is it just me or is womens lifting better than men's ? i am the most amateur of amateurs but when observing technique and trying to learn something women are the way to go.... who thinks the same ?
Always love watching Pyrros reacting to his lifters. Hes so animated, excited, and nervous for them and he gets so hyped when they make a lift. A friggin legend

Ok, IWF and TV crew: seriously, something needs to be done with making the board of competitors and results in progress make sense. There appears to be no rhyme or reason to how the lifters are ordered. How about ordering the lifters so it's easy to tell who is in the lead based on 1) current highest snatch made, then 2) current highest total made, and maybe color code the 1-3 best made snatch and C+J so we at home can easily figure this out without having to go hunting for all the results and try to remember who did what in what order! We live in modern technological times, people! It can be done, and easily!
They weigh as much as I do and I‘m nowhere near the weights they are lifting, it‘s crazy what can be achieved through hard work.

Competition level in current 76 is low. Look at the numbers from old 75 category before 2018, Sara wouldnt even medal with her 261 total in many cases.

all those beautiful heavy lifter ladies are tough. and very strong. body wise and mentally. the team coaches give them all encouraging pats on their backs which are enduring workouts in themselves. love watching these sports great inspiration. thank you beautiful team/ladies.

Can anyone explain why the 71kg ladies were posting much bigger numbers than this 76kg group?
The -71kg cateogry is an Olympic category whereas the -76s isn't, so the level of competition is slightly lower here. The top athletes at 76 will likely move up to the Olympic -81kg category soon.

The damage to my hand skin from snatching was significant. The skin between my thumb and forefinger was wrecked, all cracked and discolored because of high-volume snatching.
One cannot find any cracks - in the lifts, of course.

You know, I'm not sure how one achieves a negative bodyweight, but it's super impressive. I probably would have thought this was the under 76 kg class not the negative 76kg class. ;)

Recently I've been watching news about transwomen competing in women's sport and it's sad and i saw from the news that transwomen/men are now not allowed to compete in women/mens sport. It's good new.
Imagine the difference in Male 73kg category the is 192kg, in women 137kg. Imagine the huge difference.
