Reading fan here. I felt exactly the same as you did few months back. In my mind we were defo going down no question but it’s funny how a few results change it all. You have plenty of time. As a Reading fan I think I can say we are all surprised at the turn around. We aren't safe yet though either mate!

I was a bit shocked to see that Charlton had only won 7 times this season. Any club who goes through 3 managers in a season is not a happy ship. However, Nathan Jones is a very manager and a bit of coup, but there is a lot to sort out. I don't think our keeper had to do much to keep a clean sheet, bar one save at the end.
Alfie May looked very isolated and it feels like a player that thrives on service, he has scored a number goals this season but we cut of that service today. I was speaking to a couple of Charlton fans before the game, and I know the battle you had with the Belgian owner, so thanks for the support.

We’re struggling to create chances let alone score goals, we’re playing a formation that doesn’t suit the players we have. We’ve sold our two best players in January, in other words, forced our two best players out of the club. It’s horrendous atm, hopefully things turn quickly.

Nick the Oracle. Bang on. Reading were decent but like Derby capitalised on mistakes. I'm gradually starting to conceptualise what relegation might look like. Even after relegation from the prem in '07 I'd NEVER have imagined that we could ever end up in the fourth tier. But, as you say, it's no longer a remote possibility - it's the football equivalent of (in the immortal words of Jack Nicholson) "Here's Johny!".

Not a Charlton’s fan but Charlton’s won’t be going down. Although you’re on poor form, once you get a couple wins under your belt it will burton, Shrewsbury, port vale fighting it out.
