Thanks for watching!
The emu is thinking why don’t they have to have a diaper on? 😂😂
Bella handles chicks so much better. Her curl r adorable
You guys have grown so much in the over 5 years I have been watching you. Not only has your family and farm grown, but your channel has also grown... Congrats on almost 1.3 million subscribers!
Birds are, for me, the least effort for the most joy😊
Easy for stuff to go wrong during hatching process, but this is wonderful! And you can order all hens, too...love that.
Recreation homestead is only place I get my chicks from! Great family run business! 4 times I got chicks all 4 was 100% survival rate! High quality birds solid and dark legs!!
Thanks Mike
But where are the bloodlines from
@@davidfincher4571that’s a good question to ask if you are getting chicks from someone who just started but we have been breeding a closed flock for over 5 years now so it’s definitely our bloodline at this point. But our first birds came from greenfire and a man named Frank
@@davidfincher4571after 5 years of having a closed flock and turning it over every year I would say it’s our bloodline at this point. But to answer your question our original birds came from greenfire and a man named Frank
You are lucky i am to young I will get ducks emus and chicks when I am older
Isabella has gotten so good at holding the chicks and being careful with them!
Those chicks are adorable, and when they get older they'll be a nice hearty bird.
Lovely chicks for Easter. Look forward to seeing Burt being a dad.
Your kids are living their BEST life! I think it's awesome that they get to work with you every day and enjoy your beautiful animals!!
I love farms
YES! And farmers don't ever get enough credit for feeding us and being such wonderful teachers!
Me to❤
So cute! Hope you get to 2mil. Been watching for a long time, love to see your channel grow with your farm. Always loving your videos they are awesome, I learn so much. Thank you!
The Emu is so cute! The Hmong chickens are so cute, too. I love them already! I can't wait to see how they grow!
Will be interesting to see your experience with these multi-purpose chickens. They're a big topic when it comes to egg farming in Europe as it's not allowed to kill male chicks anymore. They have to raise the males, too, which is why farmers are looking more into these breeds now.
Also can't wait for all of the emu eggs to be done! 💜
Actually that law is the reason why you are finding more sex linked breeds on the market. They shine a laser into the egg and based off the color they determine if it is male or female, the males are separated and removed from the incubation process. There are a lot of very interesting animal rights laws over in Europe thou and a lot of great tech has come about to ensure the comfort and happiness of animals over there.
Such beautiful feathered babies.
These chicks are adorable! The baby Emu is everything!
Love this, cant wait to be able to purchase an incubator for our own eggs to hatch and some quails
You're so lucky to have gotten so many different looking Hmong chicks!!! Absolutely beautiful looking 💕💕
I love how the emu just follows you around and doesn't need the extra heat, it's like a little shadow
I am enjoying my American Bresse chickens from Recreational Homestead!
Thank you for all your support over the years
I'm glad the little emu is happy living with the chicks and isn't eating their toes. And I hope he has some siblings soon. Or at least one to grow up with. Hopefully, two or three. It's probably too much to ask for all of them.
Yay! My favorite channel of all time! Thank you precious family for sharing your beautiful life with us. I am an elderly farm girl living in town now but my heart is back on the farm. It means so much to me that you share with us. God bless you in every way.
So much peeping! Adorable.
Hopefully the emu will get siblings!
Be so, soo careful. My local (well established & well run) farm had a heat lamp set ITSELF alight and their entire barn burnt down, without going into graphic detail, it was the Lamb & Goat barn… 💔
I guess that's one way to make a smoker..
Hope it wasn't to dry, sounds like a lot of BBQ sauce..😅
@@InconspicuousOwlNot very funny
@@Zach-rc2xj i know i know my bad 😅
:(
I also just got some new checks to a couple of days 🎉
I love your videos I want to be like you when I grow up
Here’s a lil about me
I live in a farm just like yours
I have my own small chicken and ducks etc business and my favorite videos you do are when you try new incubators and do a review on them.
I enjoy every one of your videos. They always fill my heart with happiness. So much fun watching your family and farm grow. Thanks!!!
Chase at Recreational Homestead sells awesome Breese chicks.
Great family run business.
I have 21 chicks from Chase that I'm tracking the weights on and at 13 weeks of age they are averaging 4.7 pounds with the Largest Rooster at 6lbs 8.8ozs and the largest Hen at 4lbs 5.6ozs.
Love you, Papaw! ❤

Thanks for take the time to get that great data
Been fun and exciting.

Just ask Google what the best tasting chicken in the world is.
Now you have it. You will like this bloodline from Recreational Homestead.

I waited for 1 month i always watch your vidios it super cool and i appericiate your efforts! to keep us entertain
Awesome video 👍🏼
Haven't updated on the bees in a very long time
Cant for an update on your Hmong chickens! 😊
Actually your environment for the chicks are far better than many years ago, when I'm a child and the chicks are crowded in a box selling for a few bucks, and end up in someone's home without a nice warm place, usually die without fully growing up.
I have 2 flocks of bresse chickens from different hatcheries than you got yours from. Once you get rolling with those, I would love to swap some chick's with you to diversify the bloodlines.
Good show as always thank you kindly.
Em wAtching u from Pakistan 🇵🇰 love your videos it’s nyc to see how u grow day by day looking forward for more God bless your family ❤
So enjoy watching your videos & love the chickens ❤😊

Hey!
First time ever commenting on a TH-camrs channel!
I’ve been watching your videos for a month now, just want to show some love!
I am also Hmong and I’ve never been able to find any Hmong person with Hmong Chickens. If you do ever happen to sell any chicks or eggs, I’m very interested!
Keep up the great work! Will see you on the next video!
I really like ❤ your videos from Gambia
Hi! I just started watching your channel… I’ve been looking for better entertainment than tv programming. You put together a friendly, relaxed, enjoyable and informative video! I can see a lot of others agree. I look forward to going back through your previous posts and to new content.
Still so young and the baby emu is already picking up chicks!😂
I have a Emu and it lives in the house with us. We are trying to get it used to being outside but it hates outdoors. He’s name is Will ❤
Just got a bunch of Mystic Onyx chicks, loving this breed.
My wife just hatched 4 so I’ll be watching
I was wondering which of the blonde emus is the younger one, because the younger one had hatched on my birthday! Does anybody know??? Also I really hope more Emus hatch!!!

I'm so glad you got some Bresse chicks! I've been doing research since last year and I still haven't pulled the trigger to get them. I'm excited to see what you think!
They need to add hardy to the box lol❤
Very nice, can't wait for more to come. Watching as i may start my own as the cities are getting nuts.
So cool❤❤
I heard Missouri had 4000 plus acre fire people in Rolla died 4 as i know
Lord Jesus comfort those families who lost love ones during that fire. Help them find peace in knowing you are always there to comfort and heal them through the tough times. Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercy. Amen amen.😊❤
How lovely they are🤗🤗💕🥰🥰
It was a nice three video binge, and caught up now.
@whitehouseonthehill thank you for a great video we can’t wait to see what you do with your new sustainable meat birds
Fun music. ❤
I went to the website to see about ordering Breese chickens and the price is crazy $20.00 each and $65.00 shipping. There are several other breeders that are cheaper.
I love the new emu chick can't wait to see the gender on the cutie
I have chicken’s at home there all 3month old 3 more months until they lay eggs
I love that you guys have hmong chickens. Proud hmong here❤️
Good morning sir 😊🌞
Those chicks seem louder than the others I have seen on here. I wonder if that is a talkative breed or something. 😊❤😂
I love you all's videos I love your farm I would love to come visit sometime I don't live far I live in Colorado but like always love your videos much love Denver Colorado
I just ordered my hatching eggs for meatchickens which are i think Cornish Cross(and Isa Browns)and I can't wait! I also know how to butcher them...😅😂 So yeah lots of work ahead😅
You look SO much like the man from the channel better together homestead!
Thanks for the update! 🥰
Any ideas on names for the baby emu? 🥹
Have you ever thought of making capon out of your extra roosters
Cute video.
Hi I’m 12 and I have been subscribed to your channel for over 3 years now I love your content you guys inspired me to start my own flock/farm( 56 layers 20 meat chickens 6 meat turkeys 1 rabbit 2 cats and 9 guinea hens) I have started to hatch chicks this year with the keboniks incubator you guys did a review on it. so far I’ve hatched 8 chicks( cross breeds) but I came across a problem and I’m wondering if you can help me none of the eggs hatch on their own and I don’t understand why humidity is at 65-70 and the temperature at 99.5 and I don’t understand why there having a hard time getting out.
Last few days you stop turning the eggs and raise humidity to 75%. You will have success. Keep trying.
I have bresse! I have 8 that stay for my breeding. The rest are food. I’ve never had nicer roosters though to be honest. They’re hearty, big boys but they’re nice :)
Cool❤
Great
Cutee🥰🥰
Did you decide on a name for the emu chick yet? I am glad he she seemed content with the chicks. It's going to be good practice for him when his siblings arrive. Speaking optimistically of course!
I’m really happy she has learned how to handle the chicks but we all know it takes time and patience with children that’s why we love them and have you thought of some possible names for the emmu
0:45
do you usually leave the eggs in the incubator after hatch or do you take them out?
So cool
omggg baby emuuu time 🥹❤️
you can name the emu Bloe! :)
Fun fact: Chickens can interbreed to the 5th generation. ❤
