The vest is awesome. I used it two days ago during a long bike ride. The camera seemed like it was weightless and very secure. Best of all, I was able to stop, take photos and keep up with the rest of the group.
I should have added that I love the vest, use it almost daily now, and have taken to carrying both of my cameras. It's wonderful. I still carry a backpack with extras, but this vest takes all the stress off my neck which had become a big problem. This vest is the greatest invention!
I guess im asking randomly but does any of you know a tool to get back into an instagram account? I somehow lost my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
@Samuel Chaim Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
It looks a neat bit of kit. Not something I would use but can see it being very useful for may types of work where you may need two hands free when not shooting.
Nice review and thanks for the reminder - looked at these a couple of weeks ago. Just ordered a Slingbelt and a couple of add ons! Looking forward to giving them a go!
Great quick review, I managed to pick up the older model and the quality feels great. Who in the UK supply's them? I'm looking to get the safety strap but can't seem to find much info on it.
Thanks for this and I might look into it for myself as I am very partially sighted 😎. Using a white cane in one hand to get around means that I have to use a padded neck strap, or a hand strap when doing studio shoots. Using the white cane means the vibration from our wonderful pavements goes right into the shoulder and causes pain overtime.
Thank you for the informative video on the Cotton Carrier G3. Have you had experience using it for indoor events like corporate gatherings or runway fashion shows? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
I see that you have put the mounting hub on your lens, not the camera! Clever. That had not occurred to me. Can you still mount on the tripod without removing the hub?
If the lens has a mount on it, I've always used that as the weight of the lens can sometimes damage the mount on the camera, due to its weight. You can leave the hub on and screw the tripod qr plate directly onto the hub, although you do need to remove it again before putting it back on the harness.
I would be using a canon R5 with a 1`00-500mm lens and a canon 90 D as my second camera. Tje 90 D with a 24-70mm lens does not come with a lens collar. Is that a problem?
Hey Eldie, I have been using the very first version of the cotton carrier. When I use a camera with a lens without a collar you put the hub on the bottom of the camera. It's great having 2 cameras, one with a short lens and one with a long lens.
Eldie, I don't see that being a problem. There are a great number of wildlife photographers who use the G3 with long lenses all the time, so you should be fine 🙂
I see you are carrying from the lens foot. How do you then fit it to a tripod, especially with a gimbal head where you need to adjust forward and back?
I rarely use a tripod or monopod nowadays, but when I do, the Cotton CArrier hub has a screw thread on it to allow me to attach a quick release plate to it
This is very interesting, as sometimes the weight on your arms piles up pretty quickly when you walk around shooting... How do you cope with a couple of cameras on your body? can you walk around for a few hours no problem? Also is the safety strap long enough? Thank you for posting this video!
Thanks Enrico, I use this all day long on weddings, and it helps massively. The safety straps are long enough that I can move the camera around freely but not too long that it ends up getting in the way.
The Nicama costs a fraction of what the CC GS3 costs and they look almost the same. The CC surely can't be that much better. When I first picked up mine .. I was like there is no way this costs $179. Unfortunately I did not know about the Nicama at the time or I would have ordered that. The Cotton is a rip off. You are paying for all the advertising (and their profit margin).

How is it with the breast 😄🙈 no joke seriously question.

@Samuel Chaim it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass!
@Iker Asher Happy to help xD

Thanks David, enjoy :)
SInce I use a tripod with RRS clamps and brackets this does not work for me.
Great quick review, I managed to pick up the older model and the quality feels great.

Excellent Kit and review Thank you KSG!

Nice one Kevin looks like a buy cheers for the info .

I use it for most jobs outside the studio, including events & corporate work. As I usually wear black/dark cloths, it blends in really well too
@@ksgphotography thanks! how fast can you take off the camera from the side holster? coz corporate events is somehow fast pace.
Youll see it in real-time about 3 mins 40 seconds into the video :) @MO.Lenswork
@@ksgphotography thank you! Saw it. Just need to practice dismounting & mounting the side camera and get used to it.

whats that raincover pouch for the camera that would be handy for me!
It comes with the G3

It wasnt obvious how you release the cameras. How do you do that?
1m 6s in and I demonstrate. Hope this helps :)
Does harness allow enough room for a Nikon dslr (D800/D500) with a grip or D4s?

@@ksgphotography Thanks for the reply. Yes, that seems to be the only way. I hope one day Cotton will make a longer tripod adaptor plate.

is it hot in summer
Not really. I find that the weight of the cameras pull it away from the body slightly, creating an air channel
@@ksgphotography okay thanks . the quality is awesome . what brand handstap do you use. the cotton handstrap is not so fantastic
@@voederbietels I have a CC one on one body and a paracord one, made by a friend, on the other :)
I would like to see it worn "backpack style". One could rotate a waist belt, and your cameras are right in front of you!
