Holy Cow, you are a budget saver and a guardian of healthy lives - this is an inexpensive solution I have needed for YEARS! BLESS YOU, BLESS YOU, BLESS YOU! 😇💋
You have time to smear the glue before it dries or do the perimeter and X without smearing or do you actually glue it down? It's funny that I saw your comment because I had the same idea?
Rug PADS are easily available at rug stores for this purpose , thanks for not harming the bee but your process is ok on inexpensive machine made rugs but not on more expensive fine rugs as it may not come off easily if need be and depreciates value of the rug
Love your video and your style. Question, would you suggest using clear silicone for a transparent floor mat for tile floor?, you know, it's the ones you use in your office so the wheels from your chair don't scratch the floor. The package label said it would not slip on tile floor, but not true. OR, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
I tried using clear silicone in a cross pattern and around the edge, let dry completely BUT after a few days the shape of the cross started to show through the rug and look terrible! I ended up taking it off . UNTILL I saw the end of your video lol works well now and No signs of the cross?
My problem rug's on carpet but going to give this a go. Maybe just like, a butt-load of silicone all over to give extra grip. 🤨 Good job on the bee. But also - wasps are incredibly important. They feed all sorts of nasty insects to their young - we'd be overrun with pests without them. They're also pollinators - we'd have no figs (or fig netwons) without them. And they hoover up dead insects, carrion and all sort of trash; like a cleaning service. We need them, too. TLDR: Bee nice to wasps. 😁
@@Princess-nw8tc it's true, all of these rug people are are lgbtq+. I actually dumped this guy for another rugged guy th-cam.com/video/TTPLOYfAek0/w-d-xo.html. I did this just last night. So if you're still interested, he's all yours.
Wasps are fine if you leave them alone. Just like all species when they feel threatened they may defend their homes. Not a reason to kill them. You werent pushing the rug like you did in the beginning you were just tapping on it. Not really the same thing
I would not recommend doing this. I saw this video and tried it for myself. We have a dog that runs around and when he runs and stops hard on the rug, it still slides. The dried silicone rubs against our hardwood floor at a high velocity and gets silicone flakes everywhere. I'm now in the agonizing process of peeling it all off the bottom of the rug. I would recommend just getting one of the non-slip pads from Walmart and cutting it to size.
A 4 minute time wasting video with 30 seconds of content on it. Everyone, skip to the 1:40 mark to start getting any info. In fact.... you use silicone caulking on the back of the mat, smear it so it's flat, then let it dry. There, I just saved you 4 minutes.
@@alicewilson55 Nobody asked what you thought about it. Why should I tap for faster playback on each and every video I watch? Why don't the people who make the videos just skip all the chatter and get down to business?
Awesome! I just put LVP all over my home and the area rugs are a death trap indeed!!! This is a cost effective way to save lives. I'm subscribing!

Make sure you use acrylic caulk instead of silicone caulk so it won't leave sticky residue on hardwood.
Cringing at either on hardwood flooring when you can just use double sided tape.
@@danielsmit11 Double sided tape doesn’t work and it leaves a sticky residue on hardwood flooring..
@@danielsmit11great idea, if you never mop or hover your floors
@@rainydaydiva6320 lol. And you think caulk isn't going to leave a very messy residue?
put the rug on the bare floor then lay the wood floor around it
Thank you for sharing this hack really works !! and you saved the honey bee too. P.S. nice garage tool bench area .
Hii can i use it to Keep Rugs from Moving on Carpet ???
Super thanks!!! That's what I'm thinking too. Glad I found your video and I'm sooo going to try this.
Don't bother. It doesn't work.
Thank you for saving the bee🤗♥️👍 I've been doing same, but with hot glue☺️

Rug pads don't work on my Saltillo tile. (Red clay tile from Mexico.)

Great idea. Thanking you from Ohio.
does it harm hardwood floors ? does it survive the washing machine ?
same question here as well
Seems like a mess on your floor if you get rid of the rug. Double sided tread tape is probably a better option

Velcro would probs work pretty good on carpet. Just put the grabby side on the rug, not the anchor side. Works on wood floors too.

Does it work on carpet as well thank you
can you try n let me know pls
Did either of you find out?

I thought you were gonna glue it to the floor
Put some on your cap to stop it sliding round your head 😂

This is going to ruin hardwood flooring.
