    Hi, I'm Alexandra. I believe life can be both glorious, tricky and even painful.. which we all know. Beauty is a practice I have enjoyed from early childhood as a way to build my confidence in myself. Not just on "special" occasions, but in my every day life and decision making. On my TH-cam channel I show you practical steps and psychology to understand and apply methods in all areas of beauty; inclding fashion, makeup, hairstyling and femininity, to help us evolve and transform into our personal visions. I believe when a girl feels good about herself, she can make better choices for herself in ALL areas of life. Welcome to my channel, I'm glad you found me.

Ballet and Pilates help too cause they get the core strong and more awareness of all the muscles. Yoga is amazing as well. Swimming too. Ok now I feel like exercising haha. How does being sarcastic not fit with an “””angelic essence””””?? The idea that certain personality traits don’t fit with certain aesthetics makes no sense. No one has to change their personality or their humour to be angelic. It’s just such a weird thing to say. I understand that she’s not saying all women have to be a certain way, but it’s super weird to discourage sarcasm or other traits so you can better fit into a category or “essence”. It’s so weird

    • @teodora5720
      @teodora5720 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I think we all understand what she was trying to say. However, the video could have been made a lot better if she actually explained what she meant by "angel essence". She just went straight into the appearence of an "angel" with no explenation and just did not feel like it was her work. It was just not typical of her content.
      Idk she asociated the outer appearence with a personality a bit too much.

    • @shezcreative
      @shezcreative 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Emily Sikora an essence is your persona, something that you portray to the outer world and that’s how they’ll describe you in a word. You don’t have to change if you don’t want to, an angelic essence is just one if the many essences as Alexandra mentioned . As for being sarcastic, it’s generally considered a rude thing and often meant to offend. I’m not saying that it’s all bad and should be erased because we’re all human and have human behaviour but if anyone wants to adopt the angelic essence, sarcasm will clash with what they’re trying to portray.

    I'm still waiting on the next part of this series over two years later. I remember how mad people got at this video, but I legit don't understand how wanting to explore different versions of femininity (of your own free will) could ever be misogynistic. No one is saying that this is the only way to be a woman. The idea of "angel energy" helped me find strength in my femininity at a time were womanhood honestly made me feel lesser. Women's empowerment is about women feeling confident in themselves; not everyone is going to achieve that the same way, and that's okay.

    I think the purpose of this video is to show an example of just ONE way to be beautiful. Throughout the video it started to seem like she was telling people that this is what makes someone beautiful and feminine (which I really don't think is the message she's trying to send) so I'm just here to remind everyone that not doing these things does not make you ANY less beautiful/feminine/attractive, this video is only inspiration for a 'look'! It might not be your way of looking and feeling you're best and that's completely fine, we all have our own unique ways of looking and feeling beautiful and sometimes it's fun just to mess around and be an angel for a day ♥️

Ugh, my fellow women, ya’ll let me down sometimes. 😩

      claudia Yes! Being a messy slob is gross whether you’re male or female, it’s not something that should be treated as some cute quirk that can’t be helped. Sarcasm CAN push others away from you if people don’t understand your tone, so it should be used sparingly around people you don’t know that well. Everyone has something about themselves they could work on improving, it doesn’t make you a pushover or a doormat to want to appear more elegant or feminine.

    It seems like a lot of people feel that Alexandra is saying, “to be womanly, you have to be an angel.” I don’t think that was her intent, though. At the beginning, she mentions many different “essences” - the angel, the feline, the goddess, etc and says each of them has something to teach us. So this video is for those of us who want to learn something from the angel essence. If you don’t think the angel essence is a good fit for you, no worries! There are plenty of other essences to learn from and apply to your life. I’m assuming she will be making additional videos to discuss other essences.

Now, I know nothing on this earth is perfect, but that's what I aim to do. When I find myself slipping back into my old ways, I would think what I want to be like. When I desperately needed to find an exercise that wasn't painful, I took up barre. That made a tremendous difference in how I moved and my posture and balance. I never told anyone this because I thought they would think I'm ca-ra-zy. And I found your video one day and thought she is beautiful and even better, she moves and speaks beautifully. Doesn’t her advice initially seem very “natural and effortless” but if you think about it (or put it in use) it’s actually very forced and takes constant effort. Most women who are being themselves will be a little sloppy or imperfect or goofy, so being “angel-like” - or gentle, perfectly groomed, feminine, etc. - takes constant effort.
    Women will undoubtedly be caught with a wrinkled shirt, with some dirt under a nail, saying a bold comment, wearing pants that are too tight somewhere, or moving in not-so-fluid way. Being angel-like sounds easy and great however really isn’t practical.
    Having confidence and feminine energy is great, of course, buut acting and appearing in your natural manner (whether it’s sloppy, outgoing, very put-together, shy, sexy, whatever) is the most attractive way to be for any woman, man, whoever, always. Trying to look and act in any other way will probably lead to an awkward, less-confident, and exhausted result!

    I know why some people don't like this and it's really not about the video. If this is not your essence then that's perfectly okay, I was able to enjoy the soft elegant vibe of the video without being it. The problem with people today is that people want to relate and be everything at the same time. People want to participate in every trend at the same time, but this is about an essence, which you can't fake if you don't have it yourself. A angelic type can't be bad bitch type, cause it will just feel silly if you are not that. Some people were angry at her for portraying "how women should act or be feminine", which the video is clearly not about. If this triggered you, then that's a personal problem, because nothing she said was triggering.

      You serious? I never knew about her before but I was reading the comments of people asking to bring this series back. So that is why she doesn’t do these videos anymore? I hope she continues this series eventually. The initial criticism of this video was absolutely ridiculous and far from constructive.
    Alexandria never claimed that “Angel Essence” is the proper way to be a woman or feminine, she was merely demonstrating how to give off a certain aesthetic/feminine energy. She also put a lot of emphasis on gratitude, self care, positivity, and gracefulness, and that pisses people off for some reason? I really don’t get it.

      There just isn’t/wasn’t enough context in the original video for that to come across. It’s like all well and good to be like “she never said it was the ONLY way” but like when you just repeat over and over again that being clean, pure, not having acne, etc helps “increase your feminine energy” it just naturally creates an idea that having acne, dirt under your fingernails, etc makes you unfeminine. I think it was a matter of miscommunication but like come on you have to admit these ideas are present in the video and the fact that there are other characteristics that are equally as feminine just was not emphasized from a 5 second intro where the different essences flash on the screen. I like understand NOW that she wasn’t meaning “sarcasm ruins this ESSENCE” as “sarcasm ruins your feminine energy”, but only after she explained. This original video wasn’t clear enough.

    Just out of concern for the younger and more impressionable viewers:
    Sarcasm doesn't not equal bad, and isn't always used out of spite. I personally love sarcasm and am drawn to people who use it in their form of (light-hearted} humor, but I think perhaps a better word choice in this video would have been passive aggression, since sarcasm can often be used with that intent.
    And overall, authenticity is always key. You'll be happier and attract the right people towards you. I suggest using these methods as tools to explore your own relationship with your femininity and womanhood, rather than feeling pressured to embody the persona as a way of life because that's just not realistic. You're human and you're beautiful.
