A strange and unique movie. Very intriguing and suspenseful, but lovely all the same. Lesson learnt,we should always be careful what we ask for.God is still the prayer answering God. He knows the beginning from the end.

i am in the middle of the movie.....i like it....however i am strained from the church, because i have my own prayers to my Goddess....but i like the morality in the core of the church...and this movie

When at the dinner table early in the movie, the wife/mom said the prayer. The husband, who is the head of the family, should have said the prayer. Right off the bat, I have to question the writer/producer's knowledge of Christian teaching.

While this movie makes a good point about trusting God rather than expecting life to go as we think it should, still the lack of real purpose is the same at the end as at the beginning. No intimacy with God or real understanding of what His will is.
Well, she was reading her Bible for answers and going to church and listening to the sermons and praying so she will get there I believe. It's a journey.

I find that sad since God has clarified that we must die to self in order to be raised with Christ, enabled to live a new life. This is how He describes being "born again", regenerated, being given a new heart, led by the Spirit. Our own efforts get us nowhere. We cannot achieve the things of God this way. These are called "dead works"! (Romans chapters 6-8, Ezekiel 36:25-27, Hebrews 6:1)
From the Lord's Prayer: To thy be the Kingdom (riches) Power (His will) and the Glory (fame recognition)... Those things belong to God.. if you ask for money, to get your way, of notoriety, God will turn a deaf ear.. Those belong to God, they are not yours to ask for.. Amen..

Amanda, The aren't exactly the same. This one is the final edit for the DVD and distribution and to allow for the sequel and is 101 min long. The other version (at 114 min) is the directors cut with a different ending 🤔 It has a couple more scenes including an additional one for me 😎
May be the message was ment to be spiritual, but the angle of the plot, the details in the script and the acting is just bad. The best part is her prayer in the end.
These are people who don't worship the Hollywood demons and are people who love the Lord and want to get the message out. Many churches have started film companies and are trying to provide good clean movies that also make people think about God...except those who criticize others but do nothing for the Kingdom themselves. 😐
The film can be funny and all, but what it says about prayer is misleading and far from the truth. God is not here to serve us, nor to answer our selfish prayers and then give us explanations to why they weren’t answered. He is the Sovereign One, He does as He pleases!
You're seeing things. Where is this mysterious lotus flower? That's not an upside-down cross on his vestments. And the triangle thing is the symbol of the Trinity-- Father Son and Holy Ghost. You see how it's intertwined with the triangle going through it?

I've seen better acting by amateurs which doesn't say a lot for the ones in this film. How anyone could make it through this piece of junk is hard to fathom.
