One of the biggest concerns I have is the amount of money which is being ploughed into the backroom/administration/of field of the club. We have built some sort of corporate entity akin the a top Championship club whilst the we have a very average L1 team, with mostly very average L1 players. How much of the £5/8m shortfall is being put into the team? This surely has to affect our spending power in the transfer market, which is why we are not in the market for the better players and everything ends up being last minute. We desperately need reinforcements in all areas if we have any ambitions to compete for promotion. Maybe the domino effect of the window will throw up some possibilities, maybe not. On the field, I am concerned with the influence the bloated coaching team are having. I can only see 3 players in the squad who have improved this season - Russell, MDG & O’Keefe. Not one player from our Academy has established themselves in the 1st team since James Bree nearly 10 years ago. Again another high cost to the club. We talk about a ‘pathway’ but there is none. Jane is right about fitness, this must be playing a part in conceding late goals. Interesting our Head of Sports Science & our Fitness appear to have departed. Maybe we’ve worked out fitness is a problem finally. Burton’s confidence will be high whilst ours won’t be and they have a very shrewd Coach in Bowyer. Really hard to predict but I’ll plump for a 2-2 draw.
Saturday, the last time Roberts did not play, Earl was injured too. We did not play that bad with a back 3 of MDG, Pines and McCarthy. If we sort out the midfield I think we might be good for a draw but without a stricker we will be lucky to win another game.
I saw effort at Wycombe but we were second best and we keep shooting ourself in the foot with individual mistakes. I am concerned to hear after every defeat how Clarke has to pick them all up, how low the dressing room is, I would prefer to hear some defiance from the players, perhaps them having a ruck about all the mistakes they are making. Wycombe, like Wrexham, were relentless and we just don’t seem to have that. Burton is the biggest game of the season, defeat could send us on a downward spiral and the fans will be revolting. I am starting to wonder if our players have the stomach for the fight, Burton have it. I hope I am wrong, but I suspect a 2-0 Burton win.
Wycombe, there is plenty of possession but no end product. Leaking defence and fading in the last quarter of the game, sound familiar. I think they fade because they are not finishing, and they keep losing the ball in the transition, meaning everyone had to track back.
The late conceding of goals is a real issue for me, Neil - I’m always expecting it & feel relief when we don’t. Is it a lack of fitness? A lack of organisation? Can’t keep hold of the ball so bringing more & more pressure?
Great show everyone. The problem is there is no ambition in the owners and the players know it. We follow the same old pattern. Have a bad run, manager throws them under the bus, then they pick up get a few results to give us false hope before repeatedly reverting to same as before defeats and excuses. Everything about the club is amateur on and off the pitch, look at the club shop ffs, embarassing
Sorry Andrew I hope you enjoy your Saturday after the latest Oakwell borefest, I wonder what this week's excuse is. The owners have to go as does Clarke their game and its not football clearly! is up
The whole club is just stagnating Andrew and when you stand still there is only one direction👇mid to lower table mediocrity and a deafening silence from the inept owners who let's face it have no real interest in the club and they should put it up for sale now
despite the great result for us at Exeter last nightwe lost both Beckles and Clare to injuries we are running out of players again like last season, our 2 new signings have been good with 5 goals between them in the last 2 games. Burton along with Posh are the 2 teams we failed to beat on this run we are on so possibly 1-1 for you gl for Saturday, COYOs.

If Barnsley got promotion and the tv revenue simply replaced the £8m the owners are putting in, they'd be almost nailed on to come straight back down. The finances in the Championship are astronomical. Just face facts, without superb recruitment and coaching they cannot compete!
Also Barnsley won't pay on wages and never have. Average wage is £15000 week in the championship. We always struggle so if we ever want to be in the 2nd tier, likes your Preston, Millwall, etc. and stay there successfully for years to come then that's what we have to do unless thing changes. We are going to do a Bradford now and going to be a league 1 side for many years. Financial a mess, buying cheap players, pocket money wages.
@@stevewood7679it certainly will, Steve - I think we’ll start to see “nursery” teams of the big clubs - rather than Bury, it’ll be Fulham B (or worse, Man City B & C!
looking really forward to the season to be over no more watching other teams try to improve whilst we sit still and then i can get back to fishing every week
How's Nwakali not started on Tuesday? Killip being told he's done "ok". Jesus, if Killip has only done ok god knows what Clarke thinks of everyone else! I like Clarke, but we need to see something good ASAP
The notion of a managed decline is utterly ridiculous. OK, point fingers at the recruitment team but running an £8.2m deficit in the 3rd division on average gates of 12k+ is not a managed decline. The club simply cannot compete at Championship level in terms of finance, therefore savvy recruitment is crucial. That's why Oxford are over achieving. There's no way you can knock owners who are putting in millions of pounds of their own money just to enable the club to compete in the top half of League One. The finances in the EFL in the 21st century have now become utterly bonkers! It's simply a case of your millionaire owners have got deeper pockets than ours. Everyone else depends on good recruitment and quality coaching. Imo both have been lacking at Oakwell recently... Barnsley 0 Burton Albion 2. We won 4 in a row. In typical Reds fashion, losing 4 in a row seems highly likely...😂
I was told today that the owners have put more money into BFC and aren't making any, they're losing money. I don't think the majority of Fans understand this...COYR
If players turn you down it’s 1 of 3 things. 1) you can’t meet wage demand,2) they don’t want to relocate or 3) they don’t buy in to what the club’s selling them for me I think reason 3 is the most likely
Sol Brynn was starting for Middlesbro till he dislocated his shoulder 5 weeks ago. Starting for a team pushing for the Premier league to dropping to a L1 side isn't happening . You could always sign zach Hemming his replacement at Orient this season who lost us games early season for not being able to dive to stop shots. But I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole
Great show, we need to put a lot more effort in today and show some passion. Every other club seems to be announcing new signings, it looks like we are going to leave it to the last minute if we do sign anyone else. Going for a 2-1 win for Barnsley but honestly not feeling confident today!
Transfer Market, we cannot be so bad that we cannot get players in. I am sure there are some players that want to work for our manager. We need a deal maker like Dennis or Cryne. Bringing in a goalkeeper is cover but if we paying his wages, its a waste of money.
According to DC, Gauci will be the 1st choice keeper, Neil. It has taken me by surprise- I just hope (against hope?) that we recruit to positions we are desperate for! At the start of the window, a lot of people said 3 signings - a keeper, a LWB & a striker (or2) - we now have the 1st two but desperately need the last one
@andrewsymcox3150 Yes, I just saw that on the DC interview. I don't think it came over very well. I think it's going to upset some players and some fans. The new goalkeeper has played in Australia. Not a good reference.
Get a grip Craig! Live in the real world!we have a budget! Would you sooner pay out money beyond our budget for a punt at promotion? The owners are keeping a steady ship and keeping us afloat! Our club can't spend money we haven't got! I believe Clarke is doing a fantastic job with what we have! I believe we will make the playoffs !
Well said Robert, I was told this afternoon that the owners have put extra money into the Club and aren't getting anything back ...running a football club isn't easy, and smaller clubs get very little return on their investments!
Crikey,Robert, Craig got your gander up! I think Clarke is right to want to trim the squad down - we have players who aren’t likely to play & need to move on for mutual benefit. I try to be balanced & fair so I lean towards your view, Robert
I am not calling for more spending just smarter spending, top wages for injury prone players not making the most of loans to help the squad. Paying wagers to players who just arn't good enough, they would rather buy 2 you "prospects" who may come good that spending the same money on someone who is proven at this level. Just look at some of the clubs around us that are smaller seem to attract better players than we do.
If owners havent got enough money to show some ambition then they should clear off, all i hear is who would buy us, well who would buy Wycombe? Rich owners, who would buy huddersfield, rich owners, who would buy bristol rovers, rich owners, who would buy Burton, rich owners,.personally think we are an attractive proposition
Great show i agree we need at least 2 in if players can agree terms if they can't it makes it harder ,regards players going out we can only send them on loan if other clubs want them I'm going for a 2-1 win for us reds
It seems DC wants to move out quite a few, Andy. He did say a number of weeks ago that he’d be ruthless! If players go, we need replacements- strikers please!

Another superb show once again fellas and as always its good to see Jayne with you all and lets be honest if we defend like we did against Wycombe Wanderers Burton Albion will get 5 against us so on that front my prediction for Barnsley v Burton Albion is Barnsley 0-4 Burton Albion please Andy
It's my humble opinion after Tuesday night against Wycombe Andy I can't I'm afraid to say see us being able to defend any better as a team and without both Watters or Humphrys up front who is going to play up front with DKD no matter which way I look at it we are short of players to do a consolidation job whilst others are out injured or suspended Andy
Board won't act. No strength and depth. Steady decline continues. Predicted mid table at start of season based on lack of strikes power and poor quality in defense. Not been wrong so far. We are where we deserve to be.
2 false dawns this season, Jaya! Twice our fans have been looking at automatic promotion only to mess it up. 4 excellent wins (& we’re up & running), 3 successive defeats (& we’re dropping) - the agony & ecstasy of being a reds fan
We're in trouble defence looks frail, MDG out fir how long, Pines n Roberts looking shaky, Gent on and off, Phillips n Connell loss of form n Cud have Watters n Humphrys out with knocks, Ferrugia ? N Cotter out for season?? Need sum bodies in and soon oh dear oh dear!! Any positives?? killip doing gud owt else?
Killip was really good, Michael, so we’ve signed a keeper? Hopefully, Fauci is better than good! MDG has been training acc to Doug O’Kane - Watters seems doubtful but maybe fine with Humphrys?
Great video, digressing here but when i worked in the south of England my boss was Jack Bonham's Mum and she was a great boss and that was when Jack was just starting his playing career in the football career, time for us for a win so it will be Barnsley 2-1 Burton
I went into the Wycombe game more with hope rather than expectation of coming away with any result, too many players have hit a bit of a rough spell at the same time and in an ideal world we would have the squad depth to mix things up a bit. I wouldn’t throw anyone in particular under the bus after recent results, as there are too many that need a kick up the backside. The board need(ed) to take action and as we see teams strengthening around us, Clarke looks like having to make do with the cards he has. Looking at the money flowing out for players that would make a difference to the squad, it is a big gamble for us to spend so much. Loans, unknowns and freebies are our market and league one is our home for a long time I think. Barnsley 2-1 Burton
Another Goalkeeper? What a waste of a wage & no doubt a loan fee as well! Killip and Smith should be battling it out for the GK jersey. FAO Clarke & The Board - WE NEED A STRIKER!
The Wycombe match summed up our season. We started well and scored. And then we allowed Wycombe to take total control. It was the good shot stopping from Killip that allowed us to lead at half time. Our defence was poor. They kept on letting the ball bounce and allowing the Wycombe attackers to run behind. And they were usually goal side too. It was school boy defending from Pines and Roberts. And they didn't get any better in the 2nd half. Earl had a great chance to double our lead, but he couldn't even find the target. It was inevitable that Wycombe He going to score. It was just a matter of how and when. Again, the Wycombe attacker got goal side of Connell and Pines, and a penalty was the result. And then probably one of the most unprofessional things committed by a Barnsley player in history. Roberts should hang his head in shame. It probably wasn't a red card, but he gave the referee the opportunity to make a game-changing decision. He knows better. Roberts has been a shadow of the player we saw earlier in the season since he came back from injury. We played pretty well with 10 men, and Phillips had one of the worst misses in our history. It would have guaranteed us a point at least. And then we get to injury time. It was inevitable one team was going to score the winner. Hint, it wasn't going to be us. And again we have seen this goal before. We give the ball away too easily, we allow the them to cross the ball too easily and then we have a defender defending fresh air on 6 yard box. The ball goes over his head, and Kone scores the winner. Another game of starting well and then allowing the other team to take control. Not taking our chances. Poor defending. Poor leadership. And another late goal. There has to be questions about the mental strength of this team. I know there are still plenty of games to go, but this felt like the end of our season. We look to have no chance of promotion. A top6 position looks like a bridge too far. Our squad lacks quality. We will have a big decision to make about Phillips in the summer. He's probably our only sellable asset that might make a million plus. Hopefully, he scores more than he misses before the end of the season. Connell's form has regressed and he won't have too many suitors. We have a number of players whose contracts expire at the end of the season. They will all be leaving with our best wishes. I see we have loaned out Benson to Swindon. They have no money, so I'm sure we will still be paying his wages. We are in no man's land in the transfer window. We don't have enough money to buy a quality League 1 striker. Smith from Reading to Wrexham for 2 million plus. We can't compete. Our owners will have to look at putting more money into the club or looking at bringing new owners to the club. The previous Wycombe owner found a billionaire from Kazakhstan. Changes have to be made off the field. Otherwise, our future is League 1 football. And that is pretty bleak future. On a positive note, Joe Gauci is an awesome goalkeeper. He's already played for the Socceroos in World Cup qualifiers. We needed someone of his quality at the beginning of the season. Burton are fighting for their lives. We are due to go on a winning run. Or maybe we have run out of puff. It will be interesting to see. 3 - 2 win to the Reds.
Absolutely excellent comments & analysis, Michael - 2 glaring misses that would have won us the game … stop letting the ball bounce … get in the way of the attacker …. Learn how to keep possession instead of kicking it anywhere!
Going to watch later. Poor Killip taking the flak. He's done better than ok. What about Watters. He's done nothing. Strikers are judged on goals not running the channels. Talk about getting priorities backwards. GK was the least of our problems. We need 2 striker's and a decent CB. I saw the crowd of just over 3k announced at Wycombe. If we can't compete financially with them we've fallen massively. We are a bigger club and should be pro active and compete with most of this League. If other clubs can get business done early why can't we. It's shameful what our owner's are doing
Wycombe are owned by a billionaire, the players are on good contracts and salaries. They have turned down a bid of £5 million for Kone already this window. Barnsley are small time in Division 1 now,it has a lot of wealthy clubs and this number will continue to grow. The club are doing their best, but can't compete with the clubs at the top of the division.
@@philiptye1864 Barnsley are owned by billionaires who had a 5 year plan to get us promoted from the Championship. But they never invested. Taking us years backwards. Leading to a board re shuffle a couple of seasons ago removing them from any dealings with the club on board level. We are a big club at league one level and should be able to compete with almost every club in the division. But our rich owner's have no ambition. We sold two players last season for double the offer for Kone but didn't invest a penny into the squad.
@@philiptye1864 We are owned by billionaires. Have been for year's. Just not ambitious ones who spend beyond the clubs means. So if you can continue on 3k fans and owner's pumping money in fair enough. But we are a bigger club going by ground and attendance. Your saying your bigger because billionaire owners pump money in. I would rather be us living within our means.
Attendance isn't such a big factor in terms of finances in modern day football. Wycombe are being bankrolled by a wealthy owner. That's the surest way to get success these days. Very few clubs outperform their budget.
If I was the current owners, I’d consider it, Mark. I honestly think they can’t do right for doing wrong - where will new owners come from? Ones who’ll put in the money?
Great preview as always. Flip a coin today. A performance is needed more then ever today. I can see it quickly turn if we continue with this bad form. But saying this I can see today getting hostile by some corner of the fans if the results dont pick up. Burton are no mugs, they pick up some good results of late. I don't feel confident. Barnsley 1-3 Burton
It doesnt help that corey o keefe is as weak as piss . Same with gent .. too many times he pulls out of tackles and gets pushed over . I think that roberts tackle was to show a bit of physicality to opposition . He needs to toughen up . Its sad to see connells decline could it be the captaincy . Theres something not right .. we need to see him playing with a smile on his face again .. Dave regis would get straight in this team thats where we are at present .. Killip is the only positive from the game
I think O'Keefe least of our problems, to be honest. We've got Watters who offers nothing. Gent who is just a squad player with potential, Connell who seems to want to play backwards. Roberts and Pines who are crap on the ball. Honestly can't understand why Nwakali is not first name on team sheet.
@tyke-sl8bs he's as poor as rest of them .. we play 2 wing backs who struggle to get the ball in box and who are scared of a tackle .. Completely agree with nwakali.
@tyke-sl8bs I can't fault his effort . I just don't see him playing at this level .. backs out of too many tackles and gets muscled off ball too easy .. He is not the only issue though
It’s a rather big game tomorrow now. We need the win. Still waiting for the big signing, although we are trimming the squad a little. I’m going for a 2-1 reds win.
Good show guys, I would not say that Roberts tackle was necessary, but for me he hit the ball first. Not even close to a red card. Yes we created some chances, and Phillips could have shot us all three points, but Wycombes victory was fair. Their 3 men at front impressed me. Believe we win 2-0 today.
since these idiots all came to barnsley fc they have done nothing had long enough of penny pinching and selling all the best players enough is enough du a poll of the 10 thousand barnsley fc fans the majoriry want a total clear out sell up and go the lot of you joke the way you have rum barnsley fc since you all came to the club
@@richardbarraclough3508 I have no intention of doing such a poll, Richard, just like I had no intention of producing 10,000 protest posters. I’ll leave all that to those who want to do it
We need to win today. We’ve gone from 4 straight wins to 3 straight losses, we desperately need to tighten this defence up and stop giving away cheep easy goals especially at the death and we need to sharpen up with our attack, our issues all over the pitch are clear for all to see. Hopefully we can get the result we need today and stop the slide, I’m going for a 2-1 reds win
And the dread continues, the fall off has continued and the chances of quality incoming players has yet again drastically reduced. I really feel for clarke and the sqaud of players who want reinforcements/quality signings to ease the burden and work load on them but yet again hung out to dry. I think that is the biggest problem we are seeing with the side at the moment. Lads dropping in and out due to injuries, fatigue from over playing with a hint of mental fatigue knowing that there isn't a sub that can relieve some of the pressure/help get a result over the line is hitting the lads and is probably why we keep conceding late on a regular basis. Yes they are professional footballers but even the best of players need that respite as they cant sprint for 90 mins and not feel it week in week out. Its all doom and gloom from me, we only have a keeper in to replace the vastly improved Killip, Roberts suspended, MDG still a ?, Humps a ?, Cotter out, watters out, Farrugia out, Earl still coming back for injury, phillips recovering from an illness. So it's a weak and weakened side with no reinforcements and lost our last 3 vs a Burton on the crest of wave, won their last 3, lost 1 in 5 and have signed a set of lads we should have considered at Oakwell. Ill go 3-2 win to Barnsley 😅. The other 3 arent as enthusiastic as me and have all gone with a 2-1 win. You Reds 🔴💪
I would not be surprised if we don't see any more additions to our club within this transfer window. We just dont have the income. I'm sure that almost all the transfer kitty that we have amassed over the last couple of seasons has already gone in the running of the club itself, including player's wages. I just wish we could get rid of Josh Benson who has been a financial millstone around the club's neck for years. Alas he's played so little for us over the years that nobody wants him, so he will run down his contract like Bale did at Madrid. When is his contract up? It seems to be going on forever ! Can the kit men please remember to give both right and left boots to the team today, instead of a pair of left boots only that the players have been wearing during the last 3 games 😂😢 My prediction is a 2-0 defeat to the Brewers. Bodvarsson and Dodgson (of course) to score.
I have got to give credit where credit is due and despite my comments about killip before our match against Wycombe, as much as I still don't rate him , he proved me wrong against Wycombe because he stopped us getting humiliated and battered by about 5 or 6 goals with the saves he pulled off for us, so even though he's made quite a few mistakes m he's not the only player to do that for Barnsley and I kind of feel bad for him now , seeing as we have signed a new goalkeeper from Aston Villa on loan. However it might keep killip on his toes and give him some competition to keep number 1 goalkeeper spot while smith might go back out on loan again, unless we keep hold of him aswell to add to the no.1 goalkeeper competition spot. As muchnas i have seen highlights of the magnificent saves the Aston Villa loan goalkeeper as pulled off , i personally think Smith deserves a shot in goal as I believe we are yet to see him play in goal for us yet. Anyway it was great to hear we took the lead through Russell's shot deflection ,but we can't seem to hold onto a lead , especially with about 20 minutes to go soon as we get to around the 70th+ minute mark and I can't get my head around it. If we are winning by at least one goal , we need to keep attacking and look for at least a second goal to be more comfortable kind of like we did against wrexham e.t.c. We can't continue playing and performing this way, because as already mentioned if we do I think it will get rather nasty at Oakwell with our fans becoming more and more frustrated. BFC and the board seriously need to think and take action bringing in more players, especially bringing in a couple of decent , preferably experienced strikers that can put the ball in the back off the goal and a few defenders for cover to strengthen our defence . If they don't take action ASAP and bring in more players (Definitely strikers) before tge transfer window shuts again then I think there will be possibly be (sever) consequences and I dread to think where things might go regarding our fans and BFC. We are basically crying out for a striker or two that's got goals in them, but until the board and BFC take responsibility for their actions, I can't see us making the playoffs this season and likening already mentioned I think it might become rather nasty from out fans point of view towards the board and BFC. Please BFC do something to get our club out of this mess , by bringing in some decent ,experienced championship/ league one players. If nothing gets done about our transfer situation and performance to gain a playoff spot then I can see a lot of bfc fans not renewing their season tickets next season and BFC / the board will have no one else to blame but themselves. I havd said it before and I will say it again, I wish we had showed some ambition to sign goalkeeper Jamal Blackman , but its too late for that as he's signed on loan for Shrewsbury now. I was impressed by him and his saves he pulled off for Exeter city when they came back up to league one and played us at Oakwell. Also I just wish Barnsley FC would show some ambition and fight to sign Kemar Roofe who I believe is still a free agent and a experienced championship goalscorer or at least come to some kind of deal to sign a player of his ability and caliber. As for our game at home to Burton, I don't think I can bring myself to go against Barnsley again, so I am going to stay positive again and 🙏 we get another win at home with a 2-1 win at Oakwell on Saturday, Phillips (if he's still with us after the transfer window) and SKD to score for us and Bodvarsson to score for them. Hopefully we won't flop again like the ten pin bowling mascott and with the performance against Stevenage. Come On You (Super) Reds BFC 🐶❤🔴⚪️⚽️.
Barnsley 2 Burton 2 - with the away goals likely to come late in the match or in extra time. Teams appear to relish coming to us whatever their league position is. They seem to be able to take the matches by the scruff of the neck and are happy to attack late into games without fear of conceding. Weird.
My prediction for the game is: Barnsley 1-Burton 1. A 93rd minute equaliser by Barnsley, to the shocked but hopeful remaining home supporters. The rest having already left to fill social media with calls for everyone at the club to sack themselves. At the full time whistle, Barnsley fans are replaced on social media by Burton fans, wondering why they can't beat teams like Barnsley 😂😂😂 Have a lovely weekend everyone 😊.

Saturday, the last time Roberts did not play, Earl was injured too. We did not play that bad with a back 3 of MDG, Pines and McCarthy. If we sort out the midfield I think we might be good for a draw but without a stricker we will be lucky to win another game.

We’ll know by tomorrow afternoon, rmb, if the players show any bottle - they need to!
We need to get to 50 points asap😂🙈
Great show everyone. The problem is there is no ambition in the owners and the players know it. We follow the same old pattern. Have a bad run, manager throws them under the bus, then they pick up get a few results to give us false hope before repeatedly reverting to same as before defeats and excuses. Everything about the club is amateur on and off the pitch, look at the club shop ffs, embarassing
I’ve arrived at the ground full of hope, if not expectation, Danny - you’ve crushed me 😂😂
Sorry Andrew I hope you enjoy your Saturday after the latest Oakwell borefest, I wonder what this week's excuse is. The owners have to go as does Clarke their game and its not football clearly! is up
@ if no striker comes in, the fans will become even more frustrated, Danny
The whole club is just stagnating Andrew and when you stand still there is only one direction👇mid to lower table mediocrity and a deafening silence from the inept owners who let's face it have no real interest in the club and they should put it up for sale now
@ if I was them, Danny, I would do so & see who comes out into the open
despite the great result for us at Exeter last nightwe lost both Beckles and Clare to injuries we are running out of players again like last season, our 2 new signings have been good with 5 goals between them in the last 2 games. Burton along with Posh are the 2 teams we failed to beat on this run we are on so possibly 1-1 for you gl for Saturday, COYOs.
I hope you’re right, Phil - we’ve now got could do with it. You’re playing really well & smashing everyone! All the best
We got caught out in defence to many times on Tuesday night and think Burton will play on this so going for a 1-1 draw COYR
I think you’re right, Peter - I can’t believe how many times our CBs let the ball bounce & were then in trouble

But surely this kind of ludicrous wage inflation will eventually be the death of the game in the lower leagues?
@@stevewood7679it certainly will, Steve - I think we’ll start to see “nursery” teams of the big clubs - rather than Bury, it’ll be Fulham B (or worse, Man City B & C!
looking really forward to the season to be over no more watching other teams try to improve whilst we sit still and then i can get back to fishing every week
It can get very frustrating & disheartening, PTBW.
How's Nwakali not started on Tuesday?
Killip being told he's done "ok". Jesus, if Killip has only done ok god knows what Clarke thinks of everyone else!
I like Clarke, but we need to see something good ASAP
Many conundrums there, tyke! I personally have no idea about any of them😮
The notion of a managed decline is utterly ridiculous.
Excellent comments, Steve! I do sometimes wonder why they continue to put money in with the stick (& abuse) they get
If players turn you down it’s 1 of 3 things. 1) you can’t meet wage demand,2) they don’t want to relocate or 3) they don’t buy in to what the club’s selling them for me I think reason 3 is the most likely
No idea, Jonathan - we’ve now got Fauci as No 1. Crikey
Thanks for the info, pj - we’ve signed Villa’s Fauci - didn’t see that!
Great show, we need to put a lot more effort in today and show some passion. Every other club seems to be announcing new signings, it looks like we are going to leave it to the last minute if we do sign anyone else. Going for a 2-1 win for Barnsley but honestly not feeling confident today!
Me & thee both, Mr Top of both Leagues! 😊
@ a few years ago, there were supposedly mystery buyers who never materialised, Glenn - anyone could make an offer at any time
Great show i agree we need at least 2 in if players can agree terms if they can't it makes it harder ,regards players going out we can only send them on loan if other clubs want them I'm going for a 2-1 win for us reds

Crikey o’ blimey, Wayne! 0-4! All is lost if this is how you feel
Can I change my prediction please Andy to Barnsley v Burton Albion please to Barnsley 2-1 Burton Albion I've just seen the team for today please Andy
@ you certainly can, Wayne!
@andrewsymcox3150 thank you Andy
I cannot see any chance of a win, what with Roberts suspended and both strikers injured I can only see at best 1-1 draw
I hope at least Humphrys is ok for tomorrow, Ray
It’ll be about time that we won, Alex. Lovely story - thank you
@andrewsymcox3150 thanks Andy, a draw is better than a loss, I will watch the instant reaction video to the match after Match of the Day this evening!
@ I hope you enjoy it, Alex
Lisa's husband here. Good show guys but in our family madness prevails. Both me and Joe W think we'll win 2-0. COYR. 👍
We’re playing Burton at an awful time for us but an excellent time for Burton, Andy - Sod’s Law! Nowt wrong with wanting to be positive
Sad but true thoughts, Chris
Another Goalkeeper? What a waste of a wage & no doubt a loan fee as well! Killip and Smith should be battling it out for the GK jersey. FAO Clarke & The Board - WE NEED A STRIKER!
We definitely need a striker, John
Exactly 💯
Craigs called it reight, new owners required, like its been the case for the best part of the last decade.
A win would settle things a bit, JJJ - but yes, I could get silly
I struggled with O'Keefe but his crosses have got better and he's got quite a few assists.
@tyke-sl8bs I can't fault his effort . I just don't see him playing at this level .. backs out of too many tackles and gets muscled off ball too easy ..
He is not the only issue though
And yet Killip is apparently to be replaced by Fauci! It’s all getting too confusing
It’s a rather big game tomorrow now. We need the win. Still waiting for the big signing, although we are trimming the squad a little. I’m going for a 2-1 reds win.
I hope you’re right, Tracy - I’m saying the same with fingers crossed
Good show guys, I would not say that Roberts tackle was necessary, but for me he hit the ball first. Not even close to a red card. Yes we created some chances, and Phillips could have shot us all three points, but Wycombes victory was fair. Their 3 men at front impressed me.
Believe we win 2-0 today.
Fair analysis, Tony - I agree with you
since these idiots all came to barnsley fc they have done nothing had long enough of penny pinching and selling all the best players enough is enough du a poll of the 10 thousand barnsley fc fans the majoriry want a total clear out sell up and go the lot of you joke the way you have rum barnsley fc since you all came to the club
I’d love to see the result of a 10,000 Barnsley fan poll, Richard! I’m far from sure though that it’d be for a total clear out!
@andrewsymcox3150 well du a poll then cos people has had enuf of them they have had long enough at barnsley fc ruined the club the lot of them
@@richardbarraclough3508 I have no intention of doing such a poll, Richard, just like I had no intention of producing 10,000 protest posters.
Oh heck, Nick - need to be better at the back, in midfield & up front! 😊
My prediction is Barnsley 0-2 Burton
Cheers, tyke - not a great time to be playing Burton at an- stats say they’ve won 5 this season but 3 of them are the last 3 games! Stats eh!
You Reds 🔴💪
The stats aren’t with us, Mr M, that’s for sure! Sod the stats! COYR!
@andrewsymcox3150 I'm stuck in bed with a chest infection so I think the medication has got to my head 😂
2-2
Cheers, Kevin
His contract is up in the summer, Tim - we can’t go on as we are - can’t defend, can’t score!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading your comments, SRs! Many thanks for sharing them - great insight
@andrewsymcox3150 Thank you for taking your time to read it all.
@ I always do, SRs - it’s why we want comments - yours are always fair & balanced but very honest
Barnsley 2 Burton 2 - with the away goals likely to come late in the match or in extra time. Teams appear to relish coming to us whatever their league position is. They seem to be able to take the matches by the scruff of the neck and are happy to attack late into games without fear of conceding. Weird.
It’s a repeating story, Keith
My prediction for the game is:
Barnsley 1-Burton 1.
A 93rd minute equaliser by Barnsley, to the shocked but hopeful remaining home supporters. The rest having already left to fill social media with calls for everyone at the club to sack themselves. At the full time whistle, Barnsley fans are replaced on social media by Burton fans, wondering why they can't beat teams like Barnsley 😂😂😂
Have a lovely weekend everyone 😊.
Now that made me chuckle, Phil!
