Great question! That really depends on how long before I'm going to wait before the next step and what I'm spraying over. Bare clean metal I typically will use etch primer. However this is only good if the vehicle is stored inside. Bare metal or mostly bare with primer or paint in areas I will use Epoxy. Epoxy can also withstand time outside. PLUS epoxy will tell you if you have bad prep area by wrinkling back. I find myself using epoxy more often because of the versatility.
I don't really need it, but I see man-mountain-Marco using the Eco-gun so much that I want to try it out myself. You have the only other videos I have seen of the gun in use. Gotta save my pennies. Last spray gun I am buying(I tell myself)😂
Great question, you don't have to deal over the 2790G primer. In the case of the #PoleHunterCamaro I used the SMR-265 1K sealer, it makes for a great bed and does not need to be sanded.

The Eco, Pro & MV1 are worth every penny. Having a tool that works for you instead of against you makes a HUGE difference 👍🏾
I use the speedokote 2k urethane high build and mix it for sealer too. I spray it over evercoat feather fill
