This is awesome, thanks! NOBODY is covering the Dali anymore so anything you can provide is much appreciated. Especially once they start cleaning up and repairing the bow.
Thanks for the coverage of the Dali unloading, and the clear images of the process. Will the bridge debris be removed there, or will the ship be moved again for the removal of the concrete?
The saga continues with this ship... As we were initially told each container's shippers (insurance wise) were also apparently responsible for some of the damages caused by this boats demise.. So it will be interesting to learn if these goods can/will be released & on their way to their intended receivers....Or are they still being held as collateral ??
The containers will not be released, as they have requested 50% of the value of the goods on board the ship as insurance until the amount of the salvage loss is determined...and this amount is impossible to pay.
Me too. I have some shorts and videos on my channel from boating by. Someone asked me about drone shots and I had the same thought as you. I figured the Navy would shoot down a drone within seconds! I hope you will check out my coverage as well! And heck, why not like, subscribe and comment while you are there.
Thing has been sitting for over a month since being removed from the bridge area & there's still debris all over the bow! Not doing a very good job of cleanup!
The forward ballast tanks on the starboard side have been damaged during the collision. The debris will probably remain as ballast for stability for her next move. The ship will need multiple rebalancing as the containers are removed. A light container vessel is very unstable at sea. 🇺🇸⚓️
Those are "straddle carriers" - they move cargo containers singly or in short stacks around the yards after they are off the ship. They are only tiny in comparison with the ships
I wonder how much cargo, loaded elsewhere on Dali, has been damaged by sitting idle for a couple of months or possibly from shifting from the sudden stop at the FSK bridge?
@dkputnam96 i am putting together a video of the story of the dali, the bridge collapse and the rebuild. i would love to use a portion of your video in mine. i would of course give you credit. is that ok?
Great video! Would you mind if I use part of your video? I have almost 800 subscribers and thousands of viewers. I would give you credit for it which would hlp to boost your channel a lot.

thanks give us more
Thanks for the video I was not sure if there was a restriction on drone flying because of the close naval base.

would be interesting to see how many if any containers left on the ship. caroline from uk.
Wonder how bad some of those containers smell if they have perishable items in them

Great!!
Won't there be containers below the main deck? Should be a lot of them down in the hull.
It is nice to see the removal and delivery of the containers. What is the purpose of the “ant” sized fork lift type vehicles?

From that footage they are taking the stern containers off. I presume that the insurance now owns them?
Nope...containers are usually packed per destination so they are likley being removed to be stored in that sequence

DJI Mavic 2 pro
@@dkputnam96 i am looking at getting one but a bit worried about hte possible DJI ban
@@dkputnam96 do you have the smart controller?
@@MABPhotoMedia I don’t think so. I got the drone just as that one came available. Have to use my phone to connect the controller to operate

HOw about using the drone to get in closer and take proper 4k images.
Apparently the Navy has some interests in that area so there are flight restrictions
