sir , i want to clear one of my doubt regarding IR .
Recently OIC has criticised (especially by Iran , Malaysia and Turkey) India's action in Article - 370 and CAB related matters which shows the interference of OIC members in India's internal affairs .
My question is as India - Iran recently agress in development of Chabahar port which shows a strong ties between the two , does this development will have any negative impact upon this trilateral project of India ?
I mostly travel by roadways I have seen FASTag many times and I always wondered how the hell it works and why all vehicles don't use. Never got a clear explanation of it but this video was really awesome. I appreciate the effort made by Mahipal Sir

Tag cloning is a serious issue. I am an electronic engineer and we work on rfid. And it's pretty easy to hack through these RFIDs.

I have a Paytm FASTag, which can be disabled via the app.
Is tere not any preinstalled wifi sys in cars which can pay threw any bank card.
The person will get an SMS though, if his money is deducted. So, if he complaints the culprit can be detected eventually by the system.

FASTtag should be portable (Detectable) like metro cards..just show fast tag card and pass..no cloning issues no dust issue..

As we are living in the 21 century when the new technology has changed our life completely & fastag is also an initiative in this direction which should be appreciated but there are some glitches in this technology & to overcome this government should distribute fastag cards instead of stickers & one can recharge them via debit/ credit card or paytm like we do in metro cards . By these steps we can eliminate problems like cloning , stealing personal data & weather impacts on the sticker. Also government should make strict guidelines to prevent the tracking of the private vehicle.
there are a lot of app in everyone's phones but we can easily allow them to detect our datas . but here if government takes any good step then it should be questionable.
its when as we already know that the money detect from our those apps which we already installed. Anyway everyone has there own thinking. thank you sir you way of teaching is awesome.

Accepting new technology is best for developing India like FASTag but on the other hand there should be personal identity is a big issue(bank detail,locations,transaction,etc).If we build up such guideline for these agencies for data transfer then it work efficiently. 2nd thing is that cash transition is also applicable because market work on cash.
1. This card should rechargeable for unlimited time.
2. There should be openly 2 way view for profile detail. (Means bothside team ko pata Hona Chahiye kaun kiska profile Dekh Raha hai )
3. It will reduce criminal activities.
4. There should be different as well particular ID card for private & commercial separately.

I am a engineer at toll plaza and i want to say that any person information can also be fetched by his vehicle number while its standing in parking than why you are afraid from fast tag.

If tracking of cars is a problem then puting details on Train and flight ticket is also a privacy concern.
Cons.:- Double charge should be exempted at least first 3 chances on vehicle id or should provide fast tag on spot.

Most of the above problems can be tackled if the FASTag card, rather than being installed on the windshield, ba carried by the person driving the car. When he arrives at the toll gate, he can simply show it to the scanner like how it works in Delhi metro. It might take little more time than the current FASTag cards, but will still be very effective & save time and surely protect the card info from privacy issues.

Government can make a box or case in which you can fix it on the windshield and u can also keep your card in that box and whenever necessary the driver can pull a shield which blocks the card from direct sunlight or can prevent any malpractice which can be done by scanning the card.

For the security purpose.. Gov can do provision of otp.. So that without confirmation no data n transaction will proceed.
I believe some sort of electronic toll collection is must. I have used toll collection system in multiple States I. United States - right from manual cash payment to paying by credit card or cash deposit to machine to technology similar to RFID. Places where they have electronic toll collection (technology similar to RFID, not sure if they use RFID, but the concert is exactly same), the scanners are about 20 feet on top of the road and vehicles go at the same full speed. If you pay by cash, there is a separate Lane and you have to pay almost 30% to 50% more considering coat of collection manually is high.

Yes sir FASTag should be made compulsory as this reduces the wait time and makes the movement of vehicles smoother at toll gates. Considering the disadvantages, they can be rectified over time but saving time is that matters most.

Fastag technology is very good but all preparation should be done before implementing in our country. The cons looks very serious but it can be resolved , so better work on it before making it compulsory for everyone.
For commercial vehicles, it should be compulsory, but not for private vehicles
And there should be 2:3 lanes for non - fastag users : fastag users instead of 1:4

NPCI which is an inventor company of UPI with BHIM application should have an option like BHIM FASTAG after verification through RTO for vehicle number and bhim application should allow a transaction from mobile so it can solve RFID tear and wear loss and rest all....

Fastag is good technology
Another issue is overcharging or double charging of fasttag due to technical glitch.
There should only one nation one card which can be used for any type of payment wether it is shopping, transportation or soon where you can swipe and go on.
Nice video!! fastag should be compulsory but the method of payment is not effective it should be something like a user have their own card and they can scan Thier card at toll plazas once they reach and the amount will automatically deduct from thier respective bank. And the scanner should be fixed in such a way so no one can wait for long time in queue.

Privacy violation and cloning of tags are serious drawbacks of fastag.
Location tracking should be enabled only for commercial vehicles.
Also, they should come up with an alternative to the sticker thing, to reduce the threat of illegal scanning of these RFID stickers

If any vehicle travel up and down then person has to pay little amount. For example one time crossing is ₹50 and 2 time crossing is ₹80 then while using FASTag how much amount has to be paid ₹80 or ₹100.

In every country to start a new technology there are some problems but the only people who have to suffer because of this are the common man, it is good but first government should go lenient with it and when people get used to it and aware of it, it shld then be good to make it mandatory
FasTag was lauched 4 years earlier till 4 yrs govt.was leninet only but people have a habit to do everything on deadline.
I like some facts in this video , but there are some flaws.
* camera dosent sense RFID.
You are talking about disadvantages-
*what privacy they are violating it is good that gov has track on every one so as crime rate will be reduced.
* double charge - because in every lane gov has to place an individual for those without tag , which leads to problem for other who has fast tag , as they have to wait.
*RFID comes with data encryption techniques there are so many them. You can't retrieve data of any RFID untill you go for brute force (believe me it will take years if you try to retrieve data yourself).
* There are so many ways to stop cloning , don't you think our gov have think about this??
* RFID card is so small that it can fit into any thing they are useing a durable plastic so dust or scratches dosent matter. It will be easly detected by RFID scanner.
* if you really wanna hack RFID
Then you need to do this
-RFID scanner high in cost (depends on range )
-then you have to decrypt their encryption technology ( it may take years )
- if you possible to do so then you have to face our cyber security 😂😂

In Dubai temperature is little above than India... Such payment systems are also followed there...
And as far as penalising cash payment is there I thing giving discounts on pre payment is the solution rather than penalising cash payment.
And yes... Some agreement should be there to stop tracking personal info to prevent privacy.
And in India sply privacy is high concern
i used to buy a return toll ticket which used to be cheaper compared to two single toll tickets. In RFID we wont have that facility as per my understanding. Being a private owner , i dont find it much useful. in fact it will cost me more. 500 bucks to buy it from bank and then running cost.
Sir, aapke sab disadvantage i agree... except 1. Cash should b penalise for using in fastag lane bcus evn i have a fastag and i have to stand in q as same as other lane, people give cash in fasttag lane, so wt d use to take fasttag if my time is not saving
