I remember playing with the cheap ass full rubber basket balls when I was younger...to play with a $20 Spalding ball that said “NBA” on it was a blessing back in the day.

Always use Wilson. Used to use Spalding but they would wear down too quick and get slippery

@Travis Nation I did use to prefer the Spalding tf-1000 bc the leather is sticky and thin but once I got used to the sponge like quality of the Wilson Evolution I definitely prefer that ball especially bc its softer off the glass and rim when shooting.

The SPALDING ball is hard because it’s meant to be played on the NBA hardwood. If you’ve never played on an NBA floor it has a hollow feel to it so the ball has to be super hard. SPALDING basketball played on any other surface then a NBA court feels terrible.
Interesting that you said that NBA courts are hollow. How does NBA hardwood helps or hinder your athletic capabilities?
@@DwyaneWadeCounty a lot of times, there is ice underneath the basketball court in nba arenas, so it makes sense why it would feel hollow. Also, I don't think NBA hardwood helps/hinders athletic capabilities
@@andrewkim2013 well, I jump higher and run faster indoor hardwood vs outdoor pavement. I think it's because indoor, the wood is not as hard as pavement, so you could push off of the wood stronger without shocking your body, like pavement does. Pavement is very unforgiving and it shocks your body when you run and jump on it.
Wilson Evolution is a really nice ball. It has a nice feel and a sweet bounce.

I recently switched from a Wilson Evo to a Nike Hyperelite, and all the guys I play ball with now only want to use the Nike as our game ball. Great grip and moisture resistance.

I’m using a Nike hyperelite as you see in the video, great ball overall, but it takes wear very hard. The swoosh and branding and stuff shows wear after the first 10 uses.

In college you can use any ball that is approved aka evo. However the ncaa "official" ball is always used in march madness.
Home team chooses ball in college which can give a school an advantage if they're used to a certain ball
In tournament play they use the ncaa ball to keep playing level fair

Moltem balls are the best in my opinion, I thought that it was going to be on the list...Also, when I was a boy I played with the Baden and I loved them.
I’m a French baller and I agree most of the molten balls are insanely good especially the feeling of it after the break time ‼️
The Baden Lexum elite has been my favorite for years. Everyone is obsessed the Wilson Evolution. The thing that bothers me about the Wilson Evo is they have an inconsistent bounce until they are broken in. I feel like the Baden is better than some of the balls listed here.

In my honest opinion the wilson Icon is a great option for people wanting to game competitively and for just fun
I'm also like you guys and have tried almost every basketball. I agree with most everything you guys say, except I don't really like the evo as it's too inconsistent (some are great, but some are slippery). A few more you should check out: The Rock (my favorite), Baden Elite (second favorite), and Spalding Precision (untested).

I personally take the Spaulding classic TF-1000 over the evo any day, I’m always surprised that I’m in the minority.
Spalding is maybe the most know for balls but spading balls are not the best.
I have the Spalding TF-1000 and it's absolutely awesome!

ThePJSampson check out the dominator ball from Nike, it’s pretty cheap and works well plus it lasts long. I’ve been getting it for years now

anyways, about basketballs, i've used the wilson evolution for about 3 years and wanted to give a change, but did not want to spend a $hit load of money, so i got the nike hyperelite like 2 months ago, and it really feels good. kinda similar to the evolution, but a little bit more bouncy. and the different texture works pretty good as well.
