Steve came up with so many innovative riffs. Hard to believe he was in his early twenties. This band overcame so many tragedies. Steve's passing. Rick's accident. The battles with alcohol by all members. But yet they stayed together till today. Still touring. Awesome band
Jamal, Def Lep was a harder rockin band before the drummer lost his arm. Check out the first video I saw called Bringing On The Heartache or Rock Rock Till You Drop from their album High?& Dry. Being a brittish band the songs I suggested were their first hits in America. Thank You MTV!!
Man I'm glad to see you getting back to music reactions. This is your bread and butter shall I say. It's when I first started checking you out was your music reactions.
My father loved your channel. Sadly, he passed away to cancer. I watch your videos, and it reminds me that he is still with me in spirit through music.
I just love Def Leppard they are an awesome group with a ton of excellent music i like "photograph" along with "rock of ages." They are just great rock songs from the past. Awesome music from an awesome era to grow up in. Rock on and peace out.
based on this comment, I went to look up ticket prices for shows near me. Nearest was Hershey PA and the prices are just....insane. Guess I remember why I stopped going to these. lol
@@pkleo73 yeah ticket prices are up there. I saw Def Leppard live only once, on the Hysteria tour back in June 1988 with Tesla opening. Tickets cost a staggering $27 CAD!!
Haven't been around for a while. I forgot how much I enjoy watching you discover these bands and different music. I rediscover them watching you discover them.
I am a big Def Leppard fan. Foolin' is on of my favorite Def Leppard songs. They still include it in their set list when they tour and they are still one of the best live bands around. These guys are pros who always deliver to their fans. Foolin' is from Pyromania which is probably my favorite album of theirs. My favorite cut off that album is Die Hard The Hunter which has a great instrumental section in it. One thing about Def Leppard is that their catalog is extensive and there are some wonderful cuts that were never released as singles.
This song was amazing in concert. I saw them perform it on the Hysteria Tour back when I was 17 years old. That song alone convinced me to buy their back catalog.
Now THIS is what Im talkin about!! LOVE DEF LEPPARD! Got to see them a few years back finally. Great show. The early albums are the best. Hysteria kicks ass too. This song is so epic though. glad you loved it! Do more or just the whole album in a row. Thnx man!
Jamel, the Def Leppard catalog is going to be a good deep dive for you. And actually, their last album, Diamond Star Halos, released in 2023 and its pretty darn good.
The album this is from, Pyromania, is before Rick Allen lost his arm - with that said - you're hearing a drum machine. Mutt Lange the producer programmed the drums on this album. Supposedly the cymbals may be real, though.
Ah yes, the good Def Leppard. Before Hysteria and everything after. This was so good. Saw them on the Hysteria tour. Great show. High N Dry probably one of my favorites.
It's hard to imagine how big they were back in that time. MTV was only two years old and they were on there every 15 minutes. This is basically all we listen to in 1983 I think I wore out three cassettes that summer. Then they went nuclear when Hysteria came out and Pour Some Sugar On Me went nuts.
I got to see them 3 x in Nashville TN, once before he lost his arm and twice afterwards. All were fantastic performance, thoroughly enjoyed every minute!😊
I'm 58 in a couple of months, I grew up in a time B4 cable and as a kid listening 2 Dr. Demento on Sunday nights, this is when MTV was really music television, heavy rotation on MTV with this album, which I have Pyromania, is a classic!!! Yes drummer lost his arm shortly after this!!!! Keep great music alive brother Jamal!!
I went to that concert too. They were co headlining, not a opener for journey. They switched every nite. It was def leppard who headlined that was awsome. They actually are doing the same thing plus adding cheap trick(in seattle) and some get heart boo not me and some places it's steve Miller band
I always enjoy your videos man. Keep rockin'! Yeah the 70s and 80s were the best era for music by far. And its always fun when we get to introduce todays youth to the best music ever. Recently my 8 yr old granddaughter saw the original video for Twisted Sister 'We're Not Gonna Take It' and 'I Wanna Rock'. Guess what her new favorite songs are. She's mixed, black and white, and has huge reddish brown frizzy hair. She saw Dee Snider's hair and said she's wants to make her hair like his. Ahh... the torch has been passed!
Most outstanding Album! I saw them open for Ozzy on the Blizzard of Oz Tour ..They toured the High & Dry Album and Blew everyone away!! I saw them 6 Times after! No one does it Live like they Do!
Def Leppard is the answer to the question "What if an 80s hair-metal band took their music and performing for their fans seriously?" I love these guys. They're STILL touring.
Def Leppard are NOT an 80s hair metal band they started in the 70s and were part of the NWOBM scene with Maiden etc. they inadevertantly inspired all the bon jovi bands unfortunatley
This entire album was pure gold for Def Leppard back in 83. Not a bad song on it. I just watched a video of them playing a relatively stripped down show at the Whisky in L.A. They did "Bringing on the heartbreak" and sounded awesome. No gigantic stadium style production, just them being ran through the house PA and their on stage and outboard gear. They just posted it on their channel, this is just recently and they still bring it. Nobody can say they're hiding behind tracks, this was live and raw, with a sound and feel like the era of the song itself. You should react to that one Jamel, you'll be impressed how good they sound live today..... even in a nightclub performance.
Before the arm loss. Pryomania was the album that rolled in the start of hair metal. Mutt Lange took a decent band into the Stratosphere. IMO their finest record ever.
Love def leppard, please do more. "Women" is an awsome video and song, i think you'd love it. They have a new album out called diamond star halo. The title bugged me because i couldnt figure out where i heard it. The title is a line in a t rex song "bang a gong (get it on) in the us it was called bang a gong. Anyhow, "take what you want" is good, also if you like a mellow blugrass song, they teamed up with blugrass singer Allison krauss in a song called " this guitar " it honestly is a song i can't get out of my head. Thank you for doing what you do!
This was the SH!T in my day.. xo lol. Im really sad for those who never found theirs.. I refuse to be unhappy about lack of love.. it is what it is. xo
Check out some White Lion. Just not the sappy ballad "When The Children Cry". Listen to "Wait", "Little Fighter" or the remake of "Radar Love". Vito Bratta was a phenomenal guitarist.
Another Def Leppard song you should listen to is let's get rocked two steps behind,. Rock of ages, And you should also listen to the group Poison their songs every rose has its thorn, something to Believe in, your mama don't dance, Unskinny Bop. & Nothing but a good time.
You gotta do Rock rock till you drop from this album. Got a good drive, it will have you dancing! I don’t dance at all and that song gets me on my feet 😂
JOE ELLIOT IS AN ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MUSIC! YOU CAN NOT BELIEVE HIS KNOWLEDGE OF MUSIC! HE KNOWS EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE! NO KIDDING! FROM RARE TO WORLD RENOWN. EVERYTHING!!!!! I DON'T KNOW WHEN OR HOW HE HAS OR HAD TIME TO GATHER ALL OF THIS INFORMATION, BUT HE KNOWS EVERYTHING. THERE WAS ANOTHER GUITARIST WHO WAS SO GOOD, BUT HE PASSED AWAY. I CAN'T REMEMBER HIS NAME. HE HAD REALLY LONG BLOND HAIR AND HE WAS REALLY TALENTED. HE DRANK A LOT AND IT WAS DEMISE. I DON'T SEE HIM IN THIS VIDEO, SO HE MUST HAVE PERISHED BY THE THE TIME THIS VIDEO WAS CREATED. THEY STILL PERFORM TODAY.

The 80's are the golden years of metal 🙏🤘
Man, haven't seen this video in decades. Rick Allen w/ both arms ... banging on that cowbell.
Yeah, I got used to him drumming with one arm in all the later videos after his accident. He was still a great drummer despite losing one of his arms.
To this day, still one of the greatest songs recorded
Love ❤️ it
Not just song, but album
Agree 💯🙂👍♥️
You could say that for a lot of songs by Def Leppard. “Photograph” is a stand out song too.
Make me cry! Take me back to the best days of music! ❤❤
So glad they finally got in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Also with Steve Clark -who is no longer with us!☹️he is the other one all in white playing the guitar!! I loved that man!!❤
Steve came up with so many innovative riffs. Hard to believe he was in his early twenties. This band overcame so many tragedies. Steve's passing. Rick's accident. The battles with alcohol by all members. But yet they stayed together till today. Still touring. Awesome band
Thanks Mike!! They are awesome!! Seen them sooo many times!!❤
Steve Steamin Clark! He was the best! ✊😊
Wish Steve could have stuck around a few more decades.😢
70's and 80's it just made you move. It went through you.
Even Before High and Dry we had On Through the Night which was a Great First Album 🙂👍💯♥️
Side stick hold on the snare as well
Man I'm glad to see you getting back to music reactions. This is your bread and butter shall I say. It's when I first started checking you out was your music reactions.
One of the best Def Leppard songs ever
They needed Christopher Walken yelling, "Jamel needs more cowbell!"
I read that quote in walkens voice 😂😂
😆
My father loved your channel. Sadly, he passed away to cancer. I watch your videos, and it reminds me that he is still with me in spirit through music.
My condolences. Lost my Mom last year.
I just love Def Leppard they are an awesome group with a ton of excellent music i like "photograph" along with "rock of ages." They are just great rock songs from the past. Awesome music from an awesome era to grow up in. Rock on and peace out.
LOVE Def Leppard. Im going to see them this September.
based on this comment, I went to look up ticket prices for shows near me. Nearest was Hershey PA and the prices are just....insane. Guess I remember why I stopped going to these. lol

I saw Def Leppard live in 2019. My sister's fav band so I got front row seats. I went there liking them, left loving them. They blew the roof off!!
Haven't been around for a while. I forgot how much I enjoy watching you discover these bands and different music. I rediscover them watching you discover them.

These guys could sing baby Shark and imma still rock out
One of my favorites my teen yrs❤😊
I've seen them 6times in concert.
They are good.
This is my favourite Def Leppard song. This is "hard rock" with Queen like vocals and excellent production. It doesn't hit better than this.
This song was amazing in concert. I saw them perform it on the Hysteria Tour back when I was 17 years old. That song alone convinced me to buy their back catalog.
Good to see enjoying the music I grew up listening to. It was great.
Now THIS is what Im talkin about!! LOVE DEF LEPPARD! Got to see them a few years back finally. Great show. The early albums are the best. Hysteria kicks ass too. This song is so epic though. glad you loved it! Do more or just the whole album in a row. Thnx man!

Glad to see you back doing good music videos, brother. 👍
Can we go back to the 80’s please \m/
Just saw them a couple of years ago with Motley Crue and Poison and they were freaking awesome ❤😊
They should never have been in the same concert lineup as those other two flimsy, cartoonish groups of dullards!!!
How many of you agree?!❤️😘
Meh, made for a fun triple bill. Def were amazing. I ran into Phil Collin on the street the next day. Guy couldn’t have been cooler to me ❤️
I’ve been waiting for you to get around to Def Leppard….❤
You're back in your original setup. I like it.
Good to see you back to doing music reactions.

Ah yes, the good Def Leppard. Before Hysteria and everything after. This was so good. Saw them on the Hysteria tour. Great show. High N Dry probably one of my favorites.
My favorite rock band of all time. I heard this album when it was released and was instantly hooked.

Back after a while, señor. Thank you. The 80's ROCK .
Last time i saw them in concert they were awesome.
They opened up for journey and blew them out the water.

I graduated in the 80's this was My was my kind of music

My brother played, he had 2 favorite bands Boston and Def Leppard.
Jamel, I love how you appreciate music. Thanks and keep up the great work.

This song and Rock Of Ages are just on another level
Joe Elliott has one of the best rock-n-roll voices of all time. He has that raw voice and can hit those high notes.
Soo underrated,..When I saw him in 83' he was PERFECT~
this is the song that got me into Def Leppard. I’d never heard of them and saw this on the TV, and the rest is history. Lifelong fan
Saw them in Reno NV in 2007. Brought the house down. with this.
One of their top 3 to me….getting up to that 1 million,Jamel! Keep up your great work.
There was a Chinese restaurant named Fu-Lin where I grew up, I would get this song stuck in my head every time I walked past it.
I saw these guys in 1983 in Chattanooga Tennessee, they were great!
One of their very best
This looks like a re-upload from years ago. TH-cam probably took it down.
They were my very FIRST concert! They were awesome....and a really nice group of guys! Go watch their other videos... you'll be crushin' heavy!
Praise 🙌
their best album,,,1983,,,( billy;s got a gun)🤘🤠🤘
I have seen them in concert 3 times.first time 1984 before Ruck lost his arm.1988 In Atlanta and most recently 2022 stadium tour in Atlanta
I love this song.
I would stay up late and vote for this song on Friday Night Videos!!!
This was the song that introduced me to Def Leppard and I've been a fan ever since.
Before the arm loss. Pryomania was the album that rolled in the start of hair metal. Mutt Lange took a decent band into the Stratosphere. IMO their finest record ever.
Loved your vibe i was right along with you 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
When Leppard were rockin with the metal horns....🤘🏻
Their cover of Personal Jesus is amazing.
I saw DL a few times, and it was always a great show.
Love def leppard, please do more. "Women" is an awsome video and song, i think you'd love it. They have a new album out called diamond star halo. You should come out to Boston at the beginning of August. Def Leppard, Journey and Heart playing at Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox
This was the SH!T in my day.. xo lol. Im really sad for those who never found theirs.. I refuse to be unhappy about lack of love.. it is what it is. xo

3:05 That cowbell is epic!!!!
Oohhhh Jamel's a Jammin'. I could watch you jam all day long !
Joe actually got burned from the pyrotechnics during the making of this video
I miss the 80s!! Class of 89!!🤘🤘
Class of 83 here!
First music video my eyes ever saw. On TBS’s Night Tracks.
Damn I remember staying up for that on Friday and Saturday nights. Way before anybody in my area had MTv

You gotta do Rock rock till you drop from this album. Got a good drive, it will have you dancing! I don’t dance at all and that song gets me on my feet 😂
Def Leppard was never the same after Pyromania and I prefer this era.

😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘
Welcome to my teenage world!!! This is the shit that made us girls want a boyfriend LOL OH THE DRAMA!!!🤣🤣🤣
I can remember all the people running around in those British flag shorts back in the 80s.
Nobody ever reacts to songs from High & Dry for some reason , it was so different from all the other Def Leppard !
"The drummer from Def Leppards only got one arm"
-The Bloodhound Gang
😂
How damn lucky some of us were to have grown up in the eighties.
This whole album is awesome
3:00 that’s what dame time it is 🎸😤
7 Times I got to see these Cats!!
