Hey Ben, really appreciate the plug! Picked up laser cut parts today for the V8! Love that you appreciate the passat! Your video making and editing gets better every time. Love that 4 way split thingimy!
Great vid again mate, if it takes much longer you’ll have to see someone about your missing wood 😂. Luv the R36 nice sleeper vibe especially the estate.
Another good video always look forward to a new one releasing still happy to see the name on the back of the truck look after your self bud and stay safe
Awsome vid bud , shame about the jerks taking your wood I have to keep mine locked in cab . Another guy who recovers local to me had his ramps stole the other day . As if keeping our trucks doesn't cost enough on the road they get looted over night . All the best Mark and Em
Hi, what actually happened was as I pulled it on and the front wheels were near the top of the ramps the winch just stopped. I then watched as the van rolled back off and took out two factory gates. When it came to a statement and risk assessment the conclusion was to have it secured at least twice. It must have been comical to watch but I wasn't laughing. The winch has had a fail safe but that failed, lol. @@Fighting_Torque
Hey Ben. Nearly rang you on Saturday cos we had a poxy evoque lock its gearbox on our forecourt. Managed to find a vid of how to manually unlock the box otherwise you'd be the man to ask after the last video. Keep up the good work2👌😁
Exactly what we did apart from removing the air box. RAC guy turned up as two of us were pushing the bloody thing out of the way. Decided to sit and watch until we'd finished, then got out and thanked us for our help - git🔔🔚
R36 a very underestimate beast Very rare and even more rarer to find a low mile nice condition car. If you can deal with the absolutely insane fuel consumption or might be just how I drove mine 🤣 They are one of the comfortable neck breaking cars about. If you've never driven 1 then go find 1 honestly you won't give it back. I had a blue one but kept on getting speeding tickers so it needed to go. Great video mate. If you are still looking for a bit of wood in your life. Visit that dodgy lay-by just before you get to Alford on the A1104 🤣🤣😉
@@Fighting_Torque You said it. I have been noticed them infamous lay-by places are getting bit out of hand. Past dark time it's like Russian roulette stop for a coffee in a nice looking place and end up with people with trousers around ankles running about. Quite scary really 🤣🤣😉 Could be worse. In America or Australia you just wouldn't be seen again after stopping in a dodgy lay-by. So thank god we're in the UK 🇬🇧 🙏
Amazing content as usual Ben. Gotta love a rare sight Mk4/5 Transit Luton. Ouch on camper van wood breaking, hopefully didn’t catch the bed of the truck on the cills / side step of the camper? & Oh on even rarer sleeper / touring R36 Passat. Daniel.
You can tell Audi just ripped off the R36 front end for the A4 estate! Didn't know VW did a R36, but it did look smart. I've been a VAG man for about 15 years, had a Corsa before, but the Corsa's were so small and outdated for so long I didn't want another, considered a Fiesta, went to Evans Halshaw in Grantham, told the guy the spec I was looking for, never heard nothing back, I suspect it was coz I said "find me an auto I can test drive", and he probably thought I wasn't a serious buyer. Then I saw the then new shaped Polo in the paper dad was reading and really liked it, then the next model I got came with a DSG box rather than a normal auto box, I've only got an auto licence, I love the DSG box, the ease of an auto but drives like a manual, so unless I find something that drives similar or better, I'm likely to be a VAG man for a while. I'm semi on the look out for a decent VAG place, I'm gonna keep the GTI now so will need somewhere in a year or so, don't want to buy anything designed and built after 2022 coz EU law dictates cars have to have an Event Data Recorder in them, and since no one can tell me what data is collected, if it's uploaded to a server and who has access to it, I've got no interest in being tracked or data being sold, coz until told otherwise, that's what will happen. Also got no interest in spontaneously combusting cars, cough cough, I mean EVs. I've managed to get 2 or 3 free services thrown in when I've bought a car, but since I'm keeping it this time, I'll actually need to MOT and service it, so if you hear of any other really good VAG places, let me know, I want things done right, with a bit of a personal touch without being ripped off, I'm certainly not gonna pay VW dealership prices. Few year ago, I asked them to give me a quote coz I was unsure whether I was gonna swap it or not before the service was due, I laughed at it, my old man was a mechanic so I sort of had a decent idea of parts costs, and how long it would take, I only asked coz he had passed away, said they were having a laugh and could go elsewhere, to be fair, they did go to the manager and took 10% off. Over the years, I've learned at dealerships, moral of the story is never be afraid to be proper cheeky and low ball them, they've usually got plenty of margin if you're willing to push them, oh and always leave them hanging, remember they need the sale more than we need the vehicle.
I love your videos and you, so glad your doing some husbandry on the fleet cos the state of tour dirty windows played Mary hell with my OCD . Please can I have a free fighting torque hoody please . Big love Chrissyboy xx
Good question, because 99% of people who say they do recovery just do transport and nothing to do with recovery. I know this because at 2am when I need to sub a job out, none of them answer the phone. But trust me, its a tough game, we are barely afloat at the min.
Nice to see you better😊 great viewing as always🤩
Cheers buddy, great to see you commenting 👍
This is just what i needed before my night shift.......we still need the sleaford recovery origin story :)
Ahhh ok, not sure many would be interested in that though 😂. Enjoy your shift pal

Can never have too much wood...
Actually wait a minute 👀

Awesome bro😊
Glad you enjoyed it man
I had a transit roll of my truck as the winch failed so now I always have two points of securing as I move the vehicle on or off.
I always sit in them as they go over the lip for loading. I replace the winch cable every 12 months too.
