  • We install 860mm length and 22mm (7/8ths inch) drag bars which a flat bars with a small pull back on Steve the project XV750 using the stock risers to give a slimmer look. We also put retro grips and new mirrors on the bike. The bars and grips were purchased from (im not associated with or sponsored by)

    Huge difference in the bike for the better. It's amazing how a change like that can change the whole look and feel. looking forward to seeing what you have planned for the headlight/indicators "face" of the bike. So far 3 thumbs up.

    TH-cam supressing notifications again (shakes fist) but great job mate - first thing to go are those $%£&! looking handlebars - looking good! I also approve of the proper use of a vice wrench (aka "murderer") for any parts you are not looking to recycle :)

    this is a great mod. I did the same thing to my Virago but just like mine, your mirrors are now at a different angle and it kind of takes away from the great look the straight bars did for it. Plus the mirrors are now so far inset that it's hard to see what's behind you without my body being in the way.
    Do you have any suggestions for retro fitting mirrors to get them back to their original position they were in with the original bars? or at least closer to it? There's got to be something that can be done to make the mirrors more aesthetically pleasing. thanks again.

    • @iRidetas
      @iRidetas  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had bar end mirrors which fixed the problem and were something a bit different for a bobber!

  • @bigred8438
    @bigred8438 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey when I changed out my handlebars I somehow messed up the start button do you have any idea where the issue might be (it doesnt start the bike at all)

    • @iRidetas
      @iRidetas  หลายเดือนก่อน

      May be a short between the button and the metal bars, or a short or broken wire on kill switch or start button, is the clutch switch plugged in, shorted or broken wire, blown main fuse would be where i would start

      Pull them or cut them off, mate. If you are this unsure and lacking confidence of how to remove grips, I would question if you should be messing with the the bars in general.
