Yes, Georgetown is beautiful and has a long history. M Street was where the slave trading post was located, actually, blacks actually lived in Georgetown many years ago. The Potomac River is very close by, so hence the ships bringing slaves.

I am glad you are taking a virtual tour while you are away. I did see a few Georgetown students in the area. Did they only accept a limited number of students for in-person classes?
@@WalkRideFly Yeah, (undergraduate) students for whom it would have been unreasonably difficult to return home (eg a friend of mine from Zimbabwe) or students that would have been at greater risk of infection had they returned home were allowed to stay. Also, I know that a lot of graduate students or particularly wealthy/independent undergraduate students pay for off-campus housing anyway.
