Wow this is A perfect comparison i enjoyed it. and i also guess you set the master eq's to exact same parameters too which is best. Great Job man. Keep them coming. Now for another test like this let;s for axample take Discohands from the psr s975 and load it into the genos and try intro3 and ending 3. That;s my sugggestion to test the preset factory voices. I look for more to come.
I like the Genos because it's got lots of great rhythm styles. I don't have a Genos, but I've listened to it on TH-cam. I've heard a guy on TH-cam show off all the rhythm styles, and some day I hope to get one. For now, I have a Casio CTX 5000. It's kind of like a Genos, but the son of the Genos I'd say. The Genos is the Father. The PSRS 970 is the Mother, maybe. In your video, everything sounded the same! Good video!
I will stay with PSR... I can play around with effects and it should sound just like Genos..I don’t need touch screen... thank you for put this clip up..
This is very useful video as I'm hoping to next year buy a more up to date Yamaha arranger keyboard to replace my PSR-295. It's good to know you can get decent quality saxophones on the PSR-S series. The only obvious difference is the snare drum, on the Genos there is slight variation in each hit. I mainly do sequencing and recognize the saxophone as Halion 6 uses some of these samples but as my computer is starting to play up I think I should consider having these sounds in hardware form. I quite like the PSR-SX900 as it's all black even though the buttons are rubber. Another advantage the PSR-S/SX series keyboards have is the fact they are lighter and more compact compared to the Tyros and Genos which is something I might want to bear in mind as I tend to move my keyboard on a regular basis. As long as it sounds as good as Halion 6 or slightly better then that's the main thing and whatever I choose will still sound way better than my PSR-295.
Genos does alternate between snare hits, however this is not always obvious and it works only with factory REVO drum kits. In this presentation it was all about our packs and the fact that they sound identical on different Yamaha arrangers, which answers the common question whether our packs sound the same no matter the keyboard we used for the presentation. There is absolutely no difference which keyboard is used, our packs sound exactly the same as we always use our sampled instruments and drum kits so every difference between different model is negated by this. Genos or SX600, our packs will sound identical.
Both arrangers sounds good, but with Genos you can make sound sounds better, so, you did only a "flat" sound... We all look for what can help us make sound better. The same video can be done with Korg Pa4X and PA1000, too... What is different there?! MAXX Audio! Here, the same! Inserts effects could make sound better on Genos... So, I'm for Genos 100%!
Yes, with Genos you can use more DSP effects simultaneously, however it has the same limitation as PSR and Tyros: registration memory remembers only one DSP effect tweaks, the last one touched, also there is no way of chaining effects so basically this limitation renders all those effects useless in many situations. Effect tweaks can be saved as user preset, but this is unusable because there is no way of sharing just one user preset but only entire bank, which deletes previous presets. Also there is only 10 user presets available, which is not enough even for Tyros and PSR. But as I said in this video, everyone should choose whatever he or her want so this is very personal. This video is not about Genos vs PSR, but to show that our packages sounds exactly the same with both keyboards. It is very important for our customers to understand that price difference is not in sound quality but with more periferals available in more expensive instrument. Thanks for commenting.
@@DynamixAudio We hope after those 2 days of waiting, till new 1.4 OS version will be released (28.06.2019), those problems about Registration Memory issue will be solved. BTW, assigning multiple DSP on the same channel in style is available in this moment. Yes, there are some problems on remember edited settings, but you can chain effects as many as it is possible on available slots. I use this right now on my styles. Regards, Vali
We all hope, but there is little chance Yamaha will make changes to how Registration works. I hope I am wrong about this. You can use multiple DSP effects of course, but you are not able to chain the effects, and this makes multiple effects unusable in many situations because many times you will need to chain them to achieve desired sound.
Le Psr 970 est tout aussi bon ,si l'on met de nouveaux packs(styles and voices),et l'on peut créer de nouvelles sonorités et styles soi-même ,pour obtenir un clavier ultra performant .🎹🔊.
please guys can you help me out which keyboard do yo think is better to buy for a church psr s975 or psr sx900 i'm confuse honestly i like the psr s975 shape the buttons around it, but psr sx900 has more function
Both will be sufficient. Very similar keyboards, the same sound quality, better keyboard on SX, little bit more memory, touch screen and joystick pitch bender. I personally would always take more affordable S975 and invest the difference in pro sampled instruments and drum kits, or church organ in your case.
Yes i choose my yamaha psr s975 and i check with Genus but only bass Speaker is better yamaha psr s975 all drum or kit best change when u play song using Rhytem🥰🥰🥰🥰 i love my yamaha psr s 975.. also ill try using Genus but it is i only say bettter yamaha psr s975

Got a genos 3 weeks ago. I was fearful. So expensive! Best money I ever spent. I m in love with it !
Super demo
Looking forward for a PSR SX900 demo of power drums or modern drums, modern base, power piano.
No need for that, SX-900 is still the same as Tyros, Genos, or any other PSR.

I am 100% a gree with you, play it good and perfectly, than a sound simple swinging!
Oh yes!
I hope for one of next video about new Yamaha arranger PSR SX 900 and your opinion about this product.
I hope as well. As soon as one arrives we will make the video.
Is it Genos at 5:36, and SX starts at 5:45? The electric guitar in Style is different, or at least the effect on it, the distortion or the amp ...
Wrong.
I have yamaha psr s975 but i love it🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
This is actually a little concerning for someone interested in getting the Genos...
Same sounds i love both
What about the vocal harmonizer?
What about it?

Very nice, for me sounds both keys equal, thanks for sharing.
Low frequencies on Genos have more punch with more amplitude
If so then you should be able to hear the exact times when I did the switch in the blind test. Please share the exact times with us.
No difference at all
