Great seeing you slowly getting the shop cleaned up and better organized. It takes time now, hopefully you'll save more by not hunting for what you need.
By the looks of the little bit of weld I wonder if they were just trying it to see if it wrapped and maybe you should try it before you weld them permanently, just a thought. I think it's going to wrap up with hay only because there's nothing stopping it from wrapping in long ropey hay it will work good in short stuff I think
Hi Wes. I had a teacher at Vermont Tech back in 04 who is a really outstanding veterinarian/member of the ag community up here. His name is Dr. Cal Blessing. He grew up on a daily farm in New Jersey. I am curious to find out whether you hayed the land he grew up on. Thanks for the vids and always having the courage to do farm the way and what you do.
O yes it always pays to have a backup haybine if your into the hay business We run 1400 acres with 2 JD 946, 1 JD 935, 1 JD 930 an a few new hollands in their to but its nice to have a backup even if u always carry a huge inventory of parts!
+Aps Ofny It was struck by lightening. Most likely frying the electronic controls. He did a vid about it and commented on what the problem most likely was.
gehl parts are really expensive after they quit making ag equipment. you made a good investment in the 2303. that tractor will wear out the new header before you have any major problems with it.
Is the gap in the central opening wider with this new header than with the original head? It looks to me that you will be running on the edge of the swath with wheels - which may not matter of course but might make rowing up the crop more difficult.
I don't think I would have left the dealer without those hyd. fittings unless they dropped the price enough to buy new ones. I forsee more work on the cross auger.
Everything is coming together , Wes. Looks like it will be a awesome year for you. I see you have the skid steer back. What was done to it to fix the lightning issues?
Wes why don't you letter up some of the machines like the wind rower get a nice pandy farms logo on them with your number good advertising. I get it though if somebody doesn't like u it makes it easier for them to target you and I know you've had issues in the past. Love the new cutter good luck with it
Hey Wes, if you don't mind sharing, what do you average per ton for mulch hay up there? We been in the horse hay business for 25 years and it's been good to us. Naturally there's ups and downs. We've been real dry this spring in NC and it looks like the La Niña change is going to shift bringing a lot of moisture to eastern US this summer. Good luck to you sir. Enjoy the videos!
John Kyle appears to be a troll. I was just curious. There is no mulch hay market to speak of where we are and I'm sure not going to haul it up north. I'm smart enough to know its not going to be as much per ton as good hay is. So if he thinks I was trying to move in on a market that's funny as hell. John Kyle, do the world a favor and pull your bottom lip over your head and swallow!
I thought the rollers (hay conditioner) were the cat's ass for speeding up hay drying and minimizing leaf loss when turning it over. I can see it not being a problem during a dry spell, but in a rainy summer, every day between showers counts.
....would be a shame bending that roller while welding. Unless the roller have to spin back-ward, that side of L-shape is not the stressed one. The good side has plenty of welds to hold hard. good-luck ;)
The injection timing is advanced, not retarded, and the reasoning behind it is when the injector pops at around 15 degrees before TDC the fuel travels down and spreads to meet the bowl of the piston as the piston rises, and finally ignites right as the crank rolls past TDC. If it were to inject on or just after TDC, the fuel would be chasing the piston down, cylinder ignition pressure would be WAY down, and would cause the Injection pump to have to supply an insane amount of fuel to run.
+Keith Jeasser I used a generic number because I do not know the make and model of the engine in the video. 15, 18 makes no difference for the purpose of explaining the principal.
+UncleBubbles94 It makes a serious amount off difference..maybe not to an armchair mechanic like you, but to the rest of us that actually know what we are talking about..somehow I doubt you would get far in our circle
would propane mixing with air in the intake manifold work to let the diesel burn hotter and cleaner? then the pump can be set so it is cheaper on the diesel :)
+Fredrick Mechanical no it wouldn't, diesel has a higher flashpoint than propane that is the stupidest thing I have ever read..the propane would ignite before the diesel causing pre ignition and blowing the Pistons clean through the head...holy shit you can't be serious 😱😱
mig is not a place for doing repair, fabricating with new materials only, repairs are to be done with stick rod only. there is a place and tool and machine for each job, i see people using mig, and cheap box store mig on everything, why, any one can lay a bead with a mig, don't mean its going to hold though
Great seeing you slowly getting the shop cleaned up and better organized. It takes time now, hopefully you'll save more by not hunting for what you need.
If you keep that old head, it'll keep you moving just in case something (inevitably) breaks! Good video.
Hello Ryan.
Greetings from Germany :-)
+How Farms Work That's a real possibility.
I ate today, so thank you for being a farmer and everything you do
Looks like the skid steer is back running once more.
Love seein progress.. always nice to see things get better and better in a world were things always get worse
The lugs aren't real deep on them new tires Wes. I hope you don't get into a soft spot in a field. Rocking the new hat!
I really like that case too. not the fastest machine but old reliable you can count on.
I hope you have a very successful year wes 👌🏽 it's looking great so far 😊
What did they find wrong with your John Deere 322 skid steer
if your anything like me once you organize it you won't find anything lol. good luck with all new equipment. keep up the great videos.
Too bad you were not able to pick up the new engine for the Caterpillar doozer this spring. I would have loved to see that engine swap.

+Scania1982 you got Dozer fever

You also have the little 3 PT mower too you could use.
glad to see the skidsteer back in action. what ended up being the problem?
+Aps Ofny
It was struck by lightening. Most likely frying the electronic controls. He did a vid about it and commented on what the problem most likely was.
New hat looks great, Wes!

looks like you got a new hood for your truck also
do a video of all the equipment on your farm
I don't think I would have left the dealer without those hyd. fittings unless they dropped the price enough to buy new ones. I forsee more work on the cross auger.
Hi Wes you never told us what they found out was broken on the skid steer. How about a update.
Everything is coming together
, Wes. Looks like it will be a awesome year for you. I see you have the skid steer back. What was done to it to fix the lightning issues?
I like your sense of humor
Looks like you got yourself a new hat.
Was that the skid steer you were using? I must have missed a video on its return.
You should look into a pottiger triple mower since you don't need the conditioner
63 impala 2 dr looked like he had his stuff organized
Wesley, Is that the head you went out west to get? The same time you saw 1963Impala2dr?
If the hay dries fast enough with the new header will you be taking the conditioner off the John Deere?
Wes, can you get anything out of the old header if you wanted to sell it? Whoever tells you to shut up is not a real fan.
That's what it is. I thought it seemed like a familiar color. LOL!
please Wes, make a video on that big mower
LIKING THE NEW HAT THERE MY MAN LOOKS A BIT SMALLER THAN YOUR OLD ONE THOUGH, UNLESS YOUR HEAD IS GETTING BIGGER..
The skid steer just sounds so mean lol.
what about the white truck in the shop. is that the mack??
Just like the big pack I can't wait to see that thing cut...
Should of waited till the end to ask that question haha
Are you going to paint the tractor yellow to match the header you just got for it.
see you got the la8000 nose or whatever that truck is. you going to do a video of it or not
Are you still running the new John Deere mower that you brought?
i lol so hard everytime you mention the NOrower hahaha priceless, messicks must cringe so bad everytime they hear that word....
new hood for the Ole truck.
Why dont you have a triple mower in stead of a windrower?
Wes why don't you letter up some of the machines like the wind rower get a nice pandy farms logo on them with your number good advertising. I get it though if somebody doesn't like u it makes it easier for them to target you and I know you've had issues in the past. Love the new cutter good luck with it
What was the cost to get the skid fixed?
when did you get your skid steer back
Been looking for a used 13 foot head for my 80 60 if you hear of one keep me in mind please
how many hours are on that case mower?
I never could figure out the logic of "more fuel makes the exhaust cleaner"
did u get your skid steer fixed?
hope to see a KRONE BIG M in your yard one day!
what would he want one a those stupid donkeys a yokes for?
Whit this header you can mow also vaster. Good luck white it

Funny ending.

Are the hats for sale yet?

+john kyle yea how is that ?
+john kyle it's easy, if Wes does mind sharing he just won't reply.

Why would you want to condition mulch hay?
+Keith Jeasser just so it dries faster.
+Bruno Sterckeman Mulch hay doesn't need to dry ...don't you watch any of the videos?
....would be a shame bending that roller while welding. Unless the roller have to spin back-ward, that side of L-shape is not the stressed one. The good side has plenty of welds to hold hard.
good-luck ;)
WHAT IS THE BLUE GRAGE 4
what's the flux bird-shit welds?
+Adam Budai I dont get it?
Let's see the lawn mower.
New hat Wes?

15deg before tdc? More like 18deg considering the compression ratio of this engine.

I thought you HATED the case
would propane mixing with air in the intake manifold work to let the diesel burn hotter and cleaner? then the pump can be set so it is cheaper on the diesel :)
Propane? How would you ignite it?
+Keith Jeasser damn your dumb!
+Fredrick Mechanical no it wouldn't, diesel has a higher flashpoint than propane that is the stupidest thing I have ever read..the propane would ignite before the diesel causing pre ignition and blowing the Pistons clean through the head...holy shit you can't be serious 😱😱
+Gene Sederlin You don't even know the difference between "your" and "you're". Fuuuuuck offffff you sad cheerleading weirdo hahahahahahah.
+Keith Jeasser damn your dumb pandy
HB part2
still have johndeer windrower
i'd keep the old header for spare parts
+chet sparks dont think anything on old one is worth keeping it would all need rebuilt to use anymore anyway not worth it
+peterbiltxr379 i meant take all the still workable parts off ie: sprockets chains motors hoses couplers etc
Yee Haw
