    With so many more disposable quality boots I’ve been issued through 3 decades of special operations service I wish I had known of Nicks. I don’t own a pair yet but I fully intend to get into a pair. There has been a greater push in our community to run more athletically designed boots geared toward hiking vs more traditional combat boots due to the more extreme loads we carry and the extreme distances over rugged terrain. Nicks looks like a full spectrum approach to foot wear.

      I wish they used the Thurman 55 last though. I'd like arch support.

      In the 365 MTO you can get everything the Gamebreaker has plus get it in a Thurmond55 last or Standard 55 last using the Unit Lug outsole, but alas w/out the LTT@@stevenkelby2169

    What leather are each of those shown in here? I need a pair of the game breakers in the full 67 brown leather. Need to figure out sizing tho. I wear a 10.5 in thorogoor mic toes but they are just a bit snug and my toes can't move at all while hunting or working and they hurt like hell by the end of the day. So a half size up to an 11 would probably be wise, but yea. I'm ready for some custom boots that fit me properly. Skinny feet long toes that do like to splat out both big toes were broken and don't have proper mobility. I'll have to measure my feet tonight and print the cutout.

    • @InGrindWeCrust2010
      @InGrindWeCrust2010 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe a wider size? Nick's has a self-sizing thingy you can print out and use that is pretty reliable...

    • @Hustler_state
      @Hustler_state ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@InGrindWeCrust2010 possibly. I doubt it tho? I've measured them out with their fit guide. They fall into normal fitting but a size smaller than my thorogoods or redwings or Jordans for that matter. I do a ton of walking hunting in the woods here in North central MN and as long as my toes aren't being scrunched from the sides my big toes are happy. They don't need to splay out fully, but they generally need to be able to wiggle around. I will say most my boots are moc toe and that takes more material off the top , also have a pair of Irish setter elk trackers that aren't moc toe and those are nice for hunting and hiking in wet and snow as well. I assume not mic toe 10s would be really similar in toe space those are

    • @InGrindWeCrust2010
      @InGrindWeCrust2010 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Hustler_state I would give them a phone call to ask. It's rare for your Nick's size to be that much shorter than your Thorogood size without the width increasing significantly, e.g. to EEE or F or something.
      I love my Thorogoods but I have splayed toes and really don't like the way the small toe side cuts in a bit. I ordered boots on a Munson last for my next build.

    • @Hustler_state
      @Hustler_state ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@InGrindWeCrust2010 I will have to. Idk, I'm a 6ft guy 180lbs, mostly skinny feet just have a lot of toes. I don't want to add extra width in the heal or sides, just got to make sure I have the toe room. And according to their size chart it's what says. But yea I've def reached out via socials as well just to chat. Been sizing jks as well, and it's essentially the same thing overall. Just a size smaller overall but "standard" width. I'll have em send me a try on pair first more than likely. Just seems silly to not. I'm not looking to spend 600bucks and not have them fit properly the 1st time. Maybe when I was younger I'd tolerate it, but at 43 my feet deserve better. Lol

    Im fuzzled that they keep releasing new boots when they cant make the old ones. Im on week 30 of a pair of Nicks with no boots in sight. So any other boots that are comparative and cheaper. I regret ever placing the order. Maybe work on improving production instead of releasing new boots that will have a ridiculous lead time? Good luck getting a pair of these until at least 2024!

    • @EscapedTexan
      @EscapedTexan ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Did you check the lead times before you ordered?

    • @johngalt1040
      @johngalt1040 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course not! I thought they would overnight them. When you say 18-35 weeks, what you really mean is when we get ready. Point being, Nicks should focus on production and process instead of coming up with more boot options that they cant make. Im guessing the variability is their issue. Adding more options only compounds that. @@EscapedTexan

      @johngalt1040 that's kind of your issue than. if you order online you should know to look at such things and double check. Them being a smaller company, top quality and durability. you should expect things to be differently especially with all their widths, lengths and height options. the long lead times are all over their site.
