1. Dump stat is mobility. 2. MANSTOPPER: don't try to roll for it if you are at or above level 30. Instead check the armory on all available human characters and melk and get it that way. 3. Run n Gun improves accuracy of your ranged weapon while in use. I haven't confirmed if this improvement effects while not sprinting. Neither change my opinion dramatically on the best blessing choices as I'm not especially enamored with what Dance of Death does to the Hacker but it may make this blessing worth more than a garbage bin.
FS needs to just make those blessings rank 3 or 4, so dumb. (Also, can you even roll Rank 2 blessings at around level 22 - when this shockgun unlocks?)
Fun little side note: Veterans exe stance works great with the hacker. The 25% dmg bonus and spread & recoil reduction are just *chefs kiss*. I did a doom guy build on veteran with it (just to simulate glory kill possibilities xP ) and it can 1shot fairly reliably non-elite shooters from 25-30m range and with luck even at 40m. This gives a nice tool against them since they are now much more accurate & deadly.
only real problem with Exec stance is the green gas bomb or map effect glitches the tagging outline. Other than that yeah the Hacker on a long range build is hilariously good.

Fun Combo: The Always Prepared keystone modifier will always refill one bullet for the Hacker shotgun, even if you only get one kill. When combined with the crit bonus from Weapons Specialist you can repeatedly whip out a crit Hacker shot in combat, which is especially effective with Manstopper.
Agreed inexperienced gamers will not understand that this blessing is core to a standard performance hacker. I would not run one without run and gun unless with specialized build.

With the zaelot's talent for reducing dispersion on a dodge, the reticle becomes smaller than the agripinaa shotgun. The only problem is that I have the impression that the dispersion depending on the reticul is not correct either on the zealot with this combo, or on the veteran with the appropriate talents/skills.
great thing about darktide shotguns is that a certain amount of pellets are programmed to always hit, even if they would miss due to random spread pattern. aka you can always 2shot snipers with this gun
One thing to consider, I think that each pellet of the shotgun can trigger the Psyker's Brain blast on hit. The amount of times it triggers for me is insane for it to not be the case, specially on the double shot, since there's more pellets.

The loadout editor mod talked about at 7:26 is called loadout config and is only on the modding discord, I’ve used it myself and it makes testing so much easier especially when paired with bot spawner, definitely worth doing a follow up vid after trying it

I don't think the new gunner buff is as "anti-fun" as a lot of people say it is. I get the anger from a swarm of bullets melting your health bar. Yet, I enjoy that FS made them more of AN actual threat, rather then trivial. Before, it was just the Mobeian and Scab gunners that are an issue. They all now do insane pop shots from across the map, but target priority, suprresion, and dodge sliding still topples them like they are pre-buff. Even Reapers are more of threat now.
I think you're mixing your shooters and gunners. Gunners are the machine gun elites in the psychaneum while shooters are just the random rifle guys. I agree the shooter buff was needed but the gunners also getting buffed was a weird call. They're more annoying than fun and spawn in strangely high numbers for "elites"
@@Reginald-sc9tki havent played psyker since the patch cuz i dont wanna get shredded by some random ass dred that decided to spawn on a ledge above and behind me that instantly deletes me before I can even turn around and brain burst it. This happened to me a few days before the update so I cannot imagine how bad it is now. Also I wish enemies would stop spawning out of thin air and buffing gunners while the stun from them still exists was a bad move because a veteran has voice of command but a psyker does not and its just bad in general. We should not be getting stunned by gunners. Also idk if they did anything to shotgunners but it seems like they knock you back aggressively even if they arent close enough to do a ton of damage. Since the update shotgunners have been just shredding health but they could be the same for all I know.

I feel like both barrels is a pretty bad blessing just because you lose so much value by firing both barrels and because the reload is not nearly as fast as "70% faster" should be. I think this is something similar to drg's double barrel where one of the mods increased the reload speed but not the delay time between the shot and the reload taking place. if anything that 70% feels like 20 or 30% at most to me
By my experience unless you have your secondary fire queued while reloading it does do what it's supposed to do for rapid reload and fire of both barrels, I have only had trouble with how mine is paired with full bore it does kill yet feels like something was not full stopping power
My VERY first roll was run and gun. I immediately made a sprint build and it is the most fun i have had in darktide since I got my first heavy evicerator
Got a double barrel with Scattershot and Both Barrels at level 4! It's such a fun gun on the Zealot, and honestly the range isn't terrible. It's got a really fun "turn around, tweak out and unlock both barrels Into a target" fun factor 😂
Both barrels have enough oomph to stagger crushers and maulers And, last time i used it on damnation I could with both barrels 3 shot crushers on my old vet build
Man stopper is definitely top tier but I think you've under-sold Run and Gun especially on a weapon specialist Vet where reloading isn't going to take as much of your time. Vet get's the bonus on sprinting and Run and Gun also lowers your spread. It makes it far easier to maintain that buff
I feel like so often the Hacker fails to kill a single special or elite when you shoot both barrels to the point where I just feel like I'd rather use the Revolver. I think it needs better spread at the very least, and perhaps a bit of a damage bump as well.
It really is like a sub 15m weapon. Its good for what it is and provides a new play style but little competes with revolver right now so its a bad comparison. Revolver is literally SSS tier and plasma is like S tier and then you have all the other guns. Columnus IAG is probably S or better.

Honestlt DON'T craft it. Instead just keep an eye out for manstopper in the armory. Then craft a good roll, slap manstopper on, and run a crit build. It'll be good enough to enjoy if you do that.

@Reginald-sc9tk I was playing last night on my ogryn, Tiny. Was basically able to just stand my ground against waves of enemies and almost never die. Definitely love the heaviest pick, slow, but hits hard and staggers most stuff. I did play a game with a vet using the shotgun, made me want to try it again haha. Heya! This build for the Supe- I meant gun gun... BIG BOOM STICK is very very nice! And I was wondering if you where to do an entire build with it like with talents and stuff what would you do? Im just getting back into the game after this update and it got rid of my old one XP So im sorta scavenging around to make a new one!
Maybe it was nerfed at some point, but the people saying run and gun is a must have on this thing have to be under placebo and don't really test things objectively.. 10% spread is hardly noticeable and not enough on its own to actually make it reliable to snipe man sized specials and kill. It gets a little tighter while sprinting but still not by enough to matter, and grows again while sliding. It's nowhere near as good as run and gun on the ogryn rumbler which gets a substantial 30% for some reason. If you really want to snipe things with the double barrel and use it as a primary rather than as a backup room clearer used only with weapon specialist crits, executioner stance alone will lead to a much more noticeable choke on the spread and further kills due to the damage, or dance of death on zealot with a huge 75%. Both barrels is also just the better non damage blessing since you get much better uptime with it where you need it, using both barrels to make sure everything in too close for comfort is either dead or knocked down.
Came back to this video because I might’ve found something new? I noticed that crouching constricted my reticle, but only when aiming both barrels. I’ll check later, just wanted to post this in-case I forget, and I didn’t remember hearing this when I first watched.
@@Reginald-sc9tk I checked again. The reticle for hip fire has some height and width, the double has some greater height and greater width, and crouching double looked like the same greater height, and the width decreased over time to make the reticle look like a circle.
Problem with short-range guns in a Tide game is you have a dedicated short-range option in your other hand already, and this Tide has many dangerous long-range enemies. Seems logical that the best class pairing is one that has innate ranged abilities like throwing knives. I will have to chase the Manstopper blessing somehow.
I have a bit of a soft spot for reducing spread on shotguns as much as possible in all sorts of games. Not only does it make your range a bit longer in practice by only being affected by falloff, but taking a weapon that's designed around hitting every enemy in a room, and putting every instance of damage between a person's eyes often has spicy results

@@mizranozahara968 Technically speaking dreg shooters are dreg stalkers repurposed. Scab stalkers will walk around while firing and move to melee. Scab shooters will generally retreat and try to fire from covered positions.

The game involves none of this, just go hit heretics. The spreadsheets are so people can understand the large volume of often undetailed stats that are at play so they can get better.
@Reginald-sc9tk Man, is it? Because it does not one-shot mutants like the double barrel, double pump does. I'm level 19 with my Ogryn (His name is "Handsome"), and I'm still struggling with getting consistent matador kills against mutants.
Too bad the double barrel shotgun is a weak weapon, it suffers from video game shotgun syndrome, meaning the devs are scared to make it powerful, so you just end up with a mediocre or bad weapon. Like the effective range is way too short to deal with specials in 1shot (can't even kill poxbursters with both barrels lol), the damage looks good on paper, but doesn't seem to be enough and half the blessings are dog water. I think all the new weapons are mediocre apart from the Pickaxes which are a solid A or S tier depending on which one you use. Hopefully the devs will buff the new non-pickaxe weapons in the next update.
@@Tyrgalon Yeah it can be good sometimes, but other times it's just feels like a sneeze gun. I think I'd put the double barrel into high C tier, maybe low B tier, but it's got quite a lot of limitations compared to other weapons. I hope it sees a small range buff and small damage buff to make breakpoints more consistent, then it will be perfect, a true super shotgun. Some of the blessings could use a looking at as well.
@@troller9838 Its best for a close quarters vet build that does a lot of melee and swaps between them a lot. It shines with the talent that loads ammo after a melee kill allowing you quickly pull it out and blast anything in front of you with 1 shot. If you want a dedicated gun shoot good at more than close range then the other shotguns are for that.
I don't agree that it's weak at all. Running a pretty typical shout-specialist vet build you can easily top frag and top damage. It does have weaknesses but its fun that weapons have down sides. If you want a shotty with range try the agripinaa or law bringer.

It does tighten spread but only while sprinting and you only get two shots. Compare that to shorter range but clearing 6+ ragers in a single shot.

Yeah I also have to agree, Run and gun + full bore allows my zealot to destroy units. Plus you can slide and reload keeping forward momentum

I'd say its 70% but that's still not amazing. I think its a good way to up DPS if you're running deathspitter into enemy groups.

Big love the double barrel shotgun, and I wanna know where I am able to get the basic data like in 0:39 and the code in 8:32 It confused me a lot because of the terrible game tutorial.
Data like that is in the weapon inspect menu but also check out games lantern. The code is in a repository and you'll want to track down the modding discord and go from there.

Heya! This build for the Supe- I meant gun gun... BIG BOOM STICK is very very nice! And I was wondering if you where to do an entire build with it like with talents and stuff what would you do? Im just getting back into the game after this update and it got rid of my old one XP So im sorta scavenging around to make a new one!
Voice of command and weapon specialist is the exact right build for this weapon on vet. If you were thinking of a different class let me know.
Maybe it was nerfed at some point, but the people saying run and gun is a must have on this thing have to be under placebo and don't really test things objectively.. 10% spread is hardly noticeable and not enough on its own to actually make it reliable to snipe man sized specials and kill. It gets a little tighter while sprinting but still not by enough to matter, and grows again while sliding. It's nowhere near as good as run and gun on the ogryn rumbler which gets a substantial 30% for some reason.
If you really want to snipe things with the double barrel and use it as a primary rather than as a backup room clearer used only with weapon specialist crits, executioner stance alone will lead to a much more noticeable choke on the spread and further kills due to the damage, or dance of death on zealot with a huge 75%. Both barrels is also just the better non damage blessing since you get much better uptime with it where you need it, using both barrels to make sure everything in too close for comfort is either dead or knocked down.
Came back to this video because I might’ve found something new? I noticed that crouching constricted my reticle, but only when aiming both barrels. I’ll check later, just wanted to post this in-case I forget, and I didn’t remember hearing this when I first watched.
I am not aware of that mechanic for this gun, it may do so though.
@@Reginald-sc9tk I checked again. The reticle for hip fire has some height and width, the double has some greater height and greater width, and crouching double looked like the same greater height, and the width decreased over time to make the reticle look like a circle.
Watching these kinda videos lets me know how much of a filthy casual I am….
My videos are for filthy casuals so they don't have to be a tryhard sperg like me just to understand how to get value out of their gear. 👍

Problem with short-range guns in a Tide game is you have a dedicated short-range option in your other hand already, and this Tide has many dangerous long-range enemies. Seems logical that the best class pairing is one that has innate ranged abilities like throwing knives. I will have to chase the Manstopper blessing somehow.
I totally agree with you but like anything in the tide games, you can make it work if you figure out the more shooting gallery areas.

You certainly can use it more if you have something like dance of death. But I'm not sure its worth it specifically on this shotgun.
I have a bit of a soft spot for reducing spread on shotguns as much as possible in all sorts of games. Not only does it make your range a bit longer in practice by only being affected by falloff, but taking a weapon that's designed around hitting every enemy in a room, and putting every instance of damage between a person's eyes often has spicy results
so many people saw the doom super shotgun but might i suggest an alternative. Scout from tf2

My build can one shot all enemies but a carapace but it knocks down carapace completely and for them I have a chain saw
You can certainly build for that with the right talents but its highly niche and feels bad compared to other options I feel.

Okay so it wasn't just me. Why did they buff Gunners? Kind of wanna know the reason for buffing one of the most aggravating enemies in the game.
I think it was incidental to buffing shooters. Shooters need the buff, maybe not stalkers. But gunners didn't. They need other things.

Also, I didn't realize there was a mechanical Distinction between Stalkers and Shooters other than in name and appearance. Wonder if we'll ever see Dreg Stalkers.
@@mizranozahara968 Technically speaking dreg shooters are dreg stalkers repurposed. Scab stalkers will walk around while firing and move to melee. Scab shooters will generally retreat and try to fire from covered positions.

Doesn't the folding shovel handle crushers all by itself, there's no real reason to shoot them first?

The game involves none of this, just go hit heretics. The spreadsheets are so people can understand the large volume of often undetailed stats that are at play so they can get better.

@Reginald-sc9tk Man, is it? Because it does not one-shot mutants like the double barrel, double pump does.
I'm level 19 with my Ogryn (His name is "Handsome"), and I'm still struggling with getting consistent matador kills against mutants.
Too bad the double barrel shotgun is a weak weapon, it suffers from video game shotgun syndrome, meaning the devs are scared to make it powerful, so you just end up with a mediocre or bad weapon. Like the effective range is way too short to deal with specials in 1shot (can't even kill poxbursters with both barrels lol), the damage looks good on paper, but doesn't seem to be enough and half the blessings are dog water.
I think all the new weapons are mediocre apart from the Pickaxes which are a solid A or S tier depending on which one you use. Hopefully the devs will buff the new non-pickaxe weapons in the next update.
I think it's merely a game design thing, not devs being scared or something
Its very powerful at closer ranges, there are a ton of (veteran) weapons that are specifically good at long range already.
@@Tyrgalon Yeah it can be good sometimes, but other times it's just feels like a sneeze gun. I think I'd put the double barrel into high C tier, maybe low B tier, but it's got quite a lot of limitations compared to other weapons.
I hope it sees a small range buff and small damage buff to make breakpoints more consistent, then it will be perfect, a true super shotgun. Some of the blessings could use a looking at as well.

Its best for a close quarters vet build that does a lot of melee and swaps between them a lot.
It shines with the talent that loads ammo after a melee kill allowing you quickly pull it out and blast anything in front of you with 1 shot.
If you want a dedicated gun shoot good at more than close range then the other shotguns are for that.
I don't agree that it's weak at all. Running a pretty typical shout-specialist vet build you can easily top frag and top damage. It does have weaknesses but its fun that weapons have down sides. If you want a shotty with range try the agripinaa or law bringer.
Leave it to fatshark to drop the ball on a stupid easy weapon. This game sucks.
