Is your device from your carrier and also is it unlocked? if it was unlocked using a simple method after reloading the OS it may have become locked to its original network again.

I tried to update in S5 SM-900I model with same way as shown in video but it stuck 3 times at 69% and gave an error of something went wrong and update stopped. Please suggest on same.
If all fails back up and wipe your device and then try updaing normally.

5:45 what happened there!? How do we get the update option to show up? You edited right past it. I don't see it anywhere in the software.
Sorry about that it was at that point in the video I realized I had forgotten to connect the Internet. I was doing something and had disabled it, that's why when I came back I told you to make sure your internet connection is connected. Once you are it should prompt you like me or simply do as I did and enter the serial number and device model and download the device firmware to load unto your device.
This method also works in returning rooted devices or those with Custom ROM to stock firmware.
ooh Forgot if the update option is not coming up Click on More-First option emergency software and Initialization. Make sure you have your device information which can be found on the Box, The back of the device or withing about phone such as your Serial number, IMEI,device version.

Hi Ricardo. Please what should I do when in Smart Switch in the update line is written just following: "Current software version of your device: QJ2(ETL)" and there's is nothing else? No update button. Does it mean there's no newer update availabe (the newest is already installed)? Should I periodically check it via Smart Switch and wait till Samsung will come with newer one and update line will be displayed then? Thank you much in advance for helping me.

1..my phone is j7pro and whenever I try to check for updates it says the phone have been modified in unauthorized way, tells me to use smart switch. So when I check using smart switch no updates available. So you said a normal phone status should be official not custom...well this one shows official status yet can't get updates...what could be the reason. Pls help thanks.

I dont think you can thats why it prompts you to go to a samsung service and get it fixed there cause they have to assume that you don't have a pc/laptop

How can i fix my Google Nexus 5 mobile update issue. after the mobile update, it is asking the password. but the issue is same area (password) on the screen another app window popup and displayed ( google- tap to talk), so it is clashing together and stuck there and i cant give the password and not opening the tap to talk window also. but other than emergency call, or switch off, display screen, everything is working properly. thank you guys advance
Did you try rebooting and see if that would get rid of it or hitting the back button if there is no option to close it.

@@mathewjohn461 you just need to restart your phone so like shut it down then turn it back on again im pretty sure you just have to hold down the power botton until it says shut down then press it then when it fully shuts down press and hold the power button again unitl a logo pops up

Yes but you will have to use "Samsung Kies" instead of the "Smart Switch" App. It will update you to the latest version, but root will be removed. Also make sure your device is not using any third party temporary unlock method as it will remove it(Your phone may re-lock), if you have never unlocked your devices it OK then. If your device cames unlocked, comes from a carrier like T-mobile,AT&T.... which is your service provider you are good to go.
