Thank you for putting yourself out there for the world to see. Your videos are excellent & extremely helpful! I am applying to bartend at high end hotel restaurants. I am very hopeful this job will enhance my career in hospitality.
Pineapple juice has Bromaline in it and will help with that silly tickle you are getting towards the end ;) on another note, you rock. I've listened to a lot of bartending videos and you are the easiest to listen to. Great tips too.
Hey Joe, in this day and age (or any day and age for that matter), there is no way I would classify an entire ethnicity as being one way or another. That would be outright ignorant. With that said, I would say that most Irish people I have met seem quite delightful.
Dave or anyone who is a bartender I need your help. Every time I look for a place to Barton it’s the same experience I start out I learn from scratch I’m not given the tools I needed and when I make mistakes like everybody else does I am taken off the schedule without notice and I have experienced this at three or four different bars, and it’s like the same thing and there are other bartenders that make the same mistakes as I do but I am always singled out. I am beginning to think that bartending has just become a dying market with inflation.
Learn to ask for what you need. Is there something in your work ethic or attitude that is turning other employees off? Ask why you are taken off the schedule. Don't be a doormat and just leave because this happens.
@@daniellemuaddib8016 I did. Apparently this bar I worked out was just a bunch of assholes. They took me off the schedule without telling me why and I texted and messaged ahead of time asking if I was still coming in that day or if I was still on the schedule entirely, and I got no answer and then they were telling me that I ghosted them and then there is like a mini argument and I was just calm
It's not what you're doing, it's how you're doing it that gets you singled out. Like you said, there are others making the same mistakes. Copy a successful bartender too.
@@DSmith-ix1xf thanks for the advice, but I put a stop to bartending. After the pandemic started, they have been getting really stupid and starting to act like Third World countries probably because they’re not making money and are becoming a dying market. Many places I applied to told me they don’t hire people off the streets, which made me waves them and say OK I’m not interested anymore, and if you make mistakes which everyone has they just fire you or discriminate you honestly bars and restaurants are in dying market. They’re not making money like they used to in my hometown when I went to have a drink on a Friday night after 10 PM, there were only five people including me, and after 11 PM only two people and the vibe doesn’t feel as great as it used to it even when I did Barton I wasn’t even making money the last place I bartended an August my biweekly paycheck was $495 including tips. With inflation in the Biden administration, bars and restaurants are going to keep getting screwed.
@@Stevesmusic444The fact that you brought up politics kinda shows why you get singled out. I’m gonna assume you talk politics in person when people don’t want to talk politics.

Great stories for examples, thanks!
