Translation:
The one whom Shaivas worship as Shiva, the Vedantins as Brahman
The Buddhists as Buddha, the logicians as the creator
the devotees of Jaina tradition as Arhat, and the Mimansakas as karma
May that Hari, the lord of the three worlds, grant us our cherished desire.
Hari, I have lost after a lac attempts
I searched palaces, hills, forests, searched whole wide world
Searched orchards and streets of Gokul, searched in Vrindavan
Asked every stem, flower and leaf in the orchard.
Don’t say anything about the past Hari, hey Banwari, tell me about now.
Some ask if the one I’m searching Sri Rama, Maa Gauri or Maa Kali.
I say it’s not them but it’s Gopal, who grazes cows in a forest.
It’s not Shiva, the almighty, or Narayan who instill fear
It’s Vihari, Meera’s heart
Who adorns yellow clothes on body, peacock crown on head, and a garland on neck
He’s polymorphic, he has many forms, he’ll come by any name you call him by
Prabhu save my honour and come, come Muralidhaari, Meera says.
