"We're gonna keep things really really simple" I love how you present this stuff because I was unaware of triads in this capacity until this video. Patreon supporter!
What a great video - and what a lot of stuff to take in for a triad-novice. The overview explained in a very clear way some of the issues that have baffled me in my over fifty years of strumming. I have a strong feeling that these exercises are going to bring my playing to a level it should have reached years ago. So thanks to TH-cam for making lessons like these accessible and not the least to you Marco for being such a good teacher.
In 5 years of searching, hands down best triad lesson found, by a long shot. If you hadn’t you should continue this. Extremely well done, along with fun practice regiment baked right into the lesson. Subscribed.
This is an awesome set of exercises. I say set because I deeeeeeffinitely gotta take this in slowly. But you've definitely shown the value of the exercise and the fretboard mastery that will come once I get to a comfortable level with these exercises.
YT is full of triad tutorials. I would love to see a video what beautiful things you can do in a musical context with using the triads all over the fretboard. I can imagine you can combine chord progressions and soloing in an amazing way. But im missing a tutorial for that
This is where I am in starting triads. I made it to the end. I know this is going to take some time. Thank you for your explanation as the more information I can find and put to use I think will ultimately help me learn this.
Thanks for sharing, is their a book you can recommend, what if u did a video, on 2nd in version for c major with the fingering diagram 😊 yep you know what im getting at.
Hello bro, love your lessons, it's very helpful. Kindly drop a lesson on all chords inversion, it will help a lot for every guitar enthusiasts. Love from Ulubaripara, North East India.👍
Well Marco this really bypasses the Cage System you don't even need it? Your chord chemistry method, is a great explanation. The CS is more for scales. Tnx...
Hello Marco, I am a big fan of you from India, kindly arrange the triad in all chords that will be more helpful or if you have book on that please send me a pdf copy 😊
Marco, a superb video! I and I think others would like to see a follow-up or Part 2 video covering the best finger selections/actions for the right hand. So, what fingers for ADG, DGB and GBE string-formed Triads as a starting point? It'd help reduce chord playing down to their basic and isolated 1-3-5 strings.
I used to think Chinese organised crime syndicates were terrifying and complex!!!! ...The more I uncover about the guitar and music theory the more magical it becomes! Thanks to you Marco, this exercise is really helping me dominate the fretboard and ease any fear about transnational, multigenerational dark forces. 😌 ✌🏼❤🎸
Music is wonderful. I've only been self taught for under 2 yrs, and I'm beginning to realize how important patience is when learning theory/building muscle memory. It really just comes to you the longer you incorporate concepts into your playing!
Hi Marco, Hope you are doing well. Can you make a lesson on transcribing, for reference may be a musical piece or a song . Thank You Love from India ❤️
So. Many. Shapes! Unfortunately this difficulty is an artifact of standard tuning, with this vexing major third interval between the G and B strings. In an all-fourths tuning, triads become dead simple all over the fretboard, because the shapes never change across string sets. Unfortunately I have too much time (and muscle memory) invested in learning the standard tuning fretboard and scales, and I'm not sure I could switch (as a casual player).
May be a bit of an odd question for the group here but, in what way are these most beneficial? As chords or as notes for melody? Does this open the door arpeggios or am I at info overload and mixing concepts up
In soloing, it helps you to end your solos on the third or root. In chord building, it helps you play rythm guitar with snippets of chords that are easy on the hands as opposed to full blown barred chords and once you combine this knowledge with the cage system plaing the same melody or chord all over the fretboard and finding the patterns with ease is the ultimate reward.
Marco , sorry to leave you a message on here but I didn’t know how else to do it. The other day I ask you about the soundproof piece of foam you had on the wall a d you said it works good , is that all I need to do is place a few in different spots around the wall ? I’m asking because I live in an apartment and when I plug in I get complaints. It’s only the lady behind me so I thought maybe those would help me
Hi Ben. I am not sure to be honest. I use the foam to reduce the echo in the room and not for soundproof so I am not sure if it works for your situation. Good luck Ben.
Not only did I make it to the end of the video but the last 60 seconds was the best of me. "It will take months to master these triads". Honesty something like 99% of students do not want to hear. As Hermann Hesse said in Steppenwolf ... "All hope abandon, ye who enter here".
Hey Marco, i‘ll follow your TH-cam channel since 3 weeks or so! First of all i really love your content and learned so much the past weeks! 🤩 I have a really special request! Is it possible to finish the Spanish song Malaguena by Michael Lucarelli (part 5# is about 2 years old) I would love to finish this one! Cheers, Toni
Really? I understand triads and this is confusing explanation. He shouldn’t even mention minors yet, just let them understand the major first. It also makes more sense when you explain them from the 6 th string down from a bar chord.

Thank you! This is just what I needed. You laid this out perfectly! The hard part is committing it to absolute memory. Practice, Practice, Practice...
Thanks for this exercise. I started dabbling in triads, but lacked a proper exercise. This one makes a lot sense and can be musical
Fantastic triad tutorial!! Thank you sir
Crazy how valuable this information is just as crazy it available for no cost!
Top man 👍🏼
This is an awesome set of exercises. I say set because I deeeeeeffinitely gotta take this in slowly. But you've definitely shown the value of the exercise and the fretboard mastery that will come once I get to a comfortable level with these exercises.
The way you teach theory makes it easy to understand. I’m able to apply every lesson and actually make good music. Thank you!!

Tks Marco. It’s really a better way to study. I am only playing triads not learning, now I think it’s going to change. 😊
This is a great one Marco, thank you. Really helped me understand triads, I liked the ultimate level at the end.
Thank you Marco. That was a AHA moment !
Downloaded a chart from Etsy for Major, Minor, Diminshed and Augmented Triads. Should be super helpful.
This should be required watching for all guitar players.
