Cohen is not looking at the jury because he's a lawyer and knows that's a bad tactic and considered a "no no" in jury trials. It makes it look like you are pandering to the jury or possibly trying to intimidate them. Many juries have commented after trials that a witness or defendant looking directly at them when talking was seen by them as "creepy" and "disingenuous" like they were being stared down to see if they are "buying the story". Looking at who is questioning you and answering their questions while treating the jury as just a fly on the wall listening pretending they are not even there has been proven to be the best tactic in court.

It is common knowledge that Cohen has become adversarial toward Trump since he was ordered into solitary confinement during covid by Trump's DOJ. So it makes sense for him to appear serious in responding directly to the questioner, not "playing to the jury" in a way that would appear biased. I was afraid Cohen would spin out of control on the stand, but am so far happy with his demeanor.
What is she talking about? I was on a jury, and the witnesses NEVER looked at us. I think it would be weird if they were staring at us while answering questions. They're responding to questions that the attorneys asked, so naturally they would be looking at them.

Really depends on the witness. If you watch live court proceedings (or you have experience in court - more than just once as a juror), you'll see that some witnesses look at and testify TO the jury. Amber Heard, for example, was one.

Yes, I've worked dozens of federal jury trials, and witnesses do not ordinarily look at the jury. Making prolonged eye contact would be really awkward.

Obviously trump is going to lose this trial. He will then appeal the verdict and use stalling motions. Therefore besides the recommended incarceration he should also be fined in the millions, an amount he'll have to put up in escrow or surity bonds in order to proceed to appellate court.
Trump knows he is guilty in all of his criminal trails, why do you think he keeps delaying every trial?
This is a criminal trial. If found guilty, he'll be sent directly to prison. He'll have to do his appeals behind bars with his lawyers visiting him in prison. It's not a civil case so he's not going to be liable for any damages. If anyone wants to hold Trump liable as you have suggested, they'll have to file lawsuits in civil court for that to be considered.
