You are exactly what's missing from TH-cam these days. While most female content creators side with spilling the tea or indulging in drama or d love into unrealistic exaggerated characters, you're someone whom I and many other girls look up to because you're REAL. You're CHILL. You're everything I aspire to become (hopefully) someday. You're like a big sister I've never had. Thanks for that ❤️

I never thought I could love the color pink but I did in my early twenties. I used to think that makeup was high maintenance and only for a certain type of girl but now I adore it and try different kinds of makeup looks everyday. This is the same with dresses too and all other aspect of what being a woman is. Thanks for sharing your video, it really solidify the fact that it’s perfectly fine to be feminine no matter where you’re at in your life
same here! i hated wearing makeup in high school because i thought that was all fake and hated all of femenine super girly stuff, now i'm 24 and i love everything about pink, makeup, small dresses, lol yes!! we can all change
Another woman's beauty is NEVER the lack of yours! I used to be insecure and whenever I saw a beautiful woman I used to feel jealous because I compared myself to her. Now, whenever I see a beautiful woman even though I'm straight I no longer envy nor hate them but think to myself,''That lady is a beautiful woman.''
@@fAbby7x Well, firstly I thought about how different we were. My beauty would be appreciated in different parts of the world example Italy, Greece etc while her beauty would be appreciated in Northern European countries. Think about art, whenever you see art you do not envy the beauty that the creator has made, you simply think about how beautiful the art work is!
That’s exactly what I’m sayin instead of ignoring it.. acknowledge it.. and learn how to be happy and love others and embrace their Beauty instead of letting envy and jealousy.. get the best of you .
I just started going to college and there’s this girl that is very very jealous of me, but at the same time fakes being friendly with me, in short she is very toxic. I decided to , by all means, not be rude with her, and also to not talk about her behind her back with our other friends. Hearing Alexandra saying what she said about gossip just made me feel like 10 times better about my choice. Girls and people in general - always remember to kill everyone with kindness. It is truly the best weapon.
Indeed, kill them with kindness. Best option. Also, I used to think of a quote when I was in your situation (but in high school. I'm in college now and it hasn't happened): "Why are you so obsessed with me?" - Regina George. Which is true, if that girl is spending all her energy being passive aggressive to you, sounds like she should focus on other things...😂
Trouble is some narcs won't get the "kill with kindness" thing. They will take that as an invite to be more cruel. Nope sometimes a brutal psychological shove is what they need to realise you will not be accepting the behaviour.
I love how you said be around positive women, there are so many girls I hear who pride themselves in "only having guy friends," and saying they hate women, and I'm thinking that means you hate yourself....being a woman is amazing. Love this
some say that woman are meaner to each other then then men are to woman, they are more conniving especially emotionally and hold grudges longer, they dress up for each other, always in competition especially when it comes to men and the work place. they are more indirect then men and tend to gossip and obsess.
Alot of times women have been groomed to hate other women. So when you see a women say things like this she's probably haven't had the best experiences with other women. For example as much as I cannot stand men I prefer men as friends. Men will tell you what it is cut and dry and still be there for you. There isn't an invisible competition set in place between the two of you and you get a genuine friend who hanging with you because of who you are NOT how you look or what guy you can help them gain access too. Most women don't admit where the issue
@@xxgamergirlxx7917 That may be where you live but around the world I'm pretty sure there is quite an equal amount of men and women. If I could be half as brave, confident and amazing as her when I turn 23??? I'm still a teen but I'm so afraid of adult me not being what I expect her to be (not a mess)
I cried. Why? Because I've always been a big girl and I'm also taller than the average girl. I was always treated as the 'protector,' for smaller girls and boys often treated me like their, 'bro.' And I kid you not, I used to feel so pathetic because I too wanted to feel like a girly girl, you know? And I didn't know that we could activate your feminine energy. Thank you for answering my question, Alexandra. The universe truly does work in mysterious ways.
Oh my god yes! I hated being the bigger taller girl (5’6 for some reason my friends are always shorter than me) I hate how I was too treated like a protector for smaller girls (like sis how imma help you ?) and oftentimes felt unprotected and on my own. I would stand up for people and others would watch when I was verbally or physically attacked. It’s not fair but recently I decided that I’m putting myself first I will be my own cheerleader and everyone else is on their own. Put yourself first and don’t feel guilty !💕✨🥰
@@iguessitsokyungrichbaby2813 Omg hun, I completely understand because I'm 5ft 8 and a half. I'm so proud of you for putting yourself first and standing up for yourself!! 💕💕🥰 You go girl!
I can relate to this totally! I’m 5’6 so not incredibly tall but it seems that every other female around me is shorter than me. I’m also on the bigger side too and have an ample chest (which I dislike) so I don’t often feel small and girly even though I’m not really a tomboy as such. Sometimes I feel like I’m butch or manly and I hate it and I ask my mum if I look manly or butch. I don’t have a very high pitched voice either so that doesn’t help. I’m going to try and make a lot more effort to allow myself to be feminine and not be shy about it.
Cherry Chubbz girls i’m 180cm and i’ve always felt like that and i can tell you guys one thing: i switched schools and met a girl who’s the same height as me, she is now my best friend and we just get each other:) i also met my current boyfriend of 1,5 years who is 2 meters tall❤️ moral of the story: stay away from the toxic small people hahahah
In a world where conventionally masculine traits are valued and rewarded, I sometimes forget what a wonderful thing it is to be a woman. I've sometimes pretended to not like girly things simply because I don't want to be seen as silly or weak. "It's okay to be a girl" really needed to hear that
The sticky note thing works. My boyfriend stuck sticky notes saying sweet things everywhere. He put one on my mirror that says “ you look amazing “ and one in my fridge and lots of positive words everywhere and I feel so good and it reminds me to love myself.
"It's okay to be a girl." I need to hear that. 😭. I'm not really a girly one coz I'm afraid I might not look beautiful if I wear makeup or dresses or fitted pants or high heels or whatever. Let's go for women empowerment!
You’re already beautiful. You can wear and do whatever you want. Maybe you could look at images of women from the past - Bette Davis, Josephine Baker, Grace Jones, Madonna etc didn’t fit the beauty standards of their eras but they found their own style and made themselves into global icons. Today’s plastic surgery and mainstream Instagram makes us think that we all have to look the same, but that isn’t true at all.
@@djlivvy46 thank you so much for your wonderful words! Yup, I'm still in the process of discovering my style where I will be comfortable, confident, and feel beautiful 😊. Plastic surgery will just make people more insecure about themselves. ☹️
Wow I’ve actually never realised that I felt shame for trying to be feminine cuz of what I was taught to believe in my community! I love everything you said in this video! ❤️ Much love.
I feel shame in trying to access the feminine. Lots of shame and resentment. So I rest in "immature" masculine. I'm not happy being in my body in my skin. It's hard.
I realised it to and just kept them as friends but became closer to the 2 real ones and the rest of them don’t even bother with me you learn a lot after you stop caring about the toxic ones
Oak Fairy I’m in the same situation as u :( I would tell you to meet new people and ditch the toxics but the idea of doing it myself scares the hell outta me and it probably wouldn’t be easy for u either. Friends can be so difficult and complicated to have,, like why can’t people just be nice like is it that hard-
Yess I agree, I almost lost my man by listening to that perspective. This is all about self and how it naturally re-emerges what we already have inside
This! I haven't even finished the video, but I stopped to write this on my whiteboard and realized I need it too! Alexandra basically gave us multiple therapy sessions worth of insight here distilled down into a key issue. Not feeling safe is so common I think for a lot of people, but it never occurred to me to think about it in those terms.
TRALALITSA K I’m sorry you went through that, but I’m also proud that you realise that being feminine is an energy and a state of being. It doesn’t have to be breasts, hair and all the extra stuff. It’s strength and compassion. God bless, stranger.

I’m in tears, I didn’t realize how much I’ve been neglecting my feminine energy and myself in general. Not just with my appearance but literally every topic you’ve mentioned in this video. I love my job so much but it does sucks that it’s not a job where it’s ideal to wear nice clothes and jewelry or even makeup due to the nature of my work, so my self esteem has been so low because I only get to look pretty on the weekends. I spend a lot of time with my hubby which is nice but not enough with my girls so I forget how to be a girl sometimes. I had a miscarriage last month and my reproductive health is just out of whack and has been depressing me. Social media, anxiety, feeling secure and safe I mean the list could go on but I just want to thank you for providing ways that can help me deal with some of my issues, I appreciate your videos and I’m glad I came across your channel years ago 💕

It’s nice to have a beauty guru talk about taking care of more than just the makeup on her face. Being beautiful means working on who you are as a person and loving yourself mentally and physically. Not just conforming to the latest makeup trend. Thanks Alex❤️
Having her amazing hair *does* help a lot! Having little hair with masculine features makes me look and feel unfeminine. 😭 *BUT* trough not dyeing my roots, proper diet and sleep my hair has gotten much longer and a bit thicker over time! We can change things! 😍

Honestly.. one day I remember when I had this kick of feminine energy and it was on my period. That day I was wearing a red dress put on red lipstick and had a red smoothie. I went outside and took a walk.. lemme tell u it was an experience.
@@brookealexandria9917 lol I wish I could relate I'm so insanely exhausted my whole period and the days leading up to it my hormones completely make me crash that said I do always get this burst about 2 weeks before it that feels amazing
Am I the only one not noticing differences when I'm on my period? I just feel my tummy uncomfy. Then again, I'm usually negative everyday, can't stop my mind from worrying about everything.
Yeez, I needed to hear that. "It's ok to feel girly and like pretty things and want to wear a dress". I've been seeing that from a cultural perspective we've been trying to portray more masculine qualities just to reclaim our space in environments that have been typically masculine (work for example), Also, you usually end up stepping up your tomboy game to appear as a "dude" to men whom you want to be friends with, as if being femenine means that you are presenting yourself only in a romantic way. World is still a wicked place.
Yes! "I am safe" - acknowledges your vulnerability. I can really relate to this underlying anxiety of feeling unsafe. Feeling unsafe and wanting to feel safe is something a lot of women feel without realizing it and this one simple tip - is so multi-faceted. Thanks so much.
I would really love a series about embracing femininity and the nuances. It can be intimidating to embrace the goddess that all women possess within and surprisingly not all people see the worth of embracing feminine energy or some women dwell in areas where their feminine energy can be seen as a weakness. Stunning content. Thank you, girl💕✨
I don’t think I’ve ever felt pumped up like I have when my best friend gives me motivational talks! She always makes self care sound fun and ecstatically talks about having a spa day in the future. I hope everyone in this comment finds friends like that, ya’ll deserve it!
It's weird but for the longest time I hid my femininity and acted really intimidating or aggressive. For a while I thought that maybe I wasnt meant to be feminine or that it was a sign of weakness but now I feel that it was feelings of shame and insecurity that caused me to stop being girly. That I would be judged or oogled at like in my youth, or that I would be seen as fake for trying to be more girly. I really want to try to embrace it, it just feels weird to after so many years of hiding. Thanks for the video 🙌🏻
Joanna Badillo So relatable! I associate being feminine with being vulnerable and I’ve always been mistreated when I was most vulnerable. So in my mind being feminine equals being mistreated. It’s a difficult pattern to break
You can be feminine and strong at the same time. It’s all about balance. In fact, we can be many things at the same time. As Chaka Khan sang, ‘I’m every woman, it’s all in me.’
Same, I was raised by a mom who hated women she taught me to hate and not trust or believe women I grew up more a boy with my 3 brothers, I'm learning at 31 to be feminine. I feel bad for liking it I feel likes it's not allowed.
we live in a society It’s similar for me. I don’t own makeup or pretty clothes because I feel almost ashamed of it. Don’t get me wrong, I like dressing up (even though I can’t) and I like looking at makeup in the store. I just can’t find it in myself to be okay to wear them. I always choose the least feminine clothes because I feel uncertain about myself. I did try to be a bit more feminine at school compared to my usual I-woke-up-like-this look though. I straightened my curls, put in some contact lenses, and put a bit of my mum’s mascara on. No one said anything, I mean I didn’t want the whole school to bow down to me but I wanted at least one person to recognise my efforts. It was very discouraging. Even today, I was looking back at school award evenings pictures and all the girls look pretty wearing nice clothes. When I looked at myself, I was wearing a shirt and jeans. I thought I looked quite ugly compared to them and it made me feel ashamed of myself. I wish I had more confidence in my feminine side.
@@jishoumushoku5094 it is very hard in this world to get confidence but you gotta fake it till you make it :) try smiling at yourself in the mirror even if you dont feel good about what you are seeing practice smiling all the time, maybe you will find adding a smile is all you truly need. Its hard not to be tough on ourselves just gotta work at good being nice to you & remind youself maybe some one did notice but they are even nervous themselves to say "wow you look nice today"

Wow! I have no words. I’ve been sitting on my couch watching your videos while listening to Mad Men in the background and I truly love hearing what you’re saying about femininity. Before I begin I just wanted to give you some background information first. My sweet and loving mother passed away 5 months ago unexpectedly and I’ve been going through a lot. Been doing therapy, crying, laughing, sleeping, working out, journaling and much more. Things have gotten good and then bad and then good but overall I’ve been really transforming. I’ve been detoxing my life internally and externally. Some months ago I randomly had an impulse or more like a new wave of energy (that I do feel was my mother) that pushed me to start working on my outer appearance. I detoxed my room, and my closet. I set up my office to fit my personality and made sure it was simple and minimalistic. As well as invested time and energy in really researching healthy creams for my sensitive skin that best fit me & as well as make up. I was able to get rid of old creams and make up that no longer was of use or that are expired a million years ago. Lastly, but most importantly I’ve tried to surround myself more with positive quotes, photos, and self care talk. My whole life I’ve struggled with how I view myself. I can’t tell you how relieving and comforting it is to hear you speak about femininity in such a deeper level. Not just about taking care of yourself externally but also really focusing internally. It’s a journey and some days are better then others but your videos have really helped me feel like I’m I’ve always been on the right path of femininity. Thank you ❤️
I’m so very sorry you lost you mum, that sucks. I’m sure she’s happy wherever she is, that you are taking care of yourself. You are lovely, you’re loveable, you’re loved 🤗
I feel like I've tried to be a tomboy to fit in with my friends, and half of me is, but I've always been scared to show my feminine side for fear of thinking I was weird. Dealing with being a high school student isn't exactly easy sometimes. You have been a role model for me for almost a year now, and it's made me more comfortable showing my more feminine personality that I have had to compress. Thank you so much!
Now this is comforting. I spent hours looking up videos to feel better bout myself, but the ones before this were SO toxic. Like I kinda wanted to cry. Hearing stuff in your household and community (BLK) shaming you for trying to be comfortable with yourself along with figuring out the feminine energy messes you up.

I love how you said be around positive women, there are so many girls I hear who pride themselves in "only having guy friends," and saying they hate women, and I'm thinking that means you hate yourself....being a woman is amazing. Love this
Lol, I have no guy friends. I fall for all of them.
some say that woman are meaner to each other then then men are to woman, they are more conniving especially emotionally and hold grudges longer, they dress up for each other, always in competition especially when it comes to men and the work place. they are more indirect then men and tend to gossip and obsess.
How are you literally... the most beautiful person I've ever seen?
Inside and out!
it's because her personality shows through
I cried.

I need to hear that.

Best female youtuber hands down, please keep creating and thank you for being you Alexandra!
my gosh..she is such a nice person..i mean guys have ever seen someone saying you can thumbs down.?
After she said that I was like, "wait what. Whoa."
IzIzzy 8109 I mostly just wear jeans and t shirts and hoodies. But it’s nice to put on a pretty dress or skirt and do a twirl :)
I was going to sleep, but then you posted

More femininity videos! Please tie in with outfits and how to attract others around with feminine energy. Maybe even include how to go about it all. I've been so lazy lately and feel like the people around me (partner) doesnt find me as attractive as I once was - because I lost my femininity (imo). Loved this video and feel empowered to go take care of myself and put a slamming outfit on!
@Ur daily shitpoaster I'm 6 feet tall, no heels for me lol
I don’t think you realize how much you’ve helped me 🥺❤️
Seeing periods as not just bearable, but sacred, beneficial and as a chance to totally detox and refocus is MINDBLOWING for me. Thank you ❤
I was raised to be tough. Acting girly, was being ditsy, not working hard in the mud all the time, made me a priss. Its taken me a while to be able to relax and enjoy being a girl. I absolutely love your videos. I loved your podcast!!!
She needs to write a book. Everyone could use this. I would buy like ten of them

Ok I’ve had problems thinking of myself as feminine since my tomboy phase (age 8-15) and this really helped, I needed this
Same lmao but for me it was more like 0-15
If you feel more yourself being a tomboy dont feel obliged to become more girly.
Same
It's ok to be a woman who isn't super feminine. Be yourself, dress how you want to, have hobbies that you enjoy no matter how "masculine" they might be. But still, encourage your feminine energy through friendships, self-care, positivity and self love!!
@@hannahw90hw thank you i love this so much 💖💖💖💖
Everyone in this community is so positive and sweet and this is such a happy place 🥺💞🦋
Guys, when she writes "* life changing*" that *IS* life changing.
alex pleeeeeease make a podcast! you’re a natural at it and so good! your voice is so soothing, relaxing, positive in a way, soft and it’s indescribable for me. the topics that you talk about are life changing, motivating, understandable, realistic, moving, etc. i’m sure a lot of people would love and appreciate it if you made one! please consider if it is possible! ❤️
You should do a podcast. Talking about life, stories and experience that have made you grown. Or maybe you could do an advise podcast where we can write to you to gove advise or an opinio😁
