You figured out exactly what the white out is. Yet, it's hard to explain and convey to someone else if they are not there themselves. It's MORE than just the game. I was at the 2016 white out when Penn State beat Ohio State.
I’m in that boat. I sat by some Auburn fans and even ate my lunch with some. Most everyone was very nice and respectful on both sides. It was a good game between two good teams. I’m pulling for Auburn the rest of the season
If you though 2021 was nuts, the OG whiteout in 2005 was louder, and crazier. Anyone who had the privilege of being there in 2005 will attest to the energy in the air. Not a single seat was filled the entire game, because not one person sat down. Josh, we were chanting and carrying on like the team was coming from the tunnel when they would take TV timeouts. We ended up beating OSU 17-10 and storming the field. I still have that same chunk of field in a glass jar 16 years later. It was the greatest sporting event ever in my life.
Hi Josh I’m a big PSU fan who goes to all the games. I’m so happy you had a great time at the White Out Saturday. I don’t have Instagram or Twitter but would really love to see your extra footage from the PSU game. I don’t know if it’s possible to put it on Utube but would really love to see it! WE ARE….💙🤍🏈🦁
Listen..all due respect.. do not come if you are not coming to participate! You come and bring your passion, your love, your energy to leave it in the stadium! It doesn't have to be for PSU.. but don't you dare come to just watch. Come.. but bring your your soul and and leave exhausted.. the players deserve nothing less
This game was the perfect last whiteout game for my senior year. You think being a regular spectator is amazing the student section is the most amazing experience and im going to miss it
It was an epic game, and I think Auburn will prove to be a top 10 team by the end of this season. Their coaching staff need to ride their RB game like Michigan is doing right now. If they do this, Bo will be able to settle in better as the season goes on. Now for the negatives. PSU got robbed by the SEC crew refs. I mean got robbed. You seem to have forgotten the 4th down they made and yet the spot was not given to them, that could have been a HUGE play if they lost the game. I will not even go into the grounding calls which PSU got one (and then they got robbed of a down) while Auburn should have had one and didn't. Yes the targeting calls as also BS, just like PSU got that targeting call in Wisconsin and almost cost them the game. The refs must be better.
After that game, I'm kinda rooting for Penn State to win the National Championship. They definitely deserve it if they keep this up. Maybe in a few years we'll get our chance 🤷♂️
A die-hard Penn State fan who had a chance to go to the 2022 Whiteout Game against Minnesota. Watched the 2021 Penn State against Auburn since it was one the best non-conference Whiteout games. West Virginia will not be the Whiteout Game in 2023! Iowa instead.
You know what’s sad I go to other fb teams pages and read comments and read auburns page comments and everyone says auburn is a low tier sec team and that’s just sad….. it’s sad no one is scared when they play auburn anymore I remember when auburn would have been one of those teams that everybody feared to play against how have we fallen so far down I tell you one thing I do not envy Bryan harsin
I'm sure that experience was awesome but it has to be pointed out Holly Rowe with her DB meter said Death Valley was over 10 db louder than what she measured at Happy Valley.
Not trying to argue but cool fact about penn state, on campus we have a large science research complex that is built on shock absorbers because on gameday the stadium registers as an earthquake locally and otherwise will mess up experiments
They threw out all their gimmick plays. They were catching balls on their backs, on their knees, on their belly's, and on their butts. They are a scrappy team but they are extremely undersized
Genuinely thought the whiteout was overrated. I was at the game and it just was not impressive to me and it was not louder than the SEC schools I’ve been to.
@@bobbydyne the swamp is an amazing place to go and when auburn went there I had a headache from the noise. The way the stadium is designed offers such intense sound.
LOL. At least you can't use the environment as an excuse for losing then lol. Typical SEC bringing some of their arrogance up north and acting arrogant in town to all the Penn State fans especially after most I saw treated the Auburn fans VERY well.
@@FervAnimalLover "SEC Scum?" Arrogant? Im reporting on what I witnessed and saw. I have little doubt that PSU offers the best atmosphere in the Big 10 but I have been to louder and better atmospheres in the south. I loved the banter that Penn State fans gave me while I was up there...I did not see Auburn fans being rude to Penn State fans at all. You guys are extremely insecure about the fact tnat it might not be as loud as other places. Every time I say this, I get penn state fans very upset. It is not a representation of you school or the fans, just strictly the atmosphere. We lost because our shit decisions, a bad targetting call, and dumb penalties that we caused ourselves. Penn State deserved the win. I am not scum for suggesting it isnt the best place I have been to.

Tv broadcast: How many shots of the white out crowd do you want?
Director: Yes
This game was so much fun be at. White out game absolutely should be on people’s bucket list. Wish we could’ve got that win tho
I saw so many auburn fans say the white out didn’t matter I’m glad that we showed everyone otherwise
Respect that you give it credit instead of being salty it was great game
As an Auburn fan, if their are any Penn St fan here, good job. What a game! I liked what I saw aside from the lose.

I hope Penn State wins the Big 10 this year. This wish coming from an Auburn Alumnus.
Same to you dude! Your running backs are LEGIT. Hope you guys can find a way to beat Bama!
Im Auburn all the way, but I will be pulling for Penn St to win out and win it all.

The atmosphere in that stadium was unreal. Was in my seats 85 minutes before kickoff and the stadium was full with everyone standing

confradulatuons on yalls win im glad to see penn state having better days the past couple years
Man I've never seen anything like that crowd on Saturday night. Watching it on my laptop just gave me a tingling feeling. WE ARE
PENN STATE!
I feel very fortunate to have been there in the student section. What an amazing evening.

Spoilers! WTF I was just about to watch The Lion King for the first time.
😂😂😂
I’m a Alabama fan that crowd was insane off the charts.
Meyer said that the white out gave at least 7-10 points to Penn State as the noise and energy made it that much harder for a team to function.
BIG TEN! BIG TEN! BIG TEN!
If there were awards for the most dumbest refs and rigged refs then those refs in that Penn state auburn game got it for sure
Yeah good ole SEC refs huh

Fun fact, i was a sophomore when they did the first ever full white out against norte dame, even have that ticket framed
Nah the first one was 2005 against OSU.
I went to one when I was 6 years old in 2007 against Ohio state, still remember it to this day
Sorry SEC fans. JP is all in on the whiteout and sports a white tee. He’s one of us now.
Lol its all good
Geez did you change your shorts after making this love fest video.
Shoulda been there in October of 05
Every school should work towards making their home environment 80% of this.
no. 100 percent !!
Penn State should take a page from Nebraska and release white balloons after every touchdowns
Don't let balloons go we shoot off freaking fireworks!
Balloons are bad for animals.

Which Death Valley? Clemson or LSU?
