    Good memories of H&A!-back when it had real actors and top story lines.

    I think Tug was originally intended as a throw away character, at least that's how it seemed. But the writers and Tristan Bancks really gave the character growth and depth. The same growth and depth is clear in Shane too.

      He was originally this one dimensional bully with two lackeys who never spoke or were given names but he grew over time.

    Better storyline than anything they do now. Oh and Shane with his shirt off. Woof.

    There was similarities and deep-seated ones beneath the hot-headed and at times stubborn facet with the bravado. Both grew up and turned into cool well liked young adults. RIP Dieter.

    Their feud was more compelling than anything in the WWF at that time 😁

      Love the WWF reference! And you're right- the Shane/Tug of war was better than what was a happenin' at the time in WWF.😀😀 Their war was more like Austin/The Rock of the Attitude Era, in particular when Shane used his leading role in the musical as leverage to lob his gob on Sarah during their scene together infront of Tug. I still love that scene. 😀

    I love the endings to your videos. Did you record it yourself? How did you do it? Really nice vibe from it. Great content as always BTW.

      Thank you very much, it's supposed to elicit a nostalgic feeling of walking along that famous beach and remembering the classic moments, the sound of the wind almost carrying them in the air. Well didn't that sound pretentious 😂

    I never understood why Shane hated his mum & dad so much. "They just didn't care, they gave me $50 bucks" just doesn't cut it as far as I can understand. They didn't beat him up or anything, "they just didn't care"

    • @SummerBayJournal
      @SummerBayJournal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Guess you had to be in Shane's shoes to understand.

      At the time I probably didn't get it, but now I do. Parents who come across like they 'don't care' can really damage a child's sense of self and can create a lot of complicated interpersonal problems in adult life. It's basically neglect, neglecting a kids emotional needs or making them feel like they're not worth bothering about, can be just as mentally damaging as physical harm

    • @Hulk2k6
      @Hulk2k6 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Neglect is just as bad as Philip and Ros beating him would have been.
