We don’t have a free swap in my town, but we have a few FB pages with free items. A kind woman gave me a chair yesterday that is like brand new! It’s upholstered and the bottom slides out for a lounge chair and you can lay the back flat for a bed. The whole thing folds up into a small chair. Perfect for my small home! Thank you for the book info, I love a true story!
Yayyyyy for the free swap! My town transfer station has two big barns called "the swap shop". One is organized like goodwill, the other barn is just furniture. All free! ❤
I love tea parties of every kind. I remember my Mom and I would have them. Such a special memory. When my children were growing up, we would do surprise movie, where we would take turns picking out a "surprise movie" . They always did surprise us with their choices, usually choosing something we hadn't seen in a long time. We'd go to the local store to pick out treats, come home and close the house up, get out the comforters and pillows and just have a wonderful time together. Thanks for sharing 🥰🍃🍂🍁👻🎃
I'm really glad you had some time to read. I love that the children are so creative with the blankets! I love that your plan B is always with ease. Pizza dinner is fun and yummy! I love your Tea Time day!!
I was waiting for your Thanksgiving dinner and then remembered you don’t have yours yet 😊. We had ours yesterday. Good to get together but a lot of work too.
I loved how excited the kids were when you said they were having pizza. That's just like at my house since our daughter and her 3 kids live with us. My husband what just saying I haven't made sourdough bread for a long time. He must like it if he noticed. Time to make some. I just made homemade ice cream so the kids will be excited too.
This is what I’ve learned to do with my sourdough too. I just make sure I’ve got 2-3 cups of starter ready to go. I work out of the home and I’ve made it work for me, which is the key. You don’t h Abe to be a slave to it. Those rolls looked amazing!
😂 Do you have any dishes left? That was so funny. Kids are the greatest. The food looked delicious. I miss my mom making homemade cinnamon rolls. You're a great mom and you're making memories with your kids. God bless you all from NC. 🙏💙🙏
LOVE the pillow pile and that you were able to have your reading time beside it unbothered. It’s a good headspace you maintain! We make homemade pizza almost every Saturday night! It’s fun because we can experiment with different pizza ideas since we have it so often. One of my daughter’s favorites is taco pizza.
Enjoying your Vlogtober! Can you share your recipe binder? And can you share the recipes in your Christmas planner as well as look through?? Is it the same recipes as last year?? Thanks so much Hilary!❤😊
Hi Hilary. I am enjoying Vlogtober again this year. Your cinnamon buns looked so yummy. Everything you make always looks very good. I am.excited to see what you find at the free swap. That is just such a good idea. Thanks for sharing another day. Take Care. God Bless
Yum! Lisa’s recipe is very forgiving… I made it last weekend and mixed up a step and they were so delicious 😋 yes!! I enjoy making a ton of sourdough items when I have my starter out and ready.
Definitely Lisa from Farmhouse on Boone here on TH-cam, as well as Davee Killian, also here on YT. Lots of trial and error, emphasis on the error ;) but I'm also not super precise and have found that the more you work with it the more you can kinda wing it!
Hi Hilary, I just ordered your Christmas book planner, I'm so excited to receive it, and keep me accountable with my family to make our holiday season go as smoothly as possible. :) Thank you for your hard work on it! Do you branch out and read genres other than a murder mystery? I enjoyed some, but I have been reading some historical fiction/non-fiction ----true story accounts. Currently, I'm reading We Were the lucky ones from the WWII era. Highly recommend. Maybe it's not to your liking.
How do you know when to put the dough in the fridge to hold? Before or after the first rise? I love making bread but most of my recipes just go straight through the steps and I am never sure where I could push pause.
It depends on the end product I'd say. So the pie crust I put immediately in the fridge since I want the butter to stay cold and it also allows for a slow fermentation over a few days. The bread I typically let rise overnight and at that point I'll put it in the fridge. Something like cinnamon rolls you could leave out overnight and then shape, fill, and cut, and then put back in the fridge to bake later. I'm by no means an expert, but over the years I've found that it's hard to really mess it up to the point of being unusable. Weather also plays a part, and the temperature in your home, so it's very much a "learn as you go" process :)
have a great swap day❤and thanks for sharing the books 📚 please let us know how you like them. I’ve read two of your recommendations. “ The Light between Oceans” and “Lies” by T.M. Logan.
If you tell is such a great read, I loved it. Haven't read this one by Alice Feeney but I just finished Daisy Darker and it's so good. The third book, I haven't heard of it, so thanks for showing the title. Do you have a video on sourdough starter? I had tried once and it was a disaster. Will look up your channel. Thank you
I read it in less than 3 days... just wow. As far as the sourdough, I don't have any videos about starting it since I got some from my Dad, so I can't speak to starting it from scratch. There's lots of local FB groups you could check, or even someone at your church, that could share starter with you!
I just finished If You Tell, wind or was a true story, compelling at that, I just felt like it dragged on. Then abruptly ended like the author ran out of time and had to finish telling the story.
What a wonderful memory your children will have from the tea breakfast.
Mother calmly reading in the midst of the living room being topsy turbi. Priceless.

What a fun tea party! ☕️ 🫖 The cinnamon rolls looked delicious!
Please review the books when you’re done, they looked interesting! 📚
Especially the one were she lies. I want to know the ending. Have a good day.

Your son had work to do this morning😃. And he apologized after. So sweet. He’s doing his thing in his house. No need to be sorry❤️

Enjoyed
I'm new. I enjoyed your content. ❤
Welcome! So glad you’re here 🤗
When you were first learning about sour dough what recourses did you use? I hope to get my starter here soon.

So glad, hope it blesses you! I've read a couple WWII era books, and they're okay, but yeah I like a good mystery
Hi Hillary, love your video's
Pizza looks so good. Do you still have your Doggie Finn or was he rehomed?
If you watch her videos regularly you will see him roaming around the house periodically. I didn't see him today but he's definitely around.
@Anagrams458 I do watch her videos, but I have not seen him.. thank you though ☺️

Your dress is so pretty! Could you tell where to purchase it?
Thank you! It’s old navy, and I found it at a thrift store 💛
Thanks for the info! The dress is beautiful. I really appreciate your videos and all your work.
I appreciate you being here and the kind words 💛
Do you not ice your cinnamon rolls?
Generally I don’t, I think they’re sweet enough, but of course you can ☺️
🌻
Have you ever read any Freida McFadden books?
Oh yes, maybe 4-5 at this point
@@OldWorldHome Yes they are good!

Did you have, or will you get, any damage from these hurricanes? I hope not. ❤
I did not

I read it in less than 3 days, and yeah I kind of agree about the ending being a bit abrupt. Crazy to think both their sentences are already up!
@@OldWorldHome i can't understand how that's so, it's crazy to me!
