I was so hyped for Lego Worlds, the freedom and the exploration aspect on the beta version were wonderful. But the release version didnt have the same charm. I dont think Lego Fortnite will be able to create a world made entirely of lego bricks, but maybe a Lego Worlds 2 in the future? I can dream
Trouble is Lego Worlds was kind of too many games at once. Lego, Minecraft and a bit of No Mans Sky to name a few I think it was one of those games that didn't quite have a goal for those who like to have some sort of End Game.

And this mode isn’t even fully done yet. That’s the interesting part. Epic did say that they are going to expand this game mode further and further down the line. Not just with making proper Lego minifigures renditions of all the Fortnite skins in the game but with more content on top of Battle Royale, Creative mode and maps, Festival, and Rocket Racing
So, basically this is what both LEGO Worlds and Fortnite were originally meant to be, before the former was abandoned and the latter was converted into a battle royale shooter.
Pretty much, early footage of survival fortnite in development kind of resembles 7 days to die, but slightly more cartoony

This video felt like an ad, no criticism which is very weird coming from AntVenom. Honestly, I've really enjoyed LEGO Fortnite since its release, I've played it for hours. Theres a lot of issues within the game that just didnt see the light of day here and i wish they had. Seeing as you were sponsored here, it doesnt give me much hope of seeing an honest review.

Duh, what word you hear at the start of the video? SPONSORED. Obviously it's an ad. The video is not valid criticism but blind recommendation from AntVenom.
And I played this LEGO Fortnite and let me tell that you are very limited in being creative in LEGO Fortnite. It's worse than Minecraft in the context of creative freedom. It's more like half-baked Terraria which still makes it worse.
Challenge: don't sound like you're reading a script from Epic designed to sound as positive as physically possible.
Difficulty: impossible
Thats not how these partnerships work at all. What happens is the company comes to the creator and says "I will offer you $x if you play the game and make a video about it", there are a few details around how long the video will be, when it will be posted... and thats about it, contract signed. Nowhere in these contracts is the creator required to say anything about the game, much less anything positive. Anyvenom could have crapped all over the game if he wanted to, he gets paid just the same.
@@Prowl8413 I feel like there was a complete lack of any negative feedback about the game?? I haven't played the game, nor done much research, but I can say for sure that I literally have not heard a single positive thing from the tens of people I've spoken to in real life about Lego Fortnite...
@@jacobbarta6856 A lot of times people that take these deals don't throw much negative feedback in for various personal reasons, but I don't know Antvenom so I won't speculate... people are just generally nice, and positive... I'm sure Antvenom had a good time, and wanted to spend this video talking about that.
Me personally, I have been playing a lot of Lego Fortnite, and enjoy the game quite a lot. It definitely has it's area's where it needs to improve, and it's not a Minecraft replacement, as it has quite many systems that are different, but it's still in the same genre, so there will likely be a fair amount of playerbase crossover appeal... some will like it a lot, some will want nothing to do with it.
@jacobbarta6856 So? Those people are likely friends as I don't imagine you walking up to random people irl and asking them about Lego Fortnite of all things. That means you likely have similar interests; which, while not necessarily meaning you will have the same opinions on such subjects, does make it far likelier. If I were to ask who enjoyed playing Minecraft on r/Fortnite, I would probably get much different answers then if I randomly polled the general population. While not a perfect analogy, it does get my point somewhat across. Just because everyone *you* talked to didn't like the game, that doesn't mean no one enjoys it. In fact, all of my friends who have given it a shot have all been pleasantly surprised.
While I do agree the video sounded a bit... overly scripted I think a large part of that is just Antvenom's overall deadpan delivery found throughout his videos. Someone like The Russian Badger makes even the most blatantly sponsored section feel not at all like an advertisement because of his chaotic personality and video style. Thus, when someone like Antvenom, who has a very formal style, makes a sponsored video it seems all the more "fake" even if, realistically, the sponsorship deal likely had very little impact on the script.

This game surprised me, as a survival game it gets a lot right. The best way to describe it is Valheim-lite, but it has some unique features going for it like pre-build structures and vehicle building.

Fast forward to now, the game has gotten new small parts of progression, new trinkets to have fun with, a fishing mechanic and constantly improving food system, a whole new vehicle-building system that just got added TODAY, new building blocks, new weapons, a ton of quality of life changes and more. I'm personally so excited to see where this game goes in the future and what it'll be like in a year.
We already know there's a new biome and enemies getting added soon, with a new level of progression as well, so it's safe to say the LEGO Fortnite team has big plans :0

this is a 10 minute ad about fortnite, Epic games has given him some things to say about fortnite and the things he is saying are not his real opinion about the game .
i actually really enjoy this game. I want to give my honest opinion on it:
It has a few shortcomings such as item health, Inventory problems (both they've tried to fix so at least its actively improving) and a few game breaking glitches like me having infinite exhaustion and not being able to run. I chalk this up to it being new and not so much it being because its poor quality. it can be tedious and frustrating at times but is so satisfying when you get to your goal. Building stinks, caves don't regen resources, but other then those knit picks i actively have sunk MANY hours into this game with my beloved. Its a fun alternative to Minecraft with both being different enough to not feel like a "can i copy your homework" scenario. I love the glider and being able to get that, while again tedious is so rewarding. I hope they keep updating the game and keep improving it. More biomes, more improvements, and more secrets will be so amazing. I really hope they do keep the promises of keeping it updated and fresh! Good Job Epic, may have broken many other game companies, but this is a fkn GEM!
You should try the game again in case you haven't since launch, it's gotten quite a bit of new content and quality of life/bug improvements :o

I don't think Fortnite is the vessel that should carry a Lego game. Lego Worlds was a step in the right direction in terms of an ideal Lego sandbox, but it seems to be neglected or abandoned. I don't even get why Fortnite is choosing now to branch out to... a Rock Band clone and a Lego-themed Fortnite sandbox.
As for customisation, I think Worlds did it better. The entire world was generated with official Lego bricks, you built with Lego bricks. This just seems to be a slightly more free interpretation of Fortnite's build mode. It's kind of cool, but I don't see this as a Lego game. It shouldn't be "Lego Fortnite", it should be "Fortnite: Lego Edition".
It's an okay game. I don't think this is the sandbox to challenge Minecraft, though. I can see this not having the same appeal Minecraft does for just how much you can do in the game. I just feel this latest rework of the Fortnite brand, combined with how the Battle Royale has evolved, shows that Fortnite is losing its identity. It looks more like Roblox than Fortnite. I feel adding more brands and intellectual properties isn't going to save Fortnite from being this metaverse-esque cloud of experiences lacking any identity. Cool to see on this channel, but not a great game, in my opinion.
I was hoping for a more analytical look at this entry into the genre, but the entire video felt like an infomercial.

Probably has to do with consoles not being able to support the catalogue of previous lego titles that attempted to add in creative freedom with the individual pieces/models.
Easily missed feature: vines can be fed to animals to help refresh their pet to loot mechanic

With Fortnite had an open world experience similar to something like dayz/rust without the lego. Or TDM matches like cod. Love the gunplay but sometimes want a break from BR format.

In my world I need 20 minutes just to get to a desert, which is pretty much the main biome for progress. The durability is also abysmal, even after they increased it and there is also no good way to get resources from animals, they just despawn if you quit the world or you are too far away.
If they address that, I'll get back to the grind.
use stairs and a glider for faster travel, there's an enchant table where you can put durability buffs on items, and kill every mob you see so you dont meed to worry about having a farm. find solutions :)
@@frootTVcards I´ve been doing that. It´s still slow. The enchantments come pretty late and are relatively costly, no repairing possible, too. Your storage is quite limited, so killing every mob you see isn´t really an option.
They won't. There is the fun gadgets you can build to jank your way around. And they have already gimped worldgen by making biome diversity forced into a closer and smaller area instead of addressing any problems with their game, of which there are too many.

I think calling it “LEGO Fortnite” is a mistake.
I’m a LEGO-games fan, not a Fortnite Battle Royale fan, and I honestly thought it was just Fortnite with a LEGO skin. I had no intention of trying “Fortnite but LEGO.”
Now that I know it’s a survival game and not a BR, I will give it a go.
Lego fortnite is so good and I'm so glad to see antvenom supporting it, I'm very astounded that Epic is pivoting fortnite to be a game launcher, so so cool

@AntVenom Question: What's the reason for the End-Farlands looking different than the Nether and Overworld Farlands? I don't mean the blocks obviously, but rather the very shape of the Farlands. It looks like they are rather horizontally built, unlike the Nether and OW farlands which are built vertically. Why would that be?

I found a way to break Minecraft bedrock edition. Current version 1.20.51. First go to the end in creative. Next type /setblock ~ ~ ~ portal. Make sure you didn't move from 100 50 0. It will take you back to the over world but over 32,000 blocks in the air. All sound is gone to and you can't use spawn eggs.
Honestly I have played this for at least 2 days irl at this point ... and I'm a Minecraft Purest but If this is keep up to date with new stuff every month or so I honestly think this could be a Minecraft killer! I hope Mojang step up there game but yeah at this point I have been playing more Fortnite then Minecraft

Even though it’s called Lego the only thing that’s really Lego are the creatures and buildings.
There is a build limit so if you want to build a giant mansion good luck with that.
Not much to really do in the current update other than grind resources and build.
Building can be really fidgety and restrictive with walls being red 90% of the time.
No good transportation so go and spend like 20 minutes walking to the desert.
I hate free games they should punish me for having money in my bank.

2:24 "and that's only the beginning" - more like that's all there is to it. The game is severly lacking in content and stuff to do, it is a barebone survival game with eating/temperature mechanics, some base building, and enemies to fight, nowhere close to replacing or competing with Minecraft.
i can get longer out of playing Lego fortnite then i can minecraft survival, it's less repetitive, and then theres the rest of it
@@KwikBR Less repetitive? Are you joking? The progression of Minecraft from punching wood to getting an elytra takes around 10-20 hours of leisure playtime if you explore all the basics like base building, exploring, trading with villagers, resource collecting. Both games have survival mechanics which are very similar, but lego fortnite is still way too new to be considered a competitor. You can have your own taste and enjoy either game, I enjoyed my first 7-8 hours as well, but later on I discovered how simple to gameplay loop was and that it lacked content really badly.
that's all there is for now. I think it was supposed to mean that the game will get updates with more new content in the future
