I love my Nissan / Datsun Sunny Truck but there is one thing that has "bothered" me a bit since I first started it when it landed in America. The sound! it is too quiet!! I like some noise and so does my son, so the 2 of us tackle getting the massive exhaust system off of this tiny truck!! we also chart a path forward for things this truck needs.. including a blown head gasket possibly? ugh...

Hey Steve I think it needs an exhaust or an actual straight pipe like the boso cars, it doesn’t have to be outrageous like most of the bosozoku cars. But I REALLY LIKE THE TRUCK! Glad you’re bringing some cool boso to the us streets.

触媒ストレート付いてるので日本では車検通りませんね。
音の変化がほしいならエキマニからステンかチタンにすると響きが変わると思います。
小さいタイコ（消音）に変えるだけでもかなり換わると思います。

I say have muffler shop cut that big one and weld pipe on. keep the second muffler(most likely resonator) and see how that sound. it probably not too loud but it would sounds better.

After the internal regulated alternator came out on the 620 trucks of the 70's. The slightest ark would blow a capacitor in the alternator.
On newer cars you run the risk of it frying a resistor or capacitor inside of a sensor. I'm telling you all this because of what I witnessed when you hooked up the Sunny Truck in this video. Please, please, please, please don't make those mistakes. It can lead you down a long list of potential problems, specially with newer cars.

スティーブさん、昔の車に電動ファンはありませんよ。ラジエーターの後ろにエンジン直結のファンが付いてるはずなんですが・・・・。なければ自作ですね。
