It probably wont be mentioned next chapter, simply because there might be the possibility that you only played pacifist. But, there might be some sort of new dialogue if you did handle the berdly fight voilently, suggesting that his arm did heal. I dont know tho!
And just imagine the pain at later chapters when earlier ends need to stay in the new ones, it could be that every player can have a almost different ending depending on one decision they made
The fact there’s only going to be ONE ending in this game makes me terrified to see what the other potential routes will be like only to end up with the same ending…
Just to clarify The only fight that matters is actually the Queen fight The other fights don’t matter And also small note I’m pretty sure that it also matters when you get the revive dust Since Susie gives it to berdly (I’m not actually sure I just guess over how I think it went when Susie kneels down down to berdly since I think she gives him the revive dust heal him up) Also I’m pretty sure his arm just broke and will probably get back to normal when it’s healed (Hopefully)
Are you sure? Everywhere I read online was saying all 3 fights, so I figured I didn't need to restart my neutral run and test it myself wait, revive dust and Berdly? What's this about?
@@GaroShadowscale Do you know about the revive dust that you get during the acid river adventure with ralsei? I tend to play Deltarune situationally tbh As in I attack if it's the more optimal route, spare if it's more optimal. For example attacking the Queens acid barrier in in her fight makes go by quicker
I believe because of this berdly will be in the hospital. No matter what he will be in the hospital. In the nice rout he's just sick or something. In the other he's checking out his arm. In the last he's in a coma.
In 3rd chapter if you choose the snowgrave route, nothing would change but if you did any other thing berdly will get into an accident and die anyways because your actions doesn't matter
Ah that's interesting! Honestly I am not a big fan of Berdly. But I do like the possible scenarios surrounding him. Even though he thought it was a dream if he is fine during pacifist, I have a distinct feeling that he will realize it's no dream. As far as his arm healing goes on a neutral run... If he doesn't get it properly treated, it could heal but in a wrong way. But it's also just as likely that it could heal just fine. Or that in a pacifist run, his arm could get injured just not by our hand. Or the possibility he could die even if we didn't do Snowgrave could happen. Now even with potential changes, I'm not too worried about the overall only ending the game has. I know a visual novel that has multiple endings, but a lot of the middle can be completely different. Especially how each player might take a different way through. But aside from three endings, two ending the game without much explanation, and one where you have to act a different way no matter what in the updated release, the only real differences surrounding a couple of the endings is the personality of your love interest and maybe the first thing she brings up when you apologize to her. Otherwise, the endings are pretty similar! Taking into account the only ending here, maybe the end goal is the same. But it could acknowledge any changes a player could have made.
Healthy berdly = pacifist route Damaged berdly = neutral route Ded berdly =snow grave/Tgenocide I love how berdly is an indicator for the ending your on route to getting
I haven’t played in a while but a good explanation of why Birdly’s arm does recover when you get back to the light world is maybe he wasn’t healed in the dark world after injuring it
Calling it now, if you do snowgrave or paralyze his arm then he'll just have an extra line of dialog in chapter 3 where he'll say he was so exhausted he slept the night at the library or he just shook his arm around to get the blood flow back (happens if you sleep on your arm wrong, yes it's terrifying)
It's going to be wild seeing all the permutations that are going to be there chapter to chapter. Something like 700+ possible combinations for chapter 7 on just eggs alone
Your honor I didn't break his arm, he unplugged that wire from his face on his own, it wasn't my fault it led to him paralyzing his arm and I "totally" didn't fight him before, YOU CAN'T PROVE ANYTHING!
Ah thaaaaaaaaaats how you don't injure birdley's arm! I never understood it because my will to actually attack in battles that would presumably not have any consequences was too strong.
the take I believe in on the discussion if your choices matter is that the ending is the same, just the way you get there will differ maybe there's like, a secret addition to the ending if you do the weird route, but it's very much possible there isnt
Or... The only thing that changes is the immediate outcome, in one he is awake, in another he is asleep and in the last one he fell asleep on his arm and just lost feeling in it for few minutes, happens to me all the time when i sleep weirdly
Imagine if theres a moment, where berdly will need to use his other arm AND wont be able to, resulting something bad. (I just remembered about jojo scene, where jotaro shot his ear and his stand caught it, but he became deaf by 1 ear. After some chapters, he couldnt save someone because of that)
Fun fact. Right now, chapter 5 is under development for the full game. (For anyone who wants to know where I got this information, it's on the Undertale 9th anniversary page)
i feel like the only reason why berdly's arm is hurt in the light world is because a lightner hurt berdly instead of a darkener, which one is "real" and one isnt "real"
Maybe by the whole your actions dont matter thingie they may mean Kris, so when Noel freezes to kill, her choices actually matter Prolly not this but it’s a fun thought
Damn Toby fox went through a lot to make this game good I really need to find a time to play it I have played undertale but just small bits of it from friends so I need to play through it as well NOMIES
My theory is that the injured arm isn’t permanent - it will stay that way in the light world, but if he goes to the dark world and gets healed, it will function as normal when he returns.
I dont think it will affect the story, deltarunes main theme is “Your choices dont matter” for example, no matter whT ending you get in chapter 1, the chapter 2 story remains the same
But what’s really weird about this is that the general message of Deltarune is the opposite of Undertale. We’re told immediately that our choices will always lead to the same end

It probably won’t heal or maybe a very late chapter?

He's obviously going to drink starfish DNA and become a starfish and growing a new arm
Didn't I make this theory on a previous short?
I think that it’ll matter, but depending on which route you take on the next chapter
İ love how hard it is going to be for Toby to do all of this possibilities
And just imagine the pain at later chapters when earlier ends need to stay in the new ones, it could be that every player can have a almost different ending depending on one decision they made

Hey, bird brain time to lose every nerve and function in your arm
the fact that Birdly is the only main Characters who don't have Enough Plot armor, so he can be killed.
it would be extremely funny if we had a weird route for every chapter so theres 64 possible combinations of weird routes
Even which save file you pick has a different item in a drawer which means save files affect gameplay
Fewer classmates means smaller class sizes. I could do without the little putz, so its fine.
