- This is a video requested by one of my subscribers. Two very different flashlights with different beam profiles - but it's surprising how far the M21H can throw with the XHP70.3. If you're deciding whether you need a thrower or flooder, check out this video.

Hi Darren, Is it possible to swap the reflectors between these two flashlights?
I like the look of the M21H but prefer the beam with the M21H.
If you swapped reflectors, would the beam be comparable?
Thanks for the great reviews.
Hi Andrew, I check and and can't open up the heal of the M21H directly but I can see the lengths of reflector/lens in different so I don't think it will fit. The focusing of the lens is important. The bezel of the M21F is larger. TIR lenses are also used to reduce the length of the bezel / lightm
@DarrenYeoYT do you have any experience replacing the switch on either of these? I have the M21H and the rubber has dislodged and my attempt to push it back in caused the rubber to rip. Now I need a replacement switch, any tips?
Hi mate, no I don't but you can search on Simon's store for a replacement switch or just message him on the store: convoy.aliexpress.com/store/330416
Might have to unscrew the entire head assembly.
Try posting in our group too as someone will probably know: facebook.com/groups/flashlightfanatics
Please review Wurkkos TS11S - it is updated version of TS11.
Which penlight is better - Coast HP3R or Coast PM50R ?
Weird, looks exactly the same? I'll have a read to see what's different.
I'm not sure about penlights sorry. I only own one.
@@DarrenYeoYT Okay bro.
Which thrower with magnetic tailcap would you suggest between Sofirn SC31 Pro and Wurkkos FC11 ?
It would be more usefull if you’ve used the same emitter in both lights. This way is not complete
Yeah I was wondering whether to even do this video or not but it was requested by a viewer. So could only speak generally
I agree. As the 70.3 HI is an option in both. Interesting how the TIR affects the beam vs a reflector. The M21H also has other TIR options to change the beam
@@michaelbowman7398 someone mentioned to me about a 10 degree TIR lens that creates a much thrower beam :D
@@DarrenYeoYT stock is a 12 degree. Simon offers several TIR, even a 3 degree
Hi, Do you believe that the Convoy M21H have the same performance as the AceBeam L35 XHP70.2 but at the half of money?
They'd produce similar amounts of light. But the L35 would still throw an extra 100 or so metres. The M21H is excellent value...
@@DarrenYeoYT Its any noticeable difference between XHP70.3 HI R70, XHP70.3 HI R9050 and GT FC40?
@@DogFishAttack I have no experience with the FC40 but the R70 version of the 70.3HI will produce significantly more lumens.
@@DarrenYeoYT Thanks a lot!
@@DogFishAttackThe GT FC40 will output significantly less light than the XHP70.3 R70, visually about 40 to 50% less output.
Been looking at these. I'm currently using a Nicron N72-UV. It's a brilliant little light with an adjustable head and two emitters, one for normal use and one for UV applications. I got the UV version because I travel, and I wanted to be able to make sure sheets were clean and no bed bugs when staying in motels, hotels and AirBnB.
Ah nice, with UV the 365nm LED works better than 395. Less visible light. Convoy makes various good quality lights, often at the cost of your lunch/dinner.
@@DarrenYeoYT I'm looking at the MAO Convoy S2+ 519A right now. I like the design of it and that it uses 18650's. It's about half off right now.
Not a correct comparison, I have m21f with 70.3 hi and it has a good flood light.
Did I say it didn't have any flood? It definately does but also has surprisingly good throw.
