Just in case people don’t know this if you are using this app in davinci resolve it will not be the pro version so you’ll notice features missing. In Final Cut Pro and premiere you’ll have the pro version with all the features.

I have a huge problem with shots that contain sunlight amongst shots that don't contain sunlight. So seeing this video at this moment is like a miracle. So I would be so very very happy to use it for DaVinci.

Downloaded the filmmaker version of this a week ago i did have issues with contacting support due to new system they use but resolved it in the end ,,def recommend the filmmaker version so much stuff on there including the looks hack to get the same looks as favourite films

Do you know if you are able to apply Cinema Grade to an adjustment layer so I can protect my original clips? Or does it have to be applied directly to the clips? I'm a beginner to color grading but I always thought it was advantageous to apply it to an adjustment layer to keep your original clips untouched (I might be completely wrong lol). Great review/explanation of the plug in! I'm on the fence about it but slowly getting convinced lol.
@@thej762000 Hi Boise! Thank you for the advice! I think I will just have to get used to applying it directly to the clips like you said. I'm totally brand new to this and it's still pretty overwhelming at times but CG has helped tremendously!

The pin is for "pinning" the panel open so it doesn't collapse or disappear. Thank you for the kind well wishes 🙏🏼

Hey Denver! I was just wondering whether we have limited access to the academy or we can actually refer to it for a lifetime? I am a total beginner and was thinking of purchasing the Filmmaker option (it does include other bonuses and add-ons, right?). Also, does the software works for Mac M1 users?

I'm a lifetime. I purchased the software back before it was available to PC. I can tell you from experience that lifetime doesn't mean what you're thinking. Add-ons aren't included and any new bells and whistles added will need to be purchased. Lifetime just means you own the product you purchase and if you want more or they create more, you'll be asked to pay for it.

Have windows downloaded cinema grade. And installed it and boom its no where to be found I don't see it on premier how do we put it in effects?
Go into effects and in the search box, type in "Cinema" - you should see it in the results. It's in Video Effects.

Did not work for me at all. Does not show my video in cinema grade app. They sent me instructions for new code key but still nothing.
Cinema Grade has some really nice ideas and I like the intuitive approach. The stability, the lag and errors on the other hand make it an absolutely frustrating experience to work with. I want it to work so bad but it can't handle even small projects like a music video. So sad.

you can't even have more than 11 shots before the can't scroll through them and make corrections on the base correction page... BECAUSE THERE'S NO SCROLL WHEEL
I cant get the click option. I inky have the option to drag up and down and not click on specific parts of my video
its somtimes due to what page your on if using Davinci resolve as sometimes the tutorial shows color page other times it edit page sometimes it editing in ColorGrade itself ,,i had that issue till i watched the video again and realised

Hello Denver, i'm interested and bought the cinema grade on windows, but having problems when activating it, it says "activation failed. programs runs inside the virtual machine or MS HyperVisor is active". i tried turning off hypervisor but still cant activate it. Please anyone help, already report this issue to the support team and they not yet reply, please help. currently on windows 11

program runs inside the virtual machine or MS Hypervisor is active. there is an error but no hypervisor other any software is loaded on my windows it is surprising please solve this problem I have written many mails no response or I want to get my money back please reply

So, do you use CG for your video clips 1st, then load then into your editing software and compose your video?
You apply Cinema Grade as an effect to your clips in your sequence and then launch the Cinema Grade editor.
The lag of this software defies all my expectations lol.

I mean this does the exact same thing the original panel does but I assume designed to be simplified for people who can't operate the original layout. The original layout offers substantially more creativity and when I "apply" this to any clip that has a color space transform, as literally all of them do, it blows out badly.
I purchased Cinema Grade and can't get it to work on my Windows computer. Been trying for 5 months with no luck. So dissatisfied and frustrated.
I had the same problem after purchasing and installing the add-on today. The app would not accept my authorization code, so I wasted an afternoon. I found there are other individuals who experienced the same thing using Windows. There is nothing at Cinema Grade's website regarding the problem. They are currently accepting purchases when there seems to be a common error without an available solution.
I bought the license for this two days ago, for Windows 10, and I´m using premeire. I´ve activated it, but every change I make in it does not apply on premiere. I can´t color grade multiple clips, I can´t view “match shots” and other tabs related to multiple clips. I´ve contacted support but no reply. I hope this is legit and I get help or a refund. 😔

Great app but lags on my Dell XPS 15 with i7 and 32 ram when I hit apply. Can't really use it easily that way. Since it was only the trial version I won't be buying it...

@@colorgradingcentral I clicked apply and i see it on the separate window on cinema grade. But when I go back to my adobe premier, I still see the same color. Been searching every where. All I see are tutorial for mac.

@@eastbayjay well do you see? then please try a clip with many sequences longer than 40 minutes, then you will see how the cinema works in rosetta on a m1 macbook. keeps crashing and that's what really sucks! Instead of working on making it M1 compatible they are releasing a Windows app
@@MrCezaryo Denver explained what is going on with FCP. When Apple phased out FxPlug 3 in favor of FxPlug 4 on Apple silicon hardware on FCP they did away with many of the functions to make Cinema Grade work. Other developers have been fine and still have some of the basic functions to make their plugins work. We unfortunately with you on FCP were not so lucky. So we have been working with Apple for months (we are lower on their list of priorities, but they care a lot) we report issues, they track those issues and slowly we have been seeing progress being made on correcting or adding the new FxPlug functions back in. Sometimes these solutions work, other times they don't. We exchange email on almost a daily basis and things are now finally looking promising as the latest fix from Apple seems to have solved the problem and we are now seeing Cinema Grade run nativeely in FCP

just double click the DMG package after dowloaded then follow the quick tutorial videos they show how to open it with your editor as long as its Davinci , premier pro or FCP x

Sadly this channel contains so much promotional material (self and otherwise) that it really hurts the overall look for it.
I had a same story, just lke you. Heard about it and when I wanted to buy, it was Mac only. Today I wanted to buy the Mac version, I been happy that finally I have a Mac and I realized on my Apple MacBook, there is NOW a Windows version. So I bought instantly the Win version and didn't bougt the Apple one, because of myconvenience in Windows. But the Installer doesn't seem to work to me. So I have it and I don't have it: since I cannot use it. Epic fail.

I finally figured it out but now the only thing is that I always have to do the activation everytime I open the software in Adobe
The plugin seems to be amazing, I have an issue for which I can't find solutions, when the interface pops up, none of my videos ar visible. I have installed it on two PC with the same result. Is anyone experiencing the same problem?

It seems good from just looking at it but i am using Davinci anyway and like more detailed comtrol.

Is anyone having a problem with the preview window being brighter and slightly different to the project window.. you get the colour perfect.. click apply, look at the project and it’s just…..DIFFERENT! Frustrating.

That Cinema Grade Co is scam. They send me no activ. Code and dude replies me with a 5000 Dollar wasted cam instead of handling the problem!
Cinema Grade pricing is waaaay off. Far too cheap. No really, professionals might think it's a gimmick tool for that low price.
It's not cheap mate. It doesn't do anything special other then simplify a work panel for those who can't learn to operate the original. So far I'm unimpressed.

It was good at the start but the same as every single product out there that when it’s making money no one cares about the support anymore, I had a bunch of questions but no one to reach.

First off I like to say I have your courses Justus and I'm loving them. However, I purchased Cinema Grade Filmmaker and I haven't gotten it to work yet. I reached out to the name and email that came with my receipt, but so far nothing. It's very frustrating and I wish that someone would contact me so that I could start enjoying the product (If it really works). So if you're seeing this.. PLEASE HELP!!!!

pssshhhh... You know Resolve is free? You can't do what you want in premiere... export the video, put it into Resolve...use shot cut detection, and you immediately have a more functionality than this software for literally ZERO dollars
