Do you remember when the drummer lost his arm? Remember how crushed you were? Remember how he came back in FULL FORCE without missing a BEAT??? TOUGH!

And they were really good guys. They waited for years and they could have had any drummer they wanted but they waited for their brother to figure out how to use the electronic kit and he actually did it very inspirational to people who lose or don't have a limb. He gave hope to millions of people tremendous acomplishment. It says a lot about them as human beings. Really great guys and her ridiculous band .

When the drummer got in a car accident and lost his arm, he was tapping tapping out tunes in his hospital bed, with his arm and his two feet, he never gave up and the boys had his back. He learned how to play drums with one arm and his feet, he often performed barefoot. Endurance will get you places.

I have 3 kids, son 30, daughter 27, daughter 22, they constantly thank me for exposing them to Rock and Roll. So we've done about 3 to 4 rounds with the kids with all the great bands that we could see and they wanted to see all them. So they have seen Def Leppard, Scorpions, Billy Idol at least 3 time each, for us it's like 6 times! Lol, that would include like Whitesnake, Dokken, the Cult, and the Mick Jagger and the Stones 2 times! These bands still sound great! BTW Billy Idol last time we saw him about 3 or 4 years ago, has a six pack and he's over 60! He commands a great stage presence now even more than he did back in the 80s, he's like Elvis Extreme and with Steve Stevens his main axe man they kick ass! Keep on Rockin! Larrisa, BTW if one day you just want to drift to a decade a long time ago and you have some great headphones, I recommend starting from the group that changed the culture here in the USA. The Beatles, start by listening to the early albums, you can lookup the Beatles Discography on google and then maybe use youtube or Spotify to listen to each album, you will be blown away by their great early songs, which I never get tired of hearing, onto the later years where they progressed immensely, but you've gotta put yourself back to the early 60s when there was not real rock bands yet, before the Beatles arrived, the King was Elvis and Chuck Berry, but the Beatles just blew the doors off. So many firsts, and records they broke and just changed rock music forever. So much so that there had never been a Rock Concert like you know today. So when the Beatles toured it was Chaos, because the sound engineers had never had to setup for such large arena's or stadiums. The Beatles had no monitors in front of them to hear themselves, and yet they still played and sang with those great harmonies. They were so amazing and only 17 to 21 years of age, wrote 250 songs, 40 number 1 hits something like that, 6 songs in the top 10 at once, only Michael Jackson came close with 4. Anyway, I get excited talking about them to someone who may not know why everyone says the Beatles were the greatest pop rock band of all time. They were amazing. The Stones are great also, and it's amazing that they came out roughly about the same time but didn't come to the states till after the Beatles had already broken down the doors. BTW here in California there is a college course you can take as 1 unit course called Beatles 101. Oh and one more thing, they had their own cartoon! I remember watching it when I was a kid! Listen to HELP and HARD DAYS NIGHT albums, then watch the Movies. They are funny in their own way, no academy awards but those movies were fun to watch. Ok nuff said. Take Care!

SUNY Farmingdale 1983.... That's in Long Island NY for those that don;t know. Girl in my business class brings in this record. I was like, I know they rock, been at it with them since first album. She was like do you want to go out with me? I was like sure, any girl that loves Def Lep is a keeper. We dated for a year, it was great. True story.

I was 13 and took my dad's Makita saw and cut out of a sheet of plywood the shape of Phils guitar and painted it black. .. I was way more interested in air guitar than actually playing it for real.

Steve Clark's riff....he is indeed sorely missed. Def Lep was not the same without him. The intro is proof of Clark's classical training.

wow...a lot of memories when I hear this band.
In 1983 I was listening to abba, queen, and so on.
One afternoon I turned on the radio and -to late for love- was playing.
    I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
From then on I was addicted to metal.
Pyromania the best album in rock history.
I will always hear it until I leave this world.
