throughout the Western World are both totally uninterested and incapable of rectifying any of it.
