    1. Get rid of people that you negatively compare yourself to on social media
    2. Don’t speak bad about people or gossip. Also don’t roll your eyes.
    3. Write cute notes to yourself to boost your confidence (be realistic and write thing that speak to you)
    4. Wear jewelry (ie a necklace that drapes rather than one that cuts off your neckline)
    5. Play around with some new hairstyles
    6. Spend time with other women! (empowering positive women that won’t judge you or others)
    7. Embrace your period! Use it as a time to release negative emotions and thought patterns.

    I just started going to college and there’s this girl that is very very jealous of me, but at the same time fakes being friendly with me, in short she is very toxic. I decided to , by all means, not be rude with her, and also to not talk about her behind her back with our other friends. Hearing Alexandra saying what she said about gossip just made me feel like 10 times better about my choice. Girls and people in general - always remember to kill everyone with kindness. It is truly the best weapon.

    • @missSmile.
      @missSmile. 3 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Indeed, kill them with kindness. Best option. Also, I used to think of a quote when I was in your situation (but in high school. I'm in college now and it hasn't happened): "Why are you so obsessed with me?" - Regina George. Which is true, if that girl is spending all her energy being passive aggressive to you, sounds like she should focus on other things...😂

    I was very tomboyish when I was a child and hung out with more boys than girls because it was easier to relate and get along with boys but I realize that the older I get, the more I came to accept the girly side of me and how complex we are as a woman. I never thought I could love the color pink but I did in my early twenties. I used to think that makeup was high maintenance and only for a certain type of girl but now I adore it and try different kinds of makeup looks everyday. This is the same with dresses too and all other aspect of what being a woman is. Thanks for sharing your video, it really solidify the fact that it’s perfectly fine to be feminine no matter where you’re at in your life

      Alot of times women have been groomed to hate other women. So when you see a women say things like this she's probably haven't had the best experiences with other women. For example as much as I cannot stand men I prefer men as friends. Men will tell you what it is cut and dry and still be there for you. There isn't an invisible competition set in place between the two of you and you get a genuine friend who hanging with you because of who you are NOT how you look or what guy you can help them gain access too. Why?
    Because I've always been a big girl and I'm also taller than the average girl. I was always treated as the 'protector,' for smaller girls and boys often treated me like their, 'bro.' And I kid you not, I used to feel so pathetic because I too wanted to feel like a girly girl, you know? And I didn't know that we could activate your feminine energy. Thank you for answering my question, Alexandra. The universe truly does work in mysterious ways.

      Oh my god yes! I hated being the bigger taller girl (5’6 for some reason my friends are always shorter than me) I hate how I was too treated like a protector for smaller girls (like sis how imma help you ?) and oftentimes felt unprotected and on my own. I would stand up for people and others would watch when I was verbally or physically attacked. It’s not fair but recently I decided that I’m putting myself first I will be my own cheerleader and everyone else is on their own. Put yourself first and don’t feel guilty !💕✨🥰

      I can relate to this totally! I’m 5’6 so not incredibly tall but it seems that every other female around me is shorter than me. I’m also on the bigger side too and have an ample chest (which I dislike) so I don’t often feel small and girly even though I’m not really a tomboy as such. Sometimes I feel like I’m butch or manly and I hate it and I ask my mum if I look manly or butch. I don’t have a very high pitched voice either so that doesn’t help. I’m going to try and make a lot more effort to allow myself to be feminine and not be shy about it.

    Wow! I have no words. I’ve been sitting on my couch watching your videos while listening to Mad Men in the background and I truly love hearing what you’re saying about femininity. Before I begin I just wanted to give you some background information first. My sweet and loving mother passed away 5 months ago unexpectedly and I’ve been going through a lot. Been doing therapy, crying, laughing, sleeping, working out, journaling and much more. Things have gotten good and then bad and then good but overall I’ve been really transforming. I’ve been detoxing my life internally and externally. Some months ago I randomly had an impulse or more like a new wave of energy (that I do feel was my mother) that pushed me to start working on my outer appearance. I detoxed my room, and my closet. I set up my office to fit my personality and made sure it was simple and minimalistic. As well as invested time and energy in really researching healthy creams for my sensitive skin that best fit me & as well as make up. I was able to get rid of old creams and make up that no longer was of use or that are expired a million years ago. Lastly, but most importantly I’ve tried to surround myself more with positive quotes, photos, and self care talk. My whole life I’ve struggled with how I view myself. I can’t tell you how relieving and comforting it is to hear you speak about femininity in such a deeper level. Not just about taking care of yourself externally but also really focusing internally. It’s a journey and some days are better then others but your videos have really helped me feel like I’m I’ve always been on the right path of femininity. Thank you ❤️

    Some things i like to do is journaling, practicing loving kindness meditation, listen to music, sing, draw and paint, practice self care, putting on make up, nourishing my body, mind and spirit with food, water, and movement. The most important of all is having gratitude, empathy, compassion, selflessness, and kindness in my life and all women and young women needs this for life. Lets all empower each other. 💕

    I'm 17 and I want to share my experience with my own femininity :).
    I've always wanted to be feminine because my mum is an incredible role model of it. She wears bright colours against her deep skin, and shows off her curvy body through fitted clothing. She wears silver jewellery and nice perfume. She also passes as a 30-something, even though she's mid-late 40s. I apparently more look like her, but I don't see it. I guess I inherited everything except her nice nose and strong cheekbones. Great.
    Unfortunately, I've never felt feminine. I felt masculine and ugly, and hated my body and face all my life. I wanted to wear clothes that made me feel soft and gentle, but broad shoulders, narrow hips and large hands/feet made everything look awkward and ugly (apparently my shoulders and hips aren't like that but idk. My brain) . I'd showoff my clavicles to find that it also would highlight my puffy, bulbous face. I felt masculine in my behaviours and didn't know whether my "femininity" was just shyness and insecurity.
    I gave up this "femininity" thing at aged 13 and sought out androgyny, which also didn't work. I didn't have the height, curvelessness, or facial slenderness to pull of androgynous styles like the models.
    I then stuffed my hideous body into hoodies and aimed to pass as a boy. I tried to make my voice deeper (not like it was even pretty and feminine initially) and walk boyishly. My ugliness helped, and often I would pass as male. But, in hindsight, I was passing as a 5'5 unattractive male, which was even worse. But that was irrelevant. That wasn't what made me return to femininity.
    I've always wanted to feel like a woman, and turned to my mother (and some people online) for help. My first goal is to wear more womanly clothing. Mum keeps telling me that my body/face are nice and not masculine, but I currently struggle to see it. I trust her, though; she never lies to make me feel good. I bought two H&M thick jumpers and other things that make me feel womanly. It'll take lots of time, but I feel like I might naturally already be femiine, and it's just my self esteem and maladaptive coping methods making me act toxiclally masculine. I also am working on my confidence to allow my natural personality to show through.
    Anyway, these videos are so helpful to me. Thank you. I don't even know why I'm writing all this. I'm too close to my period for my decisions to hold logic.

      To help you along on your feminine journey, write a letter to yourself where you see yourself as feminine as you want to be. Read it to yourself with love and talk to your body at night as if you have already achieved the level of femininity you want. Look at yourself as if you're your significant other and fall in love with everything that you think are masculine. After a while, your mindset will have changed without you realizing it. Just have fun trying it and enjoy the journey.

      Try researching Kibbe body types. He's defined the different silhouettes of women in his style theory going from yin to yang (yin being soft and round and Yang being straight and more 'masculine') BUT these are not bad things. For example, Marilyn Monroe is a classic yin, soft round features and Angelina Jolie, is a classic Yang, with broad shoulders, tall, and straight line sharp features.
      I don't know anyone that would say Angeline Jolie is not feminine. There's a way to dress for your body type that will compliment and accentuate the beauty you already have. Much love to you xxx

I love my job so much but it does sucks that it’s not a job where it’s ideal to wear nice clothes and jewelry or even makeup due to the nature of my work, so my self esteem has been so low because I only get to look pretty on the weekends. I spend a lot of time with my hubby which is nice but not enough with my girls so I forget how to be a girl sometimes. I had a miscarriage last month and my reproductive health is just out of whack and has been depressing me. Social media, anxiety, feeling secure and safe I mean the list could go on but I just want to thank you for providing ways that can help me deal with some of my issues, I appreciate your videos and I’m glad I came across your channel years ago 💕

    Yeez, I needed to hear that. "It's ok to feel girly and like pretty things and want to wear a dress". I've been seeing that from a cultural perspective we've been trying to portray more masculine qualities just to reclaim our space in environments that have been typically masculine (work for example), Also, you usually end up stepping up your tomboy game to appear as a "dude" to men whom you want to be friends with, as if being femenine means that you are presenting yourself only in a romantic way. World is still a wicked place.

    6.- I have always wanted girl friends. I can't seem to find/keep them. When I finally got married, my bridesmaids were all my nieces. I am thankful for this; don't get me wrong. But I always imagined the whole girly experience. The brunches, the crafting, the shopping. I don't really have friends to begin with. But I rarely have female friends.

    • @MrGianeta
      @MrGianeta ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not difficult to make friends, but it requires time and effort. I mean you have to be prepared to invest your time and emotions into something that may wither and not amount to anything. Some seeds will grow up, some never will. But you have to do your work if you want to see the sprouts. E.g. I've become really good friends (of many years now) with a girl who was just sitting at a next table in a cafe. I don't particularly remember the details, but i think I had asked her to look after my laptop when I had to go to a lady's room, and also she was quite accidentally reading a book I'd just finished. We talked and I saw we had a lot in common, so we exchanged contacts. Female relationships are in a way easier, because you can be proactive as much as you want. You can send a message, or invite a potential friend some place and you will not be thought badly of. Most people would even welcome that. And if you like the person as a potential friend, but after some time you feel there's no balance/reciprocation - you drop the effort and move on. At the very least you've made an acquaintance.

    • @MrGianeta
      @MrGianeta ปีที่แล้ว

      the best way would be to capitalize on common interests/shared activity. in your case you've mentioned crafting. Look up some clubs/groups in your area - you might meet people there. Or maybe there's some activity you would like to pick up? Learning languages in groups is a kind of activity where you see a lot of women and you'll immediately have things talk about. (and also maybe learn something really fun or useful while you're at it). The nice thing - there's absolutely no risk. Zero. And it's not like with guys, where you have to look for "the one" or something. Every person has something nice or unique. You're only limited by the time you have available))))

    It's weird but for the longest time I hid my femininity and acted really intimidating or aggressive. For a while I thought that maybe I wasnt meant to be feminine or that it was a sign of weakness but now I feel that it was feelings of shame and insecurity that caused me to stop being girly.
    That I would be judged or oogled at like in my youth, or that I would be seen as fake for trying to be more girly.
    I really want to try to embrace it, it just feels weird to after so many years of hiding.

      Same, I was raised by a mom who hated women she taught me to hate and not trust or believe women I grew up more a boy with my 3 brothers, I'm learning at 31 to be feminine. I feel bad for liking it I feel likes it's not allowed.

      we live in a society It’s similar for me. I don’t own makeup or pretty clothes because I feel almost ashamed of it. Don’t get me wrong, I like dressing up (even though I can’t) and I like looking at makeup in the store. I just can’t find it in myself to be okay to wear them. I always choose the least feminine clothes because I feel uncertain about myself. I did try to be a bit more feminine at school compared to my usual I-woke-up-like-this look though. I straightened my curls, put in some contact lenses, and put a bit of my mum’s mascara on. No one said anything, I mean I didn’t want the whole school to bow down to me but I wanted at least one person to recognise my efforts. It was very discouraging.
      Even today, I was looking back at school award evenings pictures and all the girls look pretty wearing nice clothes. When I looked at myself, I was wearing a shirt and jeans. I thought I looked quite ugly compared to them and it made me feel ashamed of myself. I wish I had more confidence in my feminine side.

      @@jishoumushoku5094 it is very hard in this world to get confidence but you gotta fake it till you make it :) try smiling at yourself in the mirror even if you dont feel good about what you are seeing practice smiling all the time, maybe you will find adding a smile is all you truly need. Its hard not to be tough on ourselves just gotta work at good being nice to you & remind youself maybe some one did notice but they are even nervous themselves to say "wow you look nice today"

    Ok I am freaking out right now I am so happy that I stumbled across this video in my search for something- something i was needing and damn if i didnt find it.. I LOVE the audio only at the end. That was super cool. You are so positive and comforting and uplifting. And you also are insanely gorgeous!! I rly liked the part where you were saying how you feel that part of you is still a girl and that part of you has become a woman and loving both equally & unconditionally.. That hit home for me.. I am still identifying with my inner child more than not and I think I had a lack of supportive feminine people in my life and I want to learn how to embrace, channel, and share that divine feminine energy with the world.. Love to you
