I think people into this workflow are definitely more and more into the fact that it does it all without a screen. I'm really impressed by teh Circuit line and how it was so good in the first place and keeps getting better. Thanks for saying you gotta consider the cost when comparing to MPCs and Roland sampler. I wish people pointed that out more often. Amazing little machine, very musical and quick.
Thank you so much for patiently just "talking" about this device. I just bought one and want to understand its potential better and your explanation of its Scenes function as a Song mode was perfect!
A very handy feature is if you place an empty sample at the first step of a sequence, and then record inn while the device is playing. The sample will playback immediately, making it almost like a looper.
Your intro is incredible. Glad you’re enjoying the Rhythm. Think it’s the most fun sampler I’ve ever used. I think if you have the sample gated, then the slope knob changes both attack and release (turning right).

Very tempted by the rhythm, particularly because of portability & ease-of- use but have also long admired the Korg Electribe 2 Sampler and wondered what your thoughts were on this comparison?
I plan on getting one next week I was gonna get the tracks but I hate dealing with computers so downloading packs is not really my thing but as this can also sample direct that's a bonus for me not saying I won't download samples but going straight to the source is more my thing iv also got 3 keyboards and synths that are full of preset sounds and drum kits and I can also make my own patches and sample them straight I do have a po KO 33 that's a good little sampler but it's only good for lofi and it's extremely limited with sounds choking out ect ..
Hey there, I got the circuit rhythm a couple of months ago but wasnt able to do anything with it because of work. now that i have some free time i'm able to mess around a little with this piece of gear. for now I just want to use this for triggering party noise samples. say i load up 8 party noise samples into the rhythm and i take it to a gig will it let me trigger 2 samples at same time?
@@ivanvelez7668 Is the goal just to press two pads to trigger two sounds at once? The architecture of this sampler isn't really set up that way. The only way to get polyphony of samples is to program them to the sequencer and press play. If you want to do that you're idea will work but if you just want to trigger two samples by tapping two pads, this device doesn't really do that unfortunately.
@@MattGreerMusic but that's the thing...this is really meant to be a portable device away from studios and basically a stand alone unit. you (ideally) load samples and take it with you. most wouldn't want to take massive studio quality headphones...and most if not all consumer grade Hphones use the 3.25 standard...

On paper, I think the E2S probably wins that one but for me personally, I resonate better with the Circuit.
That studdering bass reminded me of La Poción by Macaco, a truly amazing song if you like him.

Awesome. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
FWIW you can load packs onto this one too but I've never done it. 🤷♂️
@@MattGreerMusic So can you make your own packs by direct sampling .. instead of downloading everything?
@@leewightman8619 Yep. That's how I do it. I just direct sample everything.
@@MattGreerMusic nice one thanks for that ...that's how I will be doing it too

The way the different sequencer tracks are set up would make that difficult.
@@MattGreerMusic what do you mean?

@@MattGreerMusic what device would you recommend?
A really really basic device that does what you describe is the Akai MPX8.
Hi, what firmware version is it as of todate 6/8/22?
Was the slow sampling because of the card?
Naw I tried a different one and it's still pretty slow.
Ah, was think about getting because that 404mkii isn’t gonna be in anyone’s hand till 2024. But maybe not.
If I didn't cover anything you want to know about, let me know here in the comments.
What's the advantage of the bigger headset jack?
More standardized across studio equipment. More stable and secure.

what are' freedom units'?
LOL. Slang for American measuring systems. Basically anything but the metric system (because we're ridiculous).
@@MattGreerMusic gotcha, never heard that one before
So ut takes long to save samples
As a sampler
That kinda shit
But maybe it is because you dont have a ultraspeed sd card
I hadn't considered the speed of the card. Guess I need to experiment.
@@MattGreerMusic or use a micro sd card to usb adapter
Yes this exist
I didnt know that
It's not the writing to the card. It's the normalizing of the sample that makes it slow.
the lofi 12/6 samples fast and normalizes @@jeroendeclercq7580
To be honest, I hate look and workflow of all new samplers like this one. They are ugly, full of colourful lights, plastic and artificial.
Each to their own. Thankfully there's still lots of viable options that are a little bit older.
Show me a sampler that not artificial 😆
