Nice , you can get the same effect of using a blow dryer set at medium heat. With out adding any moisture to the carpet.

I tried the iron it worked great, I'll try a blow dryer next time TY for an extra option ☺ ☺

Blow dryer doesn't work anywhere near as well. If it works at all. It's the weight and pressure of the iron that makes it effect. The heat is a smaller factor

All our area rugs are woven polypropylene. They are great when you have pets. If you have a steam mop, I have a Bissell, you can use it on the low setting to get the folds out. I remove the pad and go over the whole area rug as if I was vacuuming it. I don't mind getting down on my knees, it's getting up that's hard now that I'm older.

FYI, I use that carpet tape often on photo shoots and I always put blue paper tape down between the carpet tape and the floor because I've seen it rip up the finish off the floor. So if you think you might move your rug in time consider that.

So glad I found your video. We have just bought our dream home to retire toin a couple years and we are going to use it as a vacation home u til we retire. We have just bought a bunch of rugs for the various rooms and we have been working to get the bumps out. The runners we have in the bedroom are awful at the corners and I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how to get those edges to stay down so I do not breathy neck! I had not considered double sided tape!
As you will have had this down for a little while now and in a room that is one of the busiest in the house, can I ask how it is working for you? Also will it be harming the wooden floors underneath, leaving a nasty adhesive residue? Are you able to easily move the rug so you can wash the floors or is the rug stuck until it is time for a new one?
Thanks for any insight ou can share.

I have a gorg 9x12. I used it over wood floors for about a year. Sadly, it wasn't rolled, but folded/bagged and stored in extreme heat for 3yrs by someone who's GLADLY now out of my picture 🤭
Happily settling in and decorating my very own little apartment. I thought , oh my gosh! I can use that rug to cover the ugly wall2wall in my bedroom, but can't get the fold lines out to save my life. I've been seriously contemplating just stretching nailing it down to the subflooring. Maybe cute upholstery tacks. What the landlord doesn't know.... Right? 😅
I guess I should try some of your tips 1st.
