I agree with you. I've tried reading manga because I just couldn't wait for the anime adaptation and it actually diminished (ever-so-slightly) my enjoyment when the anime came out. Happened with JJK actually. I don't know if I'm just not a manga guy, but I currently think reading the manga is officially spoiling yourself the anime, although I know people who read manga but don't watch anime. Weirdos those fellows. Then again, where does an anime like Blue Lock fall into all this? Because at least this second season it really is just a colored manga with some eye or mouth movements lol Either way, great video bro. And I counted two times the headphones disappeared lol those where some good magic tricks. And the new mic sounds great!
Thought i was the only one that has that conflicted feeling of regret when an anime starts adapting the bits you caught up on. Like you said enjoyment is slightly diminished and with jjk shibuya I got kinda jealous of the anime onlys. Then I understood why most manga readers have that superiority complex it’s all s coping mechanism lol to the point it becomes their whole identity. I only really feel a type of way when the anime catches up years later but in the moment I don’t regret it one bit I don’t think you or i are that down bad yet pal
I love these takes. For me, it works remembering what I felt when I watched a new episode on TV when I was a child. It was the best time ever... that feeling makes it easier to wait for the anime to catch up. Thank you for sharing, and for watching the video!
Twice, your headphones appear and disappear twice! Also, manga readers and anime watchers (just as book readers and movie watchers) should learn to appretiate both forms of expression as separate things, some titles are better to read in the manga while others have genuinely georgious animation. There's also this golden moment when the manga explanations are reflected in a subtle way in the anime that just makes reading AND watching the same title something of a complete experience.

I can relate to the manga snob to a point. I don't read manga. But so many shows (the popular ones) just feel like super recycled garbage. Jiujitsu kaisen and demon slayer by far the worst. Whenever someone brings up how cool fast and the furious is, my brain would have to factory reset just so i can agree

Why read or watch *adaptations* when you could be reading the *original* source light novel? 🍷🧐 I jest. I just read my manga and novels because I get the content sooner, it has less obstacles to me getting it easily, and I can go through it at my own pace. I don't feel superior about having the story sooner, and I don't intend to spoil. I'm happy to hear about anime fans being excited about an upcoming plot development.
