@@fvkthsstm8524 i'm not, and Venom Black Metal album was from '82, and my dad was at Black Sabbath Concert 14th january 1974 in Amsterdam which was not Black Metal though. But the Norwegian metalheads definitely paid a lot of tribute to black metal and made it as it is today.

It's crazy how well-off early black metal pioneers were. Apartments, money from parents to start businesses and studio time, nice parts of nice towns, rehearsal space etc.. lol. Punk was started by people living in gutters.

Yo Boris, Thank you for doing this video. I've always wanted to visit Bergen Norway, It's my families heritage. I was born and raised in Northern California but always wonder what my true heritage is. My ancestors that came from Norway was given the last name Bergen because that was where they migrated from so I'm curious as to what my true last name would have been or if I have lineage over there. But I think you're fucking bad ass and I like your videos so thank you.
I looked up my last name, Thoresen, and read some things about people from Bergen. I figure it's a big place, perhaps my great, great grandfather split out of Bergen before heading to the UP of Michigan. Looks like a beautiful place.

Families having intergenerational wealth/homes is a normal thing. IT's only in the US where people are convinced their children should pay to a landlord and be kicked out at 18 because it'll "make them a man". There is merit in looking at a comfortable life and being able to see that it is somewhat soul-crushing in some aspects.
