I had the great fortune of working just above the main museum lobby here for 3 years in sales and customer service. Any day could bring a unique experience...one day I returned from lunch and met Buck O'Neill in the lobby. Another time a signed picture of Tony Gwynn holding his 6 silver slugger awards was tossed in front of me - only to turn around and see Mr. Gwynn holding a handful of them. Baseball history was around us all day every day and I distinctly remember hearing the announcement of Bobby Thompson's home run about 100 times a day.
Great tour, Tom,,,,,!!!!! I have hauled many loads of Ash and Maple that ended up at the plate of a Major League game,,,,,!!!! We also hauled the kiln dowels from North Central Pa to the Bat plant,,,,,!!!! The bats were made in Jeffersonville Indiana for a long time but now are made in Louisville,,,,,!!!! Thanks for sharing,,,,,

Not enough there to spend the entire day. Its not the Hall of Fame, Tour is about 30 mins, museum isnt anything special and very small. You can finish the entire place in 90 mins or less, unless you spend time in the gift shop or their very underwhelming batting cage area.

When I was in high school there was a girl with the nickname "slugger" since she allegedly "sat on" a louisville slugger at a party.
Museum sucks now. They got rid of a lot of great employees when covid hit. Did a lot of unethical things the last 2 to 3 years.
