My dad is from North Carolina and took my mom to the Angus Barn where they ate this chess pie!! My mom loved it so much that she called the restaurant and got the recipe from them. Love and best dishes would be a good title. I could listen to Paula talk and laugh all day. In the last two years I have spend around 4 1/2 months in Georgia in the Jesup area. I love the people I met there and they are so loving. I was helping my aunt and uncle through some illness and I love the accent from Georgia folks and the area. Love ya Paula.

Since your videos are so casual and comforting and if feels like we're all just friends visiting as you cook, I think of where I would sit in such a situation, so how about renaming it Paula's Kitchen Table.
When "they" first started criticizing the butter and ingredients vs healthy eating. Shame that her celebrity fans and more public didnt speak up. OF COURSE many recipes weren't "healthy" dishes. But that s what I loved about her show. My kids would watch and say remember when mom made that for us before she went to work when we were kids. And I would enjoy every minute watching her make something I now never eat. And healthy active people can easily enjoy a guilty dish now and then. She was different than the rest more down to earth real and fun than any other "country" cook show out there. I love that I found her on you tube.❤❤❤ I can't tell you how many people who can't or don't get to cook any more truly enjoy these videos.

Being originally from Nashville, Chess Pie is a family favorite! Here in Ohio, and before that in Boston, no one we knew had heard of it. Our Chess Pie recipe doesn't have corn meal, but looking at recipes, I see that many do. My vote is for "Love and Best Dishes with Paula Deen"
Chocolate Chess Pie (Stacy’s) 1 1/2 sticks butter 1 1/2 oz unsweetened chocolate 1/2 cup chocolate chips *. Melt together in double boiler 3 eggs in mixing bowl 1 cup sugar (add more to taste) 1/4 cup white karo syrup *Mix eggs, sugar & syrup together x add 1 tsp vanilla. Add chocolate & butter mixture. *Mix well & pour into prepared unbaked pie crust. Bake in preheated 350 (convection) 375 degree regular oven for 30 minutes uncovered. It should jiggle just a tiny bit. Note: I hope these amounts are correct. I wrote this as I was watching.

Here is a Tator tot casserole recipe 1 bag bag tator tots 1 can cheese soup 1can nacho cheese soup 1 lb hamburger 1 can green beans Directions Heat oven 350 Brown hamburger and take out grease mix all ingredients once mixed put into baking dish that is greased once in put in oven for 1 hour Jody from Minnesota
Way better cooking shows than produced ones on tv, though those are great too. I also appreciate that you are working in a gourmet kitchen and a less than gourmet kitchen as it encourages us to work with what we have. Also love that your family and friends, and dogs, come through. I think name of your show would be aptly named using some version of “come on over,” as that’s what it feels like!

Love and best dishes would be a good title. I could listen to Paula talk and laugh all day. In the last two years I have spend around 4 1/2 months in Georgia in the Jesup area. I love the people I met there and they are so loving. I was helping my aunt and uncle through some illness and I love the accent from Georgia folks and the area. Love ya Paula.
I love watching these "quarantine" cooking shows! It's been a bright spot for me in this very dark world!! You don't have to "gussy up" for us. Just do some cookin' and talk to us! This beats a tv production any old day! 😉

I am very glad you will keep posting utube videos. I love that you are doing this from your home. Its all so relaxed and informal. Dogs barking, phone ringing, grandkids coming in and out, Bobby and Jamie dropping in, etc. Just like most homes! Name it what suits you Paula...but just keep the videos coming plz. Love your interactions with Eddie and Theresa too. Just a big happy family atmosphere there. 💕💕💕
Just love chess pie and this one looks great, Paula. I love the way you scrape your bowls so clean and use a spatula so well. SO many of these cooking shows have people who don’t use them...or use a spoon and leave half the batter in the bowl! It drives me nuts. Your the best!

Since your videos are so casual and comforting and if feels like we're all just friends visiting as you cook, I think of where I would sit in such a situation, so how about renaming it Paula's Kitchen Table.
When "they" first started criticizing the butter and ingredients vs healthy eating. Shame that her celebrity fans and more public didnt speak up. OF COURSE many recipes weren't "healthy" dishes. But that s what I loved about her show. My kids would watch and say remember when mom made that for us before she went to work when we were kids. And I would enjoy every minute watching her make something I now never eat. And healthy active people can easily enjoy a guilty dish now and then. She was different than the rest more down to earth real and fun than any other "country" cook show out there. I love that I found her on you tube.❤❤❤ I can't tell you how many people who can't or don't get to cook any more truly enjoy these videos.

Being originally from Nashville, Chess Pie is a family favorite! Here in Ohio, and before that in Boston, no one we knew had heard of it. Our Chess Pie recipe doesn't have corn meal, but looking at recipes, I see that many do. My vote is for "Love and Best Dishes with Paula Deen"
We are all tired of the quarantine. But because of our age we will have to continue to be careful. You can call it Paula’s comfort cooking!
Chocolate Chess Pie (Stacy’s)
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/2 oz unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup chocolate chips
*. Melt together in double boiler
3 eggs in mixing bowl
1 cup sugar (add more to taste)
1/4 cup white karo syrup
*Mix eggs, sugar & syrup together x add 1 tsp vanilla. Add chocolate & butter mixture.
*Mix well & pour into prepared unbaked pie crust. Bake in preheated 350 (convection) 375 degree regular oven for 30 minutes uncovered.
It should jiggle just a tiny bit.
Note: I hope these amounts are correct. I wrote this as I was watching.

Here is a Tator tot casserole recipe
1 bag bag tator tots
1 can cheese soup
1can nacho cheese soup
1 lb hamburger
1 can green beans
Directions
Heat oven 350
Brown hamburger and take out grease
mix all ingredients once mixed
put into baking dish that is greased
once in put in oven for 1 hour

I also appreciate that you are working in a gourmet kitchen and a less than gourmet kitchen as it encourages us to work with what we have. Also love that your family and friends, and dogs, come through. I think name of your show would be aptly named using some version of “come on over,” as that’s what it feels like!
